The tv is plugged to my Logitech Z906 speakers via optical. Somehow can't change the volume of my speakers via the Apple TV remote. Anyone know if it's possible? | Posted: 03 Aug 2020 01:23 AM PDT I've noticed in the past month I'm getting the same screensaver every single time, the LA skyline at night. This is with all four aerial categories on 'show'. I decided to hide all the other categories but 'show' underwater only, however I still only get LA at night it makes no sense. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? I've had Apple TV 4K for nearly 3 years, it's plugged in via Ethernet and I get speeds of 550mbps. I've looked online at all the screensavers and there's many I've never seen, but I have automatically download daily on. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 02 Aug 2020 08:21 PM PDT So ambient backgrounds, from rain to coffee shop to space sounds, are pretty epic and some help me sleep, some help my productivity, etc. What I've been doing to organize them is I have a youtube account and I save them to playlists, but it's a bit messy and I'd prefer something else. Is there an app that can simply collect videos into folders and organize them? Something similar to plex but wont require me to download the videos. Anything you can think of? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 02 Aug 2020 07:44 PM PDT Hey guys as the title says, I got a problem. My Apple TV works fine, but there is a issue. Sometimes in movies/series there are micro stutters. It's mostly only one single stutter which looks like the picture is paused for really one millisecond, but the picture just stops for an extremely short time. When I skip back to check if it's part of the video itself, the issue doesn't appear, so it's certainly a problem which isn't caused by the video itself. It doesn't matter which app I try. AppleTv, Netflix, Amazon. All the same. Doesn't matter which HDMI cable I use (I use apples recommended Belkin HDMI cable), and it doesn't matter which HDMI port on my TV I use. Doesn't matter which TVOS and it doesn't matter which content. 4K, HDR, SDR, HD, all the same. I have match frame rate and match dynamic range activated, but it doesn't help. My internet speed is 1000MBits so that should be more than enough. This issue doesn't appear on my PS4, neither does it appear on my native smart Tv apps (e.g Netflix). This issue is only visible on my Apple TV. You got an idea what I could do? I have tried 2 different Apple TV's 4K and both show the same issue on my TV so it shouldn't be hardware caused. However, I'm not very interested in keeping Apple TV, though I would love to own the movie for my own personal watching. I want to know your opinion: In 2020, where basically all new TVs are Smart TVs and have all apps you could need and even More, is it really still worth it to buy an Apple TV (4K)? I mean, all the normal apps like Netflix amazon YouTube etc run perfectly fine on every smart TV, and many many smart TVs support AirPlay and appleTV now. Not to forget Samsung's smart TVs, which even have a native Apple Music app available for all 2018+ smartTvs in their store. So really, regarding all of this, a Samsung smart TV replaces basically every appleTV aspect which was worth to buy. Apple Music? Available. Airplay? Available. AppleTV+? Available. All other apps? Available. Games? Well that's the only category left in which appleTV got an advantage. [link] [comments]  | ||

I know when you compare apple tv apps to mobile or full web versions it's seeds vs full blown apples, but at least put the basics in. I love my apple tv, but I feel like it could be improved in so many areas. Which brings me to my second question. Why can you not create folders in your itunes movies and tv series libraries? | ESPN refuses to AirPlay to AppleTV Posted: 02 Aug 2020 07:26 AM PDT Whenever I try to AirPlay ESPN+ to my AppleTV, the entire screen is black. It works with apps like AppleTV+ and Disney+, but it refuses to work with ESPN. If you minimize the app, it continues to work like normal with the app in the bottom right corner. But if you open it back up again, the screen goes black. I should mention the audio works and this is all being casted from an iPad. [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 02 Aug 2020 10:57 AM PDT Hey guys As an owner of a 2017 quality and very expensive Samsung QLED Tv, I'm extremely disappointed that appleTv isn't available on my tv because it's from 2017. but for every extremely cheap Samsung tv for like 300 $ from 2018 on it's available. I think that's really unfair to costumers like me. And it's definitely apples fault, because Disney, Netflix, prime and all these apps are available and also available in the newest version for my tv without any issues. Do you think I'll have keep using my Apple TV for ATV+ or you think one day it'll be available for older Samsung TVs? [link] [comments]  |
