Thinking of switching back to iOS, but a couple concerns I have Posted: 31 Jul 2020 09:48 AM PDT Hi all, I had an iPhone from the very first one through the iPhone 6s plus. At that point I switched to Google pixel devices for the cameras and the unlimited full quality photo and video backup for free. Well Google took that feature away in their devices so now I'm looking at possibly switching back since everyone else in my life uses iOS. I have a couple concerns though, the biggest of which is losing picture in picture, I use this a lot with both driving directions and YouTube. I watch YouTube or YouTube TV for at least a couple hours a day while surfing reddit or just chrome. I haven't seen this feature in iOS, or am I just missing something? Is there a way to do this with jailbreaking? Same thing with background video recording. My daughter dances, and the ability to record with my screen off allows my to actually record her performances(most events and recitals don't allow recording so they don't have 100 bright screens in the air, and so they can sell you 2 minute videos for 75 bucks). I doubt they've added this as a feature, but can you do it after jailbreaking? Thanks!! [link] [comments]

How can I extract a text message conversation from my broken iPhone 4? Posted: 31 Jul 2020 10:06 AM PDT So I have a very old iphone 4 that is basically broken. It's lock button doesn't work, and I have to wait for it to go to sleep. It's home button still works but only half of the time. Also, it's the battery is broken in a weird way. When the iPhone is on and you put it to charge, it will not charge. After the iPhone is dead, when you put it to charge, then it starts charging. As a matter of fact, since the lock button is completely broken, charging it while its dead and then plugging it again, is the only way to turn on this phone. Now, I have a very important text conversation that I want to extract. Is there any way to get screenshots without using the lock key? Or any software that extracts text messages? Smart Siri Enabled Speaker Question Posted: 31 Jul 2020 09:30 AM PDT I have an iphone 6 on 12.4.6. I am looking to purchase a blutooth speaker that can pair with my phone and I can give Siri commands with it (especially check text messages). At home I keep my phone in one spot and I like to have Siri read the text messages to me. Are there any cheaper options than a Apple Homepod? I was hoping to spend less than $100 (or even $50!). Thanks! [link] [comments]
