To AOD or not AOD — that is the question. Posted: 28 Aug 2020 05:55 AM PDT There is no doubt that AOD is a tentpole feature of the Series 5, however, I've found that it's less useful to me in my daily use. As an experiment, I tried using AOD (with Wake on Wrist Raise off) for a week to see if I liked it and I have to confess that I didn't. No doubt some folks will consider this borderline heretical but let me explain why I find it generally less convenient to me. The first thing that annoyed me was that outside in daylight, the display is virtually impossible to read. It soon became annoying to have to tap the screen to see the time. The other thing that I was less enamoured of was that by the end of the day, the battery was averaging between 15-20% lower than if I had AOD off and Wake on Wrist Raise on. This is not to say that AOD is entirely without merit: there are occasions where it is actually useful for me, but these occur rarely. Of course, YMMV—just my two cents. [link] [comments]

Apple Watch randomly starts syncing? Posted: 28 Aug 2020 08:20 AM PDT So far today my Apple Watch has randomly reset and started to sync. I 100% know this has happened twice but also on 2 occasions my watch made that vibration where it started back up so potentially 4 times. Has anyone had this issue before? If so, what can I do to fix it My watch is an 4 44m Nike with cellular [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Aug 2020 08:53 AM PDT I already use prominent vibrations, and that isn't enough. Is that really all apple has to offer? I'm not even a heavy sleeper. I wake up constantly over the night. [link] [comments]
No text notifications on watch after a phone call Posted: 28 Aug 2020 08:30 AM PDT I've had this issue for a while and thought maybe a watchOS update would fix it but it hasn't. After a phone call, either on the actual phone or Bluetooth device (car, EarPods) I no longer receive text notifications on my watch. It's the strangest thing. If I go into phone settings and disable Bluetooth and then enable it works until the next time I use the phone as an actual phone. Both watch 4 and iPhone XS are up to date. Anyone else noticed this? Posted: 28 Aug 2020 06:42 AM PDT Just wondering if anyone has a heads up - first time buyer. Do cellular carriers lower the prices on older models when a new one drops, or is that only for the gps models? Any assistance is greatly appreciated! [link] [comments]

Can my mom access my heart rate from my health app? Posted: 27 Aug 2020 06:05 PM PDT I need her to be able to access my heart rate when I'm not at home. Is that possible, and if so how? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Aug 2020 04:28 AM PDT I have a iPhone 8 Plus and Apple Watch series 3 and for some reason if I set a timer or a custom alarm on my iPhone, and if either one goes off, the phone has the notification banner but the Apple Watch doesn't have any notification banners at all and I have both paired. Anyone know why it's not working anymore and know how to fix it? It's kinda getting annoying now and it's been way too long since it stopped and really appreciate if you can help. [link] [comments] |
