What are your favourite free (NO in-app purchases/ads) hidden gem apps? Posted: 17 Oct 2020 06:48 AM PDT There are many hidden gems on iOS that are beautifully made, have great functionality, no ads or in-app purchases/subscriptions and yet still free. Many of them are open source too. Some may have subscriptions available but the free versions are themselves totally adequate, a thing of beauty on their own and still without ads. Which ones are your favourite hidden gems? Here are some mine: Signal Transit Shop Ecosia BlockBear! Simplenote Bear (has subscription which sucks but the free version is excellent) 1.1.1.1 (has a subscription but the free version is perfectly adequate) WeatherCAN (if you're in Canada) BitWarden DuckDuckGo Firefox Focus VLC Microsoft To Do Spark Credit Karma/Borrowell Onion Browser Libby Solitaire: Decked Out [link] [comments]

[Request] A real system to clear cache Posted: 17 Oct 2020 06:37 AM PDT Short version: something similar to iCleaner (jailbreak), to clean apps caches. Large version: since iOS 14 was launched I found in it all the reasons to not jailbreak anymore. The features implemented replace most the tweaks I was using. Excep one: cleaning cache files. I I'm crazy obsessed with this... I'm looking a real way other than remove and reinstall the app. I read about sync with iTunes, but I don't know if works for everyone... Thanks. Posted: 17 Oct 2020 03:07 AM PDT Security bug in iOS 14? When my iphone is locked and I open the camera you can see all my photos from the reel. On previous iOS, that didn't happen. [link] [comments]
New devices flairs are available Posted: 17 Oct 2020 02:15 AM PDT Hi r/ios, the new devices flairs (iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max) are available on both old Reddit and Redesign. [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 Oct 2020 12:59 AM PDT I've found: FreeTone, Talkatone and TextNow. All 3 of these give you a free phone number and let you call other phone numbers for free (regardless of whether the other person has the same app or not). And if you're texting or calling within the US/Canada, both functions are free and don't use any credits whatsoever. I've found various other Wi-Fi texting/calling apps on the App Store that claim to be free, however they either need credits regardless of your region (US/Canada doesn't matter with these — these select locations don't make it free). These apps are only free if the other person has the same app as well (but this isn't necessary for FreeTone, Talkatone, or TextNow). Have you guys experienced any better Wi-Fi texting/calling apps from the App Store? [link] [comments]
