AppRaven, the price tracker & game discovery network for iOS, has got a large update, bringing many unique features that will make discovering new games easier than ever before and managing your game library effective and painless. Check them out!

After going through all your (mostly positive!) feedback, I have finally released the long awaited update to AppRaven, implementing many of the features you asked for and bringing game price tracking, game discovery and library management to another level!

    For new users:

AppRaven is a price tracker & game discovery network that lets can watch daily updated list of games on sale, add games to wish list, get push notifications on price drops, create game collections and much more!

    https://preview.redd.it/marrv9ktm0d51.jpg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0f1bb876a04dff4027d8d6f5ee5df631c781343a

    New app tracking features

    In-app purchase price tracking

Since many developers today are switching to "Free with in-app purchases" or "Free+" business model, AppRaven now supports tracking of in-app purchase prices as well! You can browse daily updated list of games and their in-app purchases on sale.

    https://preview.redd.it/15vg3skum0d51.jpg?width=2617&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9e11c89863c92325b199e31dd0d947eca11540d3

    Specific meta lists

New update brings interesting app lists, such as:

    • Apple Arcade games
    • MFi Game Controller supported games
    • All available Pre-orders
    • List of the oldest games on the App Store

    App Store reviews

You can now browse official App Store reviews for all games in addition to AppRaven user comments. Reviews can be sorted by rating and even the country they are from. All countries included!

    "Collections parkour"

On each game detail page, you will now find all user collections containing this game, making it easier to "jump" from one collection to another and discovering games based on similarities.

    Custom filter notifications

Create filters with specific criteria (genre, price, rating, device...) and whenever any game / in-app purchase that matches your filters goes on sale, you will receive a notifications.

    For example:

    • Best Mac Games on Sale
    • Best Role-playing and Racing Games on Sale

    https://preview.redd.it/b26nndsvm0d51.jpg?width=2518&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=99da85ecd6ee575ccb0d62540b63cbb718493cbc

    Filtering out "common" sales

There are few games on the App Store, that go on sale every few days or weeks, spamming and making a mess in the list of price drops. Now there is an option to hide them completely and enjoy only "rare" sales.

    Mail notifications

Optionally receive mail notifications in addition to push notifications, so you will never ever miss a good sale again!

    https://preview.redd.it/ln8vib8xm0d51.jpg?width=1614&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e784936ef461158b6ce173473534ba1836228d05

    New social features

    Recent user activity feed

Newly created game collections and comments will be now more visible to other users, resulting in helpful game reviews, questions and game recommendations.

Writing and reading comments is now much easier and more convenient. You can now include links to games and collections right in your comments, that can be opened directly inside AppRaven.

    Managing collections

Games in collections can now be easily sorted and reordered, making browsing collections less painful and more interesting.

    Easy sharing

Share game sales and collections on Reddit or other social media with just one click! Your friends can now view sales right from Safari on the AppRaven.net website, without having AppRaven installed on their device.

Get AppRaven for free on the App Store

Find more information and screenshots on AppRaven.net.

I wish I had more time to work on AppRaven over the past few months, but sadly I had to spend a lot of time studying due to final exams. But I still think that this update will certainly improve your user experience by a lot and I really hope you will enjoy it!

Create your wish list and start tracking sales today!

Also, I would really appreciate any feedback and new ideas :)

PS: r/AppRaven subreddit is now public, you can share anything interesting there or send me feature requests, new ideas and bug reports.

Introducing our new game, Rip Them Off, combining puzzle mechanics with tower defense games

    Hi!

I'm Mat from Lozange Lab, and I'd like to introduce our new game: Rip Them Off.

This is our 4th iOS game, after The Unic, Swim Out, and Shuttle Shuffle.

Rip Them Off is a tongue-in-cheek, minimalistic new puzzle game of economic management and tower defense. The Board needs its profits, and it's up to you to line the streets with shops the masses can't resist.

    Here's the reveal trailer:

Rip Them Off - reveal trailer

There's also this article on PocketGamer with more details and a video : https://www.pocketgamer.com/articles/083640/check-out-an-exclusive-in-depth-look-at-lozange-labs-upcoming-satirical-puzzler-rip-them-off/

Release date is September 24th, but you can already preorder it on the AppStore : https://apps.apple.com/app/id1500176379

We focus on unique concepts and styles, and we hope you enjoy this new take on the genre.

How is Flick Home Run STILL #3 in the paid category for top sports games?

    Posted: 25 Jul 2020 04:22 AM PDT

It hasn't had an update in 4 years. Are people still buying it on a consistent level to keep it in the top 5 sports category for the past 8 years?!

Or is this just obvious AppStore manipulation? Grinds my gears nonetheless.

SP Saturday: We had a lot of people comment that they don't like purchasing level packs and would rather the full game unlocked, so here is Laserbreak 3 Pro.

Are there games where you have to wait a really long time?

    Posted: 24 Jul 2020 07:51 PM PDT

Not just like an hour for your energy to refill or something, like days or weeks even. Waiting being the main mechanic. I love the experience of checking up on cookie clicker a few times a year, i thought it would be a neat concept to have just an ultra passive game.

Not totally the same, but I really enjoyed Neko Atsume and that one frog game the devs made. I just wish I had to wait longer.

If I like Hill Climb Racing and the Trials franchise games - what else will I like?

    Posted: 25 Jul 2020 04:28 AM PDT

I know they are different types of games but I'm looking to try a new one. Prefer paid so I don't get plastered with ads.

I like the idea of always upgrading your vehicle and the progression while doing it. It's been years since I've played either of those so hopefully there are some similar games out there. First one I've seen but haven't tried is Earn to Die. If this is decent let me know which one you like best. And let me hear any other games in this genre!

    Brand New games slated to come out soon! {Promo}

    Posted: 24 Jul 2020 09:03 PM PDT

I haven't seen any real hype around these games that are slated to be released soon. So I've compiled a brief preview of these games with explanation on how they should work in a video with game-play footage and trailers. Hopefully this can help curate some great games for you to play. Enjoy

    https://youtu.be/8U0m9OTe-CM

If videos aren't your thing. Here is a list of the games mentioned in the video but of course with no game play or explanation. Which game are you most excited for?

Crash Bandicoot On the Run (Think Temple Run with Crafting weapons and multiplayer)

Baseball SuperStars 2020 (Think arcade baseball with RPG mechanincs)

Guardian Tales (Think Old School Zelda with Real Time PvP and loot)

Plague Defender (Think Random Dice meets Bloons TD)

Marvel Duel (Think if Teppen was a traditional TCG)

iOS14 Beta - Disable Xbox Controller Screenshot?

    Posted: 24 Jul 2020 08:35 PM PDT

For some unearthly reason, installing the iPadOS 14 public beta caused my Xbox One controller to take a screenshot every time I hold down the "change view" button. Obviously this is less than idea, since many games also use that as a keybind.

Has anyone noticed this as well and/or figured out how to disable? I can't find it in settings.

Buying an iPad 7 10.2 to game on, finally transitioning from my Android, looking for game suggestions(!)

    Posted: 24 Jul 2020 04:57 PM PDT

Hi all, as the title says I finally caved in and as much as I dislike Apple as a company nothing brings the mobile gaming experience home than like an iPad so I decided to get one that's been religiously suggested to me by almost everyone and that's the iPad 7 10.2

As far as games go I'll continue playing PUBG on it with the addition of wanting to try Fortnite. As for paid games I'll be getting Terraria on it as well but since the Apple store has so many exclusives and quality games I'm looking at paid ones that will run perfectly on my tablet(do they all run perfectly on every Apple product? I'm new to this lol)with their genre being rouglike/lite-TBC/RTS-RPG

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
