Note taking app that handles huge books well ? (600-1000+ pages) Posted: 31 Aug 2020 12:11 PM PDT I know that Notability and Goodnotes 5 are the 2 apps everybody recommends - but can they handle such amounts of pages ? I would love to have an app that can seamlessly handle bigger books and that allow for quick seatch of terms and would rather avoid spending 20bucks just to check that. I've got an iPad Pro from 2018 if that matters [link] [comments]

For those wanting to buy an iPad Pro but can’t find one. Posted: 31 Aug 2020 07:58 AM PDT A lot of us, including myself, ordered iPads directly from Apple for the education discount. But, it's going to take a while before they ship. If you're in a rush to get one, you may want to check the following. Adorama has the 2020 iPad Pro 11" and 12.9" 1TB models in stock. It looks as if they will be getting more 2020 models soon. They also have various 2018 models in stock. Plus they ship to over 200 countries. My local Costco had a few (like 2) 11" models in stock. It seems retailers are getting small quantities in waves. Overall, just keep an eye out. [link] [comments]
Transfer pictures organized in directories from windows pc to iPad Posted: 31 Aug 2020 08:30 AM PDT Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I'm trying. I would like to transfer directories of pictures in my iPad, without having to create directories manually from iPad. It's possibile to do something like that? I would like to having them organized that way to see all pictures from a directories without mixing them together. Can I do something like that? Maybe an app that allows me to do that? Thanks in advance, and sorry if this isn't the right place to ask. [link] [comments]

Margin Note 3 ipad Users: How you use it, QnA Posted: 31 Aug 2020 09:48 AM PDT So I recently checked out margin note 3 and I liked it. There is very little discussion on this amazing app on reddit. Just wanted a discussion on how you use it, productivity hacks and solve each other's QnA about the app. QnA: 1. Procedure for Edu discount on ipad. Anyone? 2. Your review of the app: Pros vs con? 3. Comparison with its competitors (Ex: LiquidText)? [link] [comments]
Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard? Storage help! Posted: 31 Aug 2020 02:09 AM PDT Hello. I'm looking at getting the magic keyboard when I upgrade to an ipad pro next year. My concern is the apple pencil detaching when stored in a bag or something. What storage solutions have you all found success with when using the magic keyboard and apple pencil together? Do you just store the apple pencil separately and only attach it magnetically when you're all set up and using the keyboard? Have you found any unique products? DIY hacks? Thanks in advance! Posted: 31 Aug 2020 09:35 AM PDT Hey guys, the education discount is supposed to be until September 29th or thereabouts, can we be sure if the ipad air comes out the discount won't be cancelled for the pro? [link] [comments]
Best cheap way to mail an iPad Pro 12.9? Posted: 31 Aug 2020 05:48 AM PDT Second gen iPad Pro 12.9 that I'm delivering back to the seller as there was a slight problem with the screen dipping in one spot when writing. My lovely boyfriend accidentally threw away the original packaging while cleaning up, so I'm trying to think of the best way to ship it back. I don't want to buy a ton of packaging stuff, but also want it to be safe for travel back. Would wrapping it to my hearts content with bubble wrap (while I pop the leftovers) and putting it in a box work? [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Aug 2020 12:39 PM PDT So I just realized a tiny black dot on my Apple Pencil which I got 1 month ago. Is there any way I can get it off or prevent more? Does a sleeve for the Pencil work? I saw that it can get worse to the point where it can ruin the colour of the iPad where the Pencil attaches at the magnet. I really don't want that to happen! :( [link] [comments]

Any tips on better managing my time and staying most productive and less distracted between devices? Posted: 30 Aug 2020 10:56 PM PDT I have an iPad air 3 and an iPhone SE 2. I average 7 hours a day total on both devices. I'd like to decrease that to a max of 4 or 5 a day on the weekdays and no more than 6 on weekends. I've tried limiting screen time but doesn't really help me. I've thought of having other people I know inputing their own code into screen time locking but most, if not all will forget the password or lose the paper, note, or app where they wrote it in. I do stay pretty productive with work, sports, and friends away from my devices, and with my devices I edit my photography, videos, create designs, draw, take notes, read books, manage my business and more, but I do feel too much of it goes to youtube, anime, 123movies, and gaming. Any suggestions? I would also like to just get an iPad with cellular and get rid of my iphone but about 2-4 hours of my days are spent on spotify and mostly on my iphone at track practice, gym, or on my bike on the trails [link] [comments]
Would a magnet like these damage my iPad Pro? Posted: 31 Aug 2020 09:49 AM PDT I got a drafting desk and thought it would be great to get some sort of magnetic sheet that I could stick to the desk surface so I could use my iPad Pro while standing at the desk when it is at a steep incline. Would a magnet like one of these damage my device or are magnets not going to interfere with the device? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Teaching math - hybrid classroom - Im looking for app suggestions or any other thoughs/advice Posted: 30 Aug 2020 10:34 PM PDT I'm a high school math teacher but my school will be having a hybrid of online and in class teaching. That means I'll see half my class every second day, but I need to keep the kids at home up to date with the learning otherwise they'll fall behind. I bought an iPad pro 12.9" thinking that it would help me reproduce the classroom experience for those at home (I was also needing to replace my 8 year old MacBook air). Anyway, after playing around with it, im starting to worry that I'm not going to be able to do what I envisioned I could do. But this is my first iPad, so maybe you lovely people can suggest ways to make my teaching vision come true 😊 I don't know if there are any combination of apps that can do this, but here goes: I want to be able to have a slide show, but with interactive slides like PearDeck or NearPod, but I also want to be able to write on some slides without the students being able to write on them at the same time. Then I want to be able to save it all with my writing on it, ideally as a pdf and post it to Google classroom. I also want to do the lecture over Google Meet (the only video software approved by our school board). As far as I can tell I can't write on Google slides. I can in PowerPoint, but my school board blocks add-ons for PowerPoint 🙄 I've been looking at maybe using goodnotes or notability, but then I can't make the slides interactive... they'd basically be a pdf file that I'm writing on right? I think the easiest would be if there's something that would allow me to write on google slides and save it as a pdf afterwards. Thoughts? Suggestions? Advice? [link] [comments]
Best free alternative to things 3 Posted: 30 Aug 2020 07:18 PM PDT Want to try a GTD app and as of now can't justify spending that much on things 3 although it looks neat I want to see if a GTD app works for me before justifying that purchase. Any free apps that would help me with this? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]
iPad Air 2 max download speed? Posted: 31 Aug 2020 01:51 AM PDT I wanted to ask because we have one and it's DL speed with a speed test app / site seems to just be 3MB/s when our ISP provides my PC with 60MB/s We tried the ISP's router and a neutral router (connected to the ISP's router) and both gives the same results for the iPad Air 2's side [link] [comments]
Apple to make Samsung Dex type version for iPad OS Posted: 30 Aug 2020 06:06 PM PDT Apple should give the option for an Samsung Dex type version of iPad OS so that we finally can have resizable windows to make multitasking on iPad work like a dream. What do you guys think? [link] [comments] |
