New iPhone 12 release date, price, specs and leaks Posted: 01 Oct 2020 04:31 AM PDT
Posted: 30 Sep 2020 03:48 PM PDT Naturally the 12 is newer but it's also coming in at $250 or more than the SE2020. And for advocates of smaller smartphones, the screen size is really the key issue and losing the black bars of the SE and going full screen might still make the SE the preferred small device for many people being that it could still end up a more manageable screen size than the mini. For those of you smallphone fans, what are your thoughts? Does the OLED screen, smaller overall size and newer hardware make the 12 mini more desirable for you or are you feeling touch ID, LCD, cheaper price and the smaller screen? Switching from android to first iPhone ever - questions/things to know? Posted: 30 Sep 2020 10:54 AM PDT Like the title says, I've only had android phones since the dawn of smartphones. I've decided to take a leap into iPhones, specifically to the iPhone 12 Pro Max. It'll be my first apple product ever! Currently am using a Samsung Galaxy S8 (released in 2016). Some questions: 1) The biggest concern I have is adblocking. I have a system-wide adblocker on my non-rooted android phone called SABS. It uses Samsung's Knox to blacklist ad servers. Every app installed does not display ads, other than apps with embedded/server-side ads (youtube, spotify, etc.) I've seen iOS has the app adguard pro, and some VPN options. Does apple have a system-wide adblock equivalent? Any current-day recommendations? 2) How easy/compatible is it to transfer texts, call logs, contacts, pictures, etc. from android to iOS? 3) Biggest changes from android to iOS? Broad question but would love to hear any kind of feedback! Thanks! [link] [comments]

I find that the 12 PRO (6.1 in) is too big for my hands. However, the 12 mini (5.4 in) might be the low-end model. Is the low-end model more similar to the iphone XR and or the regular iphone 11 (non-pro)? I've only owned the iphone 6s, iphone SE (1st gen), and Google Pixel 3. I really want Pro specs (triple camera), so I'm not sure what to get anymore since the Pro is still too big. Thank you

iOS 14 significant battery drainage Posted: 30 Sep 2020 05:34 PM PDT
Posted: 30 Sep 2020 04:01 PM PDT We do a lot of walking around the neighborhood (I guess like everyone). Sometimes when I walk out the door I am using an app and it seems like the iPhone takes a long time to give up on the WiFi and switch to cell. Is there a way to adjust that priority? I have an unlimited plan so I would burn the extra bandwidth for the convenience [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Sep 2020 10:06 AM PDT Did anyone else notice that touching the screen very lighly and simultaneously moving your fingers on the screen activates the icon rearrange utility and the icons start vibrating? Or am I the first to notice? It is working on iPhone 6. [link] [comments] |
