Apple Watch Was brushing teeth... |
- Was brushing teeth...
- My first ballon animation since I got my watch
- My Apple Watch Face setup: fitness
- Had this Series 4 for a year but was never motivated to close rings. This rewards push me!
- My wife bought me the Nike Pride band for my cake day (which is also my birthday, so maybe she bought it for that?) I’d forgotten how nice a new band feels!
- My new series 5 looks beautiful on the beach
- Too “Nice” of a Coincidence
- My first 1000 kcal day!
- I have to be missing something.. Help?
- Series 5 always on display is not working
- I know it’s not much to some, but I got my first perfect week! I wanna keep this streak going.
- I know this would never happen, but I wish Apple would release a fitbit-like that only tracked your activity with little to no screen, so I could wear my other watches while still keeping my activity streaks.
- My Apple Watch Face setup
- Reached 2k calories for the first time literally in the last minutes of the day!
- I just realized Apple Watch records heart rates while sleep... I’m late
- I miss the way my old watch sounded.
- Silver vs. Black SS? How do they wear over time?
- iPhone Health Synch Issues
- Odds of another $100 off sale
- WorkOutDoors app is amazing
- I think I have a band collecting issue.... These bands combined, almost cost more than the Apple Watch itself! Anyone else here have a band hoarding complex?
- Any chance the glass can be replaced in India?
- Wearing at night - charging
- Is there a way to make HomeKit tiles smaller? Or a 3rd party app that has a nice grid?

I have to be missing something.. Help? Posted: 27 Jul 2020 06:32 AM PDT I've been putting up with this for a while, but I can't deal with it any longer. I have to be missing something with my Apple Watch setup, and I hope someone can help. My issue is universal notifications and the fact that I am CONSTANTLY missing notifications of new messages ever since I got an Apple Watch. Looking down at my watch and seeing the iMessage complication with an unread message indicated that I just did not notice. Phone didn't vibrate because my watch stole the notification and somehow the watch didn't get my attention at all. Nothing worse than opening iMessage to find several messages from your wife that get progressively more irritated that you aren't responding. This is particularly bad at work where I am constantly typing and moving my hand to my trackball. I'm guessing that the motion is tricking the watch into thinking that I looked at it, and that is somehow silencing the notification. I don't know. All I know is I'm moments away from selling this watch. My Pebble was soooooo much better for my use case. I have to be doing something wrong. Otherwise I have no idea why these watches are so popular. This experience is infuriatingly bad. Help? [link] [comments]

I miss the way my old watch sounded. Posted: 26 Jul 2020 08:55 PM PDT I know it'd be skeuomorphic and dumb, but sometimes when I'm stressed out or falling asleep, I find the sound of my old ticking wristwatch to be really soothing— would be cool to have a feature on the Apple watch that played quiet ticking sounds (could even let you choose between different ticks) although I guess it'd probably drain battery. I'm not actually asking for this feature just to be clear, but it'd be neat if it was an option. [link] [comments]
Silver vs. Black SS? How do they wear over time? Posted: 27 Jul 2020 09:23 AM PDT I'm sure this has been asked before but I'm looking to upgrade from an aluminum series 5 to a stainless steel model. For those of you who have a SS model, how has it worn over time? I know the silver gets surface scratches easily but I'm guessing those can be polished out? Does the black scratch? Guessing once the black is scratched, you're kinda screwed, right? Thanks [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Jul 2020 08:56 AM PDT I have had a re-occurring issue on my phone, where activity data stops updating for long periods of time, without manual intervention. I find at random times, my watch runs out of battery very quickly (I am assuming trying to send data to the phone, unsuccessfully). Good example is that I go to bed with it at 100% charge, and wake up to it at 25% - and no data health synced to the phone. I have tried the following solutions: 1) Closing all apps and Restarting both devices - doesn't work (tried all orders, putting in airplane mode before, etc.) 2) Reset Synch Data - doesn't work 3) Updating Activity Tracking goals on watch - doesn't work 4) Un-pairing/pairing - doesn't work 5) Turning Bluetooth off on the Watch for significant period of time (1-3+ hours), charge both devices fully and restart them - this does seem to work, but only for a day or less (sometimes hours) 6) Factory reset of phone (and re-pair watch) - Fixes immediate issue, however the problem starts creeping back after several weeks or a month. It seems #6 is the best solution (and was recommended by Apple support), however I find it pretty terrible that doing this "fix" every month or two is the only way to solve the problem. Does anyone else have this issue? It seems to creep up over time (e.g. start with a smaller lag between watch and phone, leading up to a significant gaps and then an overall stop - without manual intervention. I am wondering if there is an app/network setting that is blocking something. As a side note, while the Health/Activity data does not synch, the phone and Watch can still communicate (e..g i can install new apps from phone to watch, ping phone from watch, etc.). So its not just a simple bluetooth issue. Final note, latest updates are installed on both devices, and the issue seems to happen even when they are fully charged. [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Jul 2020 08:44 AM PDT Hello to all, I am looking to purchase an Apple Watch series 5 and i saw that there was a $100 off sale about a month ago at Walmart, Target, and Best Buy. Does anybody here know if they will be bringing that sale back? [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Jul 2020 03:58 PM PDT Hiking is fun but it sucks to get lost in a blazing heat, that was me yesterday while hiking w my AW 3 wo my phone. I thought there has to be something on AW or else im getting a garmin watch. Then I found the WorkOutDoors app for AW. I went hiking today, i was able to enjoy my hike like never before, i love seeing myself on a map with detailed trails on my watch and it syncs with strava. Thanks for making my AW awesome! Posted: 27 Jul 2020 07:58 AM PDT I decided to try wearing my Apple Watch (series 3) at night and using it to wake me up (I don't have the beta, so I'm trying the app Sleep Cycle). The first thing I learned is that unless you put it in theater mode, it will keep me up at night as when I roll over the damned thing lights up. I hope Apple's built-in sleep tracking is smart enough to keep the screen off automatically (is it)? But the one actual problem is then when do I charge it? I'd read you could just charge it while showering. So I did that. It only charged it about 20% in that time. I had to leave it on the charger for quite a while longer to get it fully recharged (when I woke up it was at 56%), and that kind of sucked. How are others dealing with this? [link] [comments]
Is there a way to make HomeKit tiles smaller? Or a 3rd party app that has a nice grid? Posted: 27 Jul 2020 07:51 AM PDT Right now, to use the Home app to turn off a light, I'm likely going to need to scroll for a minute first, since the boxes are huuuge. I'd like to have 6 lights on the watch, ideally in a grid much like WaterMinder's, or just making the boxes in the Home app smaller, so there's less scrolling involved. I tried HomeRun, and I love it! But for some unfathomable reason, you can only add scenes, not individual devices to turn on/off. I don't want to have two scenes for each light bulb in the house! LIFX app is perfect, though unfortunately I have bulbs from other brands too. Is there any better way to control this stuff without scrolling? [link] [comments] |
