What is the best value iPhone when you consider how long they will be supported? Posted: 01 Sep 2020 06:55 AM PDT My iPhone will need to be replaced soon and I've been trying to work out the best value replacement but I'm not sure exactly how to calculate it. I really don't care about having the most up to date model, in fact I'd be happy enough just getting a 7/8 if it made sense. I understand there's around a 5 year support expectation, so presumably getting an iPhone 7 now would mean replacing it again relatively recently? So I got made a list of iPhones, their release year, and a rough price for a renewed model: iPhone 7 (2016) - £210 iPhone 8 (2017) - £250 iPhone X (2017) - £440 iPhone XR (2018) - £450 iPhone XS (2018) - £470 iPhone 11 (2019) - £590 iPhone 11 Pro (2019) - £720 I feel like X and XR are more or less pointless considering the price difference for an XS. Like buying a drink at the cinema, you always end up going supersize because it's like $0.40 more... Anyone have any thoughts on which seems like the best value? [link] [comments] | ||
