| Posted: 06 Jul 2020 11:16 AM PDT So over the last couple of days, my phone has been getting really hot when charging. Its updated to the newest version and I just got it in december. Yesterday, on my last day of vacation, it turned off and is not flashing the apple logo in between the black screen. I dont have this weekend's pictures backed up so I really dont want to restore from a backup. Ive tried up volume, down volume, and holding the side to enter restore mode and updating the version to see if it will help but it just goes back to flashing the logo screen. Anyone know anyway to get the photos? I have google and amazon photos but neither backed up the photos and theyre not on icloud either. Programs like reiboot and fonelab seem to have a way to get them back but it like $60. Has anyone tried that or have an account I can use? I dont necessarily mind paying for it, but I want to make sure its going to solve my problem first. Would getting a new battery help? [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 06 Jul 2020 09:59 PM PDT I've received a iPhone7 around a year ago from a family member, as a birthday present. About a month ago or so It started saying that there's no service, and I didn't think much about it because usually I don't use data. I opened SnapChat and the whole entire screen went black, like, it restarted itself. So I tried turning it back on, and it did turn back on. But it put me on the "Hello" starting page and has pick your language, your region, etc. I did all of that and it took me to connect your iPhone to iTunes. I did that and then it said my iPhone is identifiable? Currently, I'm just stuck on the welcome page and I can't access the phone itself, like the homescreen, It doesn't give me any other options to access it either, It just shows pick your region and shit then the connect your iTunes account. Should I take it to the apple store tomorrow? Could they fix it? The model type is A1660 [link] [comments]  |

How do i save myself the money and hasstle of doing that? The question I have is how do I go about transferring my data since I want to keep all of my data while also having iOS 14 on my SE. | iPhone 7+ Heating and Lagging Issues Posted: 06 Jul 2020 03:38 PM PDT Hello everyone, I have the iPhone 7+. I did not get it from Apple, but rather it was a refurbished replacement from Asurion (Since I have AT+T). I've had it now for a year. That being said, some of the parts may not be original. Anyways, last night I dropped my phone, but since I have a case and a screen protector, nothing seemed to happen. I went to bed, set it to charge, and then when I woke up, it started acting bizarre. My phone has been having a hard time connecting to my WiFi and to the local network. It constantly says there is no service (when there is) and then service randomly appears again. Likewise, it keeps connecting and disconnecting from the WiFi. Furthermore, it keeps randomly lagging when I open apps, use the internet, open my camera, or use WhatsApp... and it lags badly. It can take over 30 seconds for my phone to unfreeze itself and perform the action I was trying to achieve. I've tried soft resetting, but it hasn't helped. My phone keeps losing charge very quickly, and when I use it, the top right area on the back of my phone heats up a lot... and the heat is even more intense on the upper part of the right side of my phone. Does anyone know what the hell happened and if it's fixable? Should I get ready to call for an insurance replacement? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]  |
| iPhone 7 Plus gone crazy after update, please help! Posted: 06 Jul 2020 02:50 PM PDT For the past week my iPhone has progressively gotten worse. It's a 7 plus and at first my apps went invisible which I fixed by resetting the home screen. They could still be used but didn't show. Now, my messages won't go through or I won't get messages. Or when they do, they act like they were sent prior to the others. My apps are also crashing and refusing to reopen, namely Messenger and a few real estate apps I'm using. I've turned the phone off and on and I'm so frustrated! Does anyone have any suggestions? Please? Also I'm on iOS 13.5.1 Also, my messages no longer make a sound when the phone is locked or unlocked despite all settings being correct. I don't get notified by sound at all. [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 06 Jul 2020 02:32 PM PDT I think it was a year ago my grandma iPhone 6 got disabled I think. Everytime I try to unlock it it leads me to unlocking it from an iCloud id and password. I think I remember the icloud I'd since I'm the one who helped set up her icloud years ago. She cant read so I was the one helping her. The thing is I dont remember the password anymore nor the old phone number associated with it. Theres always a factory reset but I want to avoid that since theres photos and contacts we dont want to lose. Can anyone offer any advice on how to fix this? [link] [comments]  |
| ios 14 beta apps won't open after facetime black screen Posted: 06 Jul 2020 04:28 AM PDT I had a facetime with my girlfriend and was using the feature that lets you minimise the facetime screen by going to your home screen. I kept switching back and fourth to the full screen and ended up with a black screen on facetime. I couldnt end the call so i asked my girlfriend to end it. After the call ended I could no longer open any apps, the power button also stopped working. I tried to turn off my phone but the power button doesn't work and settings wouldn't open. When my girlfriend called again there would be no notification, the calling screen wouldn't pop up, instead my phone just vibrates so I wasn't able to do anything. Posted: 06 Jul 2020 02:11 PM PDT I used a site called ytmp3.cc to download a 12 second sound clip to my iphone to set as my ringtone, i made it my ringtone via garageband app and deleted the original downloaded file after. Now when i was firsr downloading it a pop up window popped up where there was also download and i accidentaly clicked it. I immidiately realized it was a fake download button and closed page immidiately. Then i tried again on the site and it didnt pop up anymore, i used the real download button and got the file. Now my question is it possible that i also got some malware or something and is that ytmp3.cc page safe to use at all? Would you happen to know of any good ways to bypass "error 14" when attempting to update an iPhone? I can no longer access my phone because it filled up on its own last week, and when I attempted to update it as a means to get out of a "Boot Loop," the phone is failing at that error code. I already spoke with Apple's senior technical support, and they were no help short of saying that it's not going to work. It's an Apple-based boot issue, and the error comes from a failed update. The failure is probably because my memory was filled; and I explained that to Apple prior to attempting to run the update. Anyway, I figured you might have some skills in researching ways to handle such issues. Let me know if you come across anything. I just want my dad's pictures, videos, and audio recordings, from the device. I can live without a phone, to be honest, but I would be amiss without recouping such memories. [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 06 Jul 2020 12:50 AM PDT Hey so I've been trying to back up my iPhone 6 to both my Windows laptop and PC but neither has worked as Itunes doesn't recognise the phone. I've tried with tired party programs and different cords but neither work. I don't think it's either the pc or the cord as I tried with my brother's phone and it recognised them. The computer itself recognises it and gives a prompt in file explorer to open its files but nothing else. The phone doesn't even ask me if I want to trust the pc. I've also tried to back up through the cloud but it never gets passed the estimated time mark. The phone itself is 2/3 years old (not secondhand) and has only started acting up recently with the phone heating up and losing battery extremely fast as well as not loading images. Could anyone help? I really hope it isn't too cooked to back up. Apple support won't talk to me because the iPhone 6 is "not covered for complimentary technical support". [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 06 Jul 2020 04:15 AM PDT My iPhone is an SE (2016 version) so I've had it for 4 years. It charges with my current charger but since the charger was getting old and was starting to give me problems I decided to get a new one. I have now bought three different new chargers and none them work (though my old one still does). They do say they're made for iphone and all that. With my most recent charger, it will turn on my phone from when it is completely powered down when I plug it so I know something is registering, it's just not charging. To go over what I've tried: - tried different chargers and different bricks but only my old wire works - restarted phone multiple times - checked if wires were apple verified - cleaned charger hole - wiggled wires around when I plugged them in Edit: I am considering back up my files and reseting my phone in case this is an issue with my phone's charging software, should I go for this? I'm honestly tired of wasting money on chargers at this point which is why I decided to make a post about it. Also if anyone else has had this issue please feel free to share how you fixed it.
