    Best Remote Desktop that does not feel like Remote Desktop

    I wanted to use an iPad Pro to see a Remote Desktop of a windows machine. Looking for the program that makes the Remote Desktop "feel" the most like a native iOS app.

    Meaning no dragging around a cursor but everything responds to touch. And having the iOS keyboard pop up automatically during text fields instead of having to click a keyboard icon. Have tried parallels access, teamviewer ,vnc but all have some problems. Parallels access is close but still not there

    Have not tried jump but this requires payment upfront. Don't want to plunk it down if it's not any better.

    Any help is appreciated

    Precalculus notes on iPad?

    I have an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil and have started practicing taking notes on my iPad. I've spoken with my friends that have completed precalculus and they all say that I need to do everything on paper and and they can't imagine doing it on a tablet because of the type of math. Anyone done [pre]calculus work on their iPad (I would use goodnotes fyi) and how was it?

    (I also have a matte screen protector to help w paper feel/handwriting)

    Augmented Reality App Question/Request

    Does anyone have a recommendation for an app that would allow for scaled PDFs/Floorplans to be shown in AR on the iPad? Something Similar to the Trace app with the image attached. The picture is almost exactly what i'm looking for but I haven't found away to reduce the opacity of the overlay.

    If anyone has any recommendations please let me know!

    USB c adapter problem

    Usb c adapter problem for IPad Pro

    I recently bought a recommended usb c adapter or dongle, that has a 3.5mm Jack for headphones among other ports to use with a 2020 iPad Pro...I use Sony MDR 7606 studio headphones which have a 3 pole TRS end on them. When I plug them in, all i is hear horrible distortion. So I bout a 4 pole TRRS adapter and that doesn't work either. Is there a setting with the iPad that I need to change? Or is the adapter (QgeeM 8 in 1) maybe just a piece of shit? Any suggestions appreciated...THANKS

    Help explain poor Zoom performance of an Ipad 6th generation 32 GB

    We had a birthday party on Zoom and we could not use grid mode. There were 6 different participants in the Zoom meeting. Also, the audio kept failing even in non-grid mode. We were using wifi, out Ipad does not have cellular.

    We switched to an Iphone and we has good audio there.

    We have a 6th Generation Ipad with 32 GB. I looked up the Zoom requirements and it seems to meet the requirements.

    We were thinking about upgrading to a newer Ipad, but I am a bit unsure since the specs on our current one seem to be good enough,

    Camera bump/writing on a desk (Pro 2020)

    I had a quick question concerning the camera bump on the new pro model. I've been using it and the magic keyboard since it came out for personal use with no issues. Love the thing, and it's making my life easier in a lot of ways. So I decided to start bringing it with me to work as well, and again, it's a huge help! The only problem is when it comes to taking notes.

    We tend to keep hand written documentation here when working on projects and when sketching building layouts (engineering firm), and I was hoping to use my iPad for this as well. I have the Apple Pencil, and I have a notebook app that allows me to export full pages directly to my work's server in PDF form. Very easy to do, and eliminates me having to scan everything I do in constantly. The problem however is the camera bump.

    I try writing lightly, but I'm afraid the camera bump is going to eventually lead me to bending the iPad as I write. I could keep the iPad in the magic keyboard to prevent this, but it's harder for me to write this way. So my question is, should I worry about bending? (I know how fragile this thing is), and if so, is there another type of case I could use just for when holding the iPad in landscape? Like maybe one that's basically the same as the magic keyboard, without the keyboard?

    Sidecar/Apple Pencil not playing well together

    What are your thoughts re: the September Event. New Pros? New Air?

    So I recently ordered a 12.9" iPad Pro. But now there seem to be (surprising) rumours that the new iPad announced in September may be a Pro rather than Air. That seems strange... but it would also be strange for an iPad Air to come out with A14 or A13Z or whatever it is and be faster than an iPad Pro.

    Partly asking for selfish reasons but also just curious about what Apple's move is here. What do you think (or what have you heard) is going to happen with iPads in 3Q/4Q 2020.

    Anyone with iPad pro 2020 and iOS 14 is experiencing any battery improvement when IDLE?

    I was wondering if iOS 14 improves the battery life of the iPad pro 2020. Honestly, it really sucks when IDLE. it can drain easily a 10% a day, when my 6 years old iPad Air 2 behaves much better.

    I am seriously considering to try the public beta now that it must be more stable. It really can't go worse.

    Would using two USB-C hubs via a USB-C splitter degrade the speeds of the ports?

    I'm looking for a hub but can't find one that fits my needs exactly.

    I want USB-C for connecting my SSD, USB-C (PD) for charging and Ethernet. Unfortunately most hubs don't have two USB-C ports and the ones that do are fairly large.

    I was thinking of buying a hub I found that has USB-C for data and an Ethernet port then use a splitter and use the second side for charging.

    My worry is that transfer speeds from my SSD, Ethernet, and charging speeds would slow down since they're going though a splitter.

    Am I correct in my thinking?

    If so, I have to go with the Anker PowerExpand 8-1 which looks big to me but is the only one I found that that two USB-C ports and Ethernet.

    Trading for newer device?

    I just saw that Apple had listed new iPads and watches on the EEC which means they might be released soon. I ordered a 2020 iPad Pro a couple weeks back and it's due to arrive in about a week. Has anyone been in a similar situation where they were able to return/refund their device and swap for a newer model?

    Importing PDF Files that are ‘searchable’/able to be interacted - Notability

    I'm using Safari to export French news articles in PDF format into Notability to read and study new vocabulary. Currently, I just use the highlighting tool and look up the words later in a dictionary. Is there a way to import these articles so that instead I can long press and activate iOS's 'Look Up' option and more quickly find the definition for these words using Apple's dictionaries?

    Looking for a iPad Pro 12.9 Sized mouse pad

    Hey all,

    Just got the magic keyboard and was looking for a mouse pad (or something similar with the grippy bottom) that is about the size of the 12.9 iPad Pro. Just worried about scratching up the camera and the back of the iPad when pulling it off the magic keyboard and using it in tablet mode.
