How long are you guys using your Ipad on average per day? Posted: 06 Jul 2020 12:57 PM PDT Hey guys, I just bought my first Ipad (and first Apple device ever) a week ago and since then I have been using it like crazy. It basically replaced my pc in my living room which is good for the electricity bill. It's so much fun to use the Ipad Pro because of all the fluid animations and gestures. Combined with the Apple Pencil that I bought today it's an amazing device. The 120hz screen is also beautiful to look at. Everytime I get back to my 60hz Android phone it looks like a lagfest after the Ipad Screen. I have been using the Ipad for an average of over 4 hours a day last week. Just curious if other people use it as much as I do or maybe even longer? [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Jul 2020 02:24 PM PDT I just got the Smart Keyboard, and yes I know I am late to the game lol. So far I like it with one exception. It is flimsier than expected. I was wondering if there is any product that attaches a closure/tab to the keyboard? Something that would allow the folio to close over the pencil like the Logitech keyboard does? I know you can buy pen loops for the pencil and some are clips, while others are adhesive. So it is not too far off. I just haven't been able to find anything. [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Jul 2020 08:51 AM PDT One on the top and one on the left/right side and it could switch cameras when you rotate the device. It's very inconvenient to use an iPad in landscape orientation while you're on a video call - I very often cover the camera with my hand. And it's a bigger problem since the COVID-19 outbreak. It could look awful, however. What do you think? [link] [comments]

Any iPad apps that offer true vector brushes? Posted: 06 Jul 2020 06:06 AM PDT Apps that offer vector brushes? Wondering if anyone knows of apps that offer true vector brushes. I assumed Procreate did, but was disappointed to find out that's not the case. I know Affinity Designer no longer supports true vector brushes, had way too many long conversations on their forum about that. I just need an app that can use AI brushes. So frustrating. Maybe there's nothing. I talked to an artist that has AI beta access and he said it doesn't support brushes either. Ugh. Thanks! [link] [comments]
PC/iMac/Laptop supplements for iPad Pro Posted: 06 Jul 2020 02:51 AM PDT I recently got the 12.9 iPad Pro with the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil as a graduation gift for high school. I've been using either this old beatup 11' Macbook Air or some form of chromebook I'd been borrowing from my school for the past 7 years, so I don't own another computer. Despite being an overall amazing device, the one thing I miss from a normal computer is the ability to play games. I'm not that serious of a gamer, and have a Nintendo Switch for most part, but miss being able to play my (albeit small) steam library or download unity games and visual novels on a whim. I'm also planning on majoring in a research-heavy STEM field and have yet to complete any such work on my iPad, so I don't know how efficient it will be. I've been considering a used or refurbished iMac since I already own so many Apple products and I find Sidecar to be pretty useful. My question to anyone who uses an iPad as their main computer is what device(s) do you use to supplement it, if any at all? How did you decide on that device? How well has it been working for you so far, and what would you change? [link] [comments]
Does anyone read books for a long period of time on their iPad Pros? Posted: 05 Jul 2020 06:18 PM PDT I have the 2020 iPad Pro and have books on Apple Books, kobo and kindle. I'm finding that after a few chapters I start to get eye strain . Is their any apps that help ? And do any of you guys also read on your iPads and have trouble with eye strain [link] [comments]
Search Bar should be available in app without a keyboard attached Posted: 05 Jul 2020 11:12 PM PDT Search, IMO, is a critical feature of iPad to enable multitasking. Without Search, multitasking with an app that is not in the dock would be like: launching an app, swipe to home, launching another app, swipe to multitasking interface, launch the 1st app, getting the dock, dragging the 2nd app from the dock. With search, it is opening the first app, search for the second one and dragging it out of the result. Unfortunately, there is no way to bring up the search bar in app in iPadOS 14. The old way in iPadOS 13, swiping down from the top, then swipe left is pretty tiring, too. [link] [comments]
How to make mouse scrolling smoother? Posted: 05 Jul 2020 09:01 PM PDT Is there any possible way to make scrolling with a usb mouse any smoother? It feels really clunky and jittery which is a disappointment because I was really looking forward to using a mouse with my iPad. [link] [comments]
iPad Mini 5th Gen recognizes charger "slower"? Posted: 05 Jul 2020 06:45 PM PDT Hi all! Got my Mini 5 last week and im pretty stoked about its performance. Already tried switching cables (original + aftermarket) but it still takes it time... Is this normal? [link] [comments]
Is it possible to do programming on an iPad? Posted: 05 Jul 2020 11:43 PM PDT Not sure if this is the right subreddit to ask this: I'm studying Information Technology in college, and my 7+ year-old laptop finally broke down with no hope for repair. My only device that I can access while I save up for a new laptop is my iPad. I saw some coding apps on the App Store, Cloud IDEs on the web, then I ran into some discussions on Quora & Reddit regarding the possibility of programming on an iPad. Then this question came to my mind, which is still bothering me, even after I found some good answers on those discussions: Is it possible to do programming on an iPad? [link] [comments]
Picture in Picture for...pictures! Posted: 05 Jul 2020 01:54 PM PDT Hello everyone, I was wondering if there is any app that could put a normal picture/photo in a fluctuating window like "picture in picture" for videos. My girlfriend could use something similar when using a picture as reference. We already use the splitting view integrated or the over-side app (apologies, I don't remember the specific name), but they do cover too much the working area or reduce it. I don't know if is even possible but it's worth to ask! Thank you for the attention! [link] [comments] |
