| Posted: 23 Sep 2020 10:44 PM PDT I've been using an iPhone 7 since October 2016. It is on 13.7. I bought it with T-mobile for personal use. My dad started using the iPhone X around December so I decided to use his old phone after he had switched because I liked the black color more than my white phone. My dad's iPhone was also a 7 bought in October. Nothing different from mines; only a different color. A few months ago, the phone started slowing down and I noticed the camera quality decreasing. Sometimes the phone would fail to take videos and the some apps would crash. This were occasionally occurring issues that mostly would go away later on or I'd restart the phone. The worst problem was when the microphone completely shut down. Siri wouldn't work, and if I were to receive a call and answer, my phone would instant cancel the call. The microphone seemed completely inaccessible. That's when I decided to switch back to my white iPhone 7. I transferred the data and factory restarted the black iPhone 7. Despite the factory restart, the microphone on the phone still didn't work. Then, the same symptoms started happening on the white iPhone and the microphone shut down again. I'm looking into getting a new phone soon but i'm just worried the same thing may happen again if I transferred my data to a new phone. I'm not sure if it's cause something in my phone is causing my phone is shut down or if it's an iPhone 7 related problem. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you [link] [comments]  |

I was texting earlier that day with Alex, and since the message he disliked seemed up familiar, I decided to search the iPhone messages search bar for the specific message, since I thought I missed it. However, ever since this occurred "other" storage has now taken up more than half of my space. I'm not sure what to do, when I googled people told me to clear history and tabs in safari. | WhatsApp can't delete videos or images Posted: 23 Sep 2020 10:44 AM PDT I have an iPhone 8, on WhatsApp I am having an issue where I can't tap and hold on images or videos to delete. Tap and hold works on text but not on images. If I want to delete multiple images I have to hold on text first to get in the delete mode then i can select multiple images to delete. if anyone has any suggestions please advise. | Weird text messaging after update to 13.7 on Xr Posted: 23 Sep 2020 10:24 AM PDT After updating, I sent a couple text messages to people and was told that my messages "came in funny." When I inquired, they said the sender from my message read "Maybe:" followed by my contact info. Then i sent a text to a friend who was sitting beside me and saw what the other people meant by "came in funny." I sent the message off of an old thread that appeared to come in to my message recipient as my phone number (as it appears under their contacts). The message sent after update appears to recipients as coming from my iCloud, or from "Maybe:" me, even though I tapped an old message that appears to come from my phone number. | Restoring to factory settings with forgotten restrictions passcode Posted: 23 Sep 2020 07:56 AM PDT My son has an iPhone 5c, which is running on IOS 9, and we want to reset the phone to factory settings to give it to my younger son, however, we have an issue in that i have completely forgotten the restrictions password, and hence, it is impossible to restore it to factory settings. I have 9 failed attempts and now it is just telling us to wait 1 hour - so guessing is no good. So... What is the easiest way to reset the phone without this password? We are not bothered about his data or info being lost as his contacts are on a SIM card, so there is no need for a backup. Also, we do not own an Apple computer. | Posted: 23 Sep 2020 06:56 AM PDT Hi. I am getting some bugs with my iPhone 11 pro max and I don't know how to fix it. Sometimes my camera will go black completely, YouTube videos will play with audio but the screen itself will be black. Messenger also bugs out where I can't send pictures. I tap on photos and the pictures load behind the keyboard. I literally can't send pictures on messenger at all. All of these problems happen simultaneously. If messenger can't send photos, my camera will be black, utube vids won't play with the image etc. It goes away when i restart my phone but inevitably comes back. | Automations stop working when sleep mode is enable after last update Posted: 23 Sep 2020 06:54 AM PDT Well I create a little automation to play random music in the morning as an alternative to the default alarm and it works like a charm, but with the last update it doesn't work :( I tested the automation turning the sleep mode manually and it works, but when the sleep mode and wind mode are enables the automation never runs. I configure it to run without ask but at this moment I can't get it work again. Does anybody have similar issues or know how to solve it? Thanks to all for your help :) [link] [comments]  |

My question is: Can I update my device to a version grater than iOS 12.3.1 but lower than the newest version ? Because I like to update to iOS 13.7 for reasons. Please do not ask me why. And if this is possible, do I need the SHSH2 Blobs for this version, like when I'm downgrading ? (Which i don't have obviously) I hope this is the right subreddit for this question.
