| Posted: 30 Aug 2020 07:53 AM PDT I was looking for an iPhone X and I saw one for 250 euros. The phone has a cracked back and the face id is not working but that doesnt really bother me. The thing is that in the listing he says that the phone is overheating on the bottom part of the screen. The screen was replaced. What are your thoughts? Now my phone is experiencing frequent shutdowns. It shuts down at around 35%. It also loses over 30% battery through the night while idle. I notice some stutter too. Posted: 30 Aug 2020 08:10 AM PDT I bought my phone secondhand (mint condition, no scratches no water damage) and it worked perfectly for around 4 months, but then suddenly one day in march/april it shut itself off and repeatedly tried to turn itself on again. sometimes it does manage to turn itself back on and break the loop (of the apple logo then the black screen) but this only lasts a short while before it turns itself off again. i've tried pretty much everything, wiping the phone, downloading a clean file of the os etc. I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same issue as I have and what it was. I know i'm going to have to take it in for repairs and drop some money on it because i'm pretty sure it's not protected with applecare and i don't have a purchase receipt to get warranty. I've tried to reset it with volume up and down and then power and nothing. Then connected it to iTunes holding volume up and then volume down plus power and releasing power after 5 seconds holding the volume down and no connection to iTunes. Is my iPhone dead?
