Dont downvote people who are just asking for help,if you cant help...move on, downvotes will lower chance for help

[Question] [Discussion[ Who would like a tweak dev tutorial done right?

    Posted: 01 Aug 2020 05:26 AM PDT

    the guide

the introduction chapter has been released, with chapter 1 coming shortly!

Context: So, there are a few tutorials out there, that attempt to teach tweak development, but most of them expect that you already have a strong understanding of bash, can use a terminal blindfolded and that you can read and write objective C as a second language. it is clearly evident to me, that a lot of people would like to learn tweak development, but simply don't know where to start and what to do. If the community would like, I will create weekly lessons on tweak development, from beginner to tweak developer every lesson will be done on device, so you won't need to worry about getting a laptop!

    Objectives of the corse:

    1. I'll teach you how to use a terminal
    2. We'll move onto learning some bash (even if you don't know any)
    3. We'll then move onto installing and setting up theos
    4. We'll create a very simple tweak
    5. We'll then move onto learning objective c (even if you don't know any)
    6. We'll move onto decrypting apps, getting headers
    7. We'll learn what to hook,
    8. We'll make another tweak
    9. The tweak development gets more complex
    10. We'll publish our tweak to github
    11. I'll teach you marketing
    12. We'll publish our tweak to a repo like Packix The lesson objectives are not final, and if you beleive I've missed something, let me know

[Paid Release] LockShut - A new layer of security! Fake shutdown and more

    Posted: 01 Aug 2020 07:46 AM PDT

Lockshut is the piece of software that Apple forgot to add in terms of security, a new weapon against thieves or forgetting your device at a party only for someone to shut it down...

It brings a new never before seen features like the fake shutdown, which also enables all the connectivy in your device so you can track it down, as well as other features like authentication to shut down.

Here's a list of the features with some explanations: - Disable: Disables all shutdown gestures. You won't see even the slider - Access medical: The shutdown gestures will allow access to medical ID while the shutdown slider will remain locked. - Fake shutdown: When trying to shutdown the phone while locked, it will perform a "fake shutdown": the screen will remain black as if it were off, all buttons will be disabled. This featured also disables notifications and enables DND automatically. Please disable calls on DND and enable DND on unlocked if you want this feature to work properly. To wake the device again, press both volume buttons. - Authenticate: asks for authentication (touchID or FaceID) before allowing a shutdown. WARNING: TouchID or FaceID must be enabled. This is a security meassure. If the only form of authentication is a passcode nothing will happen.

DISCLAIMER: Even though this adds a new layer of security, the force shutdown feature that comes with every iOS device is still present, since it cannot be disabled by any means.

    [Help] My iPhone is DEAD!

    Posted: 01 Aug 2020 10:27 PM PDT

please somebody help me!, & please don't downvote until you read the post..

today I tried jailbreaking with checkra1n on my iPhone 8+ running iOS 13.6 & it's not the first time for me, but this time after entering recovery mode I failed to enter DFU mode (& it's my fault) so the iPhone restarted but I pressed retry before it could complete restarting so the screen blacked out and checkra1n keeped saying "checking if iPhone is ready" for along time...

~~ & now I can't turn on my iPhone! I tried a lot & don't want to lose my data & my iPhone & I will appreciate it for my life if anybody could help me.~~

Edit: thanks for everybody for helping me out, what a great community!

    I'm very grateful❤️

[Tutorial] Boot checkra1n straight from any computer (again) - YABCI - Yet Another Bootable Checkra1n Installer

    Posted: 01 Aug 2020 08:00 AM PDT

YABCI is a bootable checkra1n installer based on Void Linux, like bootra1n. However, it differs from bootra1n in that it has

    A. automatic login B. A dialog based "wizard" that auto starts C. (experimental) odysseyra1n support

    How to use:

    1. Download and install Rufus from here: https://rufus.ie/
    2. Download the ISO from the github page below, or you can use the mirror if you want.
    3. Select your USB device and the ISO in Rufus
    4. Click Start
    5. Reboot, enter your BIOS, and enable legacy booting (This is called many things, usually legacy mode/bios mode, and it's usually at the very top)
    6. Select the Void Linux drive
    7. Profit! NOTE: You only have to enable legacy/bios mode once, after that it will remember that you want to stay in legacy mode.

Why you may NOT want to use this and use something else instead:

It's too big: (507 i think) MB - this is because I wanted it offline so I downloaded the odysseyrain tarballs and stuff and tossed them in the ISO as well

It doesn't have UEFI support: In almost all BIOS's there's a button you can click at the top that says "Enable legacy support" or "Enable BIOS mode". After you click that, you should be fine.

Again, odysseyra1n support is experimental :)

Please share your thoughts and comments! You can find the iso at:

https://ftp.sudhip.com/yabci/VERSION/yabci.iso where VERSION is the current version (0.1B3 at time of writing, so it'd be https://ftp.sudhip.com/yabci/0.1B3/yabci.iso. You can also check the changelogs for each version by going to that url but substituting yabci.iso with changelog.html)

The github repo is at https://github.com/Finermeerkat137/yabci

[Discussion] Shortmoji; because it doesn't seem like it gets enough recognition

    Posted: 01 Aug 2020 03:22 AM PDT

Hopefully the dev of [[Shortmoji]] sees this solely because I wanted to thank you for such an amazing tweak that seems like not a lot of people know about

This tweak has been a HUGE part of my "iOS jailbreaking" or a reason to jailbreak, mostly because of how versatile and useful it is. The ability to use both shortcuts to cut, copy, paste, etc. along with a bar of emoji's instead of switching through all your languages, and selecting words or selecting all and copying, is just absolutely mind-blowing 😂 This tweak has received little to no "recognition" as I have only seen replies on the update page for the tweak within r/jailbreak

Plus, all the customization offered and the timely updates (i.e., Nepeta has Wasabi on her repo since yesterday, and Shortmoji already has a compatibility for it) to provide the best and most updated and versatile version possible

and most importantly (for the jailbreakers) ITS FREE! This tweak could/should EASILY be worth $3-5 alone, especially with how much work it looks like the dev put into this tweak

Honestly this may be one of my favorite tweaks and i just wanted to publically let everyone know, THIS TWEAK IS A GAME-CHANGER

Add it from the repo!: https://miro92.com/repo/

    Absolutely beautiful tweak ❤️

    Edit: Added Repo
