I tried the checkra1n jailbreak plus the checkm8.info activation bypass, but that made it worse. I lost the receipt years ago, so Apple won't help me since they wouldn't take my credit card bill as proof even though the dollar amount I spent at the Apple Store was exact to the penny for a 6s plus WA sales tax. As you can see from the screenshot, I'm trying to use "open with" with very small images, but it takes hours. Is there a way to just force OSX to preview based on the *.jpg file name and not open each file and read each file before showing the Preview option? It's wasting a ton of network bandwidth. Which is weird because when I go to Storage, it shows that I still have 500gb available. I emptied the trash bin and removed some files so I should have plenty of storage available. In the hard drive disk information, it also shows I have 500gb left but it also says 1tb is used out of the 1.03tb. This thing: https://apclassroom.collegeboard.org/lockdown (Which I have now installed and have used without issues) Prior to downloading this, like any arrogant little shithead who doesn't bother to check what they install, I snagged this thing: https://digitaltesting.collegeboard.org/digital-preparedness/cb-secure-browser-installation The "Secure Profile" is the specific problem here. It fucked over everything until I deleted it and the browser, and purged the cache. I have successfully managed to restore switching windows with trackpad, mouse, and keyboard, and my function keys are set back to normal. My issue here is that Mission Control (or whatever F3 was doing) won't work. This is annoying because I have quite a few windows open and need to quickly access some of them. I've gone into mission control's settings and set the dashboard to "As Space" and set F3 as the key for mission control. However, whenever I quit system preferences, it auto resets to off. It also refuses to work even when I've set the trackpad gestures and kept SysPref running in the background while it still read "As Space". This is annoying as shit and I need help. Posted: 03 Sep 2020 08:19 PM PDT I was restoring my iPod Touch 1st gen running version 1.1.5 when my power went out unexpectedly and shut off my computer and the iPod is now stuck on the "connect to iTunes" screen. I can't go into DFU mode as it will just turn the device off fully and then it'll automatically turn back on with an apple logo and then after a few seconds to the same "connect to iTunes" screen. I tried to play music and noticed the speakers had water in, so I attempted to remove the water using the 'Sonic V' app, which had worked for me before. After using this I have noticed water behind the screen slowly getting bigger (currently around the same size as the home button). I fully restored my phone from its iCloud backup, which recovered the original memo. Now, months later, I've noticed that iCloud replaced the recovered memo with the edited version. My available iCloud backups, as far as I can see, all come from after the restore (and presumably after iCloud fucked me over by thinking it knows which version of everything should be synched across all devices). | MacBook Pro 13” 2018 - Display stopped working $20 part quoted as a $600+ repair - LVDS board Posted: 03 Sep 2020 01:26 PM PDT I have a perfect condition MacBook Pro that isn't two years old and the display stopped working (screen glitches out and shows big strips of pink across the display). It's out of warranty, no Apple care, and after getting it diagnosed at an Apple partner repair shop, was told the fix is just shy of $700. I'm told the cable connecting the display to the LVDS board stopped working and they are only authorized to repair by replacing the entire display. Understandably, I don't feel like spending over half of what the product costs within two years and no physical damage. The cable itself costs $20. Does anyone have experience getting this issue fixed at a third party without replacing the entire display or have any other ideas? I am at a loss for words and beyond upset that I no longer have a working computer without spending a ridiculous amount of money for a relatively new product. [link] [comments]  |

My issue is that all 17+ Apps on the Appstore are blocked, regardless of Disabling All Apps and subsequently Allowing All Apps via Screen Time, or disabling Blocked Content or even disabling Screen Time altogether, and the issue persists. My birthdate is before 2002, and the date and time is correctly set to 2020, so that can't be the issue either. I believe it could have some ties to my Apple ID, and perhaps if it is possible to set your birthdate or restrictions in there, my parents or I set it incorrectly or it needs to be updated. If it is of any useful info, I believe my parents partially set up my iPad years ago and I strongly believe they enabled restrictions on there, and has since linked with my other devices. I believe there was a password for accessing the restriction settings as well, but I don't know what that password is, because my parents entered that in. I don't see anywhere I can guess or type in a password for content restrictions on my iPhone, so I'm not sure what to do. My motivation for why I want them disabled, is because I am seeking to download YouTube, Reddit and their stickers from the Appstore. (I use Safari as a workaround for YouTube and Reddit, which is how I am creating this post.) As far as I have Googled, there isn't any solutions for my issue, and so I am asking in case anyone knows!
