When I connected my Samsung phone to the wifi, there is wifi and I am able to stream YouTube. However, when I am using my macbook/iphone, I am unable to connect to the internet and it shows an error: no internet connection. I really need wifi to work and I'm running out of mobile data. This iPhone has experienced an unexpected shutdown because the battery was unable to deliver the necessary peak power. Performance management has been applied to help prevent this from happening again. Battery Health is 87% - just wondering if a battery replacement will fix this from shutting down/warning? | Photos on message thread won’t load. Posted: 26 Jul 2020 11:22 PM PDT I recently erased my iPhone 8s to factory settings to free space. Everything was backed up to iCloud, (I have done this before) but for some reason this time, all of the photos that are in each message thread won't download to the "I" section of messages. If I scroll through the whole thread they will download but the "I" feature that makes retrieving old photos easy and convenient won't show old photos, only recent ones since the reset. Posted: 26 Jul 2020 09:17 AM PDT I'm BAFFLED as to why my phone audio isn't working properly and I am SO hopeful someone here might be able to help me out!!! 1. iPhone model:iPhone 11 Pro 2. Purchase date: March, 2020 3. What is the issue, how often does it occur and how to replicate it? 4. What caused the issue? I wish I knew what caused this, but I'm fairly convinced it's a software issue because I had THE EXACT SAME THING happen a few months ago. At that time, I was on an iPhoneXs, and after Sprint and Apple told me it was hardware and I had to either repair or replace it, I decided to replace it. But when I restored from a backup, the problem was happening on the brand new phone. At that time, I restored the new phone back to factory settings, and the problem disappeared. I had to rebuild all of my settings and apps from scratch, but the audio was working fine...until a couple of days ago when the problem reappeared. I looked through to see which apps had been updated recently and deleted them one by one, rebooting after each to see if the problem would go away. It didn't. Finally today, I restored the phone to factory settings, did NOT restore the backup, and now the problem is STILL HAPPENING. So now I'm not sure how it COULD be software since there's really no software on the phone now, but the microphone and speakers work with all other applications EXCEPT the phone calls, so I'm stumped as to how it could be hardware. Posted: 26 Jul 2020 12:59 PM PDT This has happened twice in the last couple of weeks. iOS has been updated to its latest version, 13.6. I woke up this morning to check my phone, and it was really hot, with the battery drained. I was asleep, so I obviously wasn't using it. Raise to wake was turned off, so I don't think any motion disturbed the phone. There aren't any real issues now, but I worry about my battery/phone being damaged because of a defect. What's going on? | iPad mini 2 black screen/not recognized by iTunes or computer Posted: 26 Jul 2020 06:47 PM PDT Ok so I have an IPad Mini 2 model A1489. The only problem with it previously was the digitizer chord had been ripped so I couldn't unlock it. I ordered a new digitizer that came with a pre installed home button and IC chip. I've done multiple repairs on iPhones before but this was my first iPad. Once it arrived I started disassembly and I'm (about 60%) sure I unplugged the battery first, but technically the digitizer was unhooked and ripped already when I opened it. I was sure to be completely careful with the LCD since it was functioning before hand. I replaced everything and tested before I sealed it but it won't turn on. Just a black screen and I already checked to see if I could see the FSU t Apple logo but there's completely nothing. iTunes recognized my phone immediately but did nothing when I plugged the iPad in and no charging sound. I've tried unplugging and replugging everything a few times and I don't know what else to do please help 😠This was my brothers and if I can fix it I get to keep it, I read I might have to replace the motherboard but what are my last attempt options before that? Just recently, my mom was having issues with her iPhone(6 or older) so a family friend tried to help her backup her photos. The problem is that when they did, they backed up the photos to my dad's iCloud account. Which pretty much replaced all of the photos he already had in his cloud. I'm not sure what happened next as I'm not really experienced with Apple products, but I think iCloud then synced with my dad's phone and ended up deleting all his photos and replacing them with hers. I can't seem to find any of his photos on the iCloud, and they're definitely not on his phone which leads me to believe they're gone for good, but I figured I would ask here to see if anyone had possible ideas of a way that the photos could be recovered. | Posted: 26 Jul 2020 10:23 AM PDT Basically, my iPhone just closes itself randomly and there's a black screen and a white loading thing in the middle (my phone didn't die, I still have a lot of battery left when it happens) Everytime it happens I press on the open/close button until it opens again because I'm scared that it won't open. When my phone opens again, I can enter my password but it's like when you restart your phone and for example if I was looking at something on Twitter I don't see it anymore and it's back to the home page (does that make sense?)This has been happening for a few days now. Most of the time that I remember it happening is when I take a screenshot, but there have been other times when it just happens randomly. I've had this phone for almost a year now. | Posted: 26 Jul 2020 11:38 AM PDT hey i don't really know if this is the right subreddit but i'm gonna ask anyway. i recently got an iphone 8, and was shocked there was no earphone jack. my boyfriend had some spare earphones that plug into the charger hole and he gave me them. but, i accidentally broke them. i ordered some online and found out that they're "lightning" ones that need bluetooth. no matter where i look, there are only the bluetooth earphones that plug into the charging hole. does anyone know where i can get some that don't need bluetooth? i listen to music all the time when i'm working at home and in school and i hate the idea of constantly having bluetooth on. also my boyfriend had those earphones for years and doesn't know where he got them [link] [comments]  |

| Muting Texts from two numbers under the same contact? Posted: 26 Jul 2020 10:06 AM PDT iPhone x, most recent firmware. Long story short, I mute my brother's texts and he got a new phone. But it's a secondary phone (he still uses his old one). When I added his new number, I just added it to the pre-existing contact. So I guess the primary is like cell and the secondary is home, or whatever, under the contact options. Anyway, now when I get texts from the new phone, it shows up in the old message group that's been there for years. That I have muted. But the notifications are not being muted like they have been because I guess it's coming from a new number? The options for those messages are muted, as they have been. I flicked it on and off just in case. To clarify, I don't want to mute the calls from those numbers. I just want zero notifications from any texts. Worse come to worse, I can just add that new number as a separate contact and mute the new messages. But if I can avoid doing that, I would prefer for cleanliness sake. Thanks! [link] [comments]  |
