    Mixed Cardio On Apple Watch

    Posted: 09 Jul 2020 03:19 AM PDT

Hey guys, My Football Seasons been put hold so I've been doing individual training. A bit of Sprints, Agility, and working on my technique. For a week now I've used the "mixed cardio" workout on the apple watch however I'm not too sure if it's the appropriate workout to choose to provide accurate data.

Just looking for any opinions and suggestions. Thanks

Weird notification issue with ESPN app

    Posted: 09 Jul 2020 06:17 AM PDT

So recently, my ESPN notifications have been acting weird. I get a notification and I go to look at it and while it comes up, I look at it and it just disappears. I barely get a chance to read it and it just disappears. Has this been happening to anyone else>

    Series 5 always on display

    Posted: 08 Jul 2020 11:31 PM PDT

I was just curious how many people use the series 5 always on display and if they see a noticeable affect on battery life?

I've just recently upgraded and I'm not sure if I'm in or out with it?

Also I'm not too keen on the little digital watch face it gives while you've now playing on or some other app! Seems a bit of an odd design

Comparing the edge of the ceramic and other materials such as titanium, why does ceramic have an extra edge or cliff instead of a continuous curve from glass to case?

What does it take to trigger Stand progress?

    Posted: 09 Jul 2020 12:12 AM PDT

I just got my Apple Watch about a month and a half ago and I have a pretty good understanding by this point about how many of the features work. One thing I can't wrap my mind around is the Stand progress in the Activity app. Actually, I do have a similar problem with the Exercise progress. I'll address the Stand thing first.

The prompt simply says to stand up and move around for about a minute to trigger that progress. In the past, I have got the "Time to stand up!" notification at X:50 and immediately stood up and began pacing back and forth in my apartment. Walking around my bedroom, out to my living room, kitchen, etc. Sometimes it seems to trigger right away and I get the Stand progress. Other times, and I have literally tracked this, I will have to keep moving about my apartment for 4-5 minutes before the progress finally triggers. I have also noticed it seems super inconsistent when it comes to things like putting dishes away - a task which takes 5-10 minutes and has me moving around my kitchen, bending over, reaching up, etc. Sometimes that just isn't enough to trigger Stand progress.

Just now, I got up at around quarter to the hour to get ready for bed - I went to the kitchen to get some water, I stepped into the living room to look out the window, and then I went back into my bathroom where I flossed, mouth wash rinsed, and brushed my teeth. I was standing in my bathroom until about five after (about 20 minutes standing total), and then I settled into bed just now only to realize my bedtime preparations did not count for my Stand progress for the past hour. Super frustrating to me, but again, perhaps I just don't understand what exactly triggers progress.

Okay, the Exercise thing - how exactly does this work? For context: Just yesterday I had taken an outdoor walk that lasted around 40 minutes. I had the Workout app opened and running, so I know how long it was from the moment I started the workout until the moment I ended it. However, the Activity app did not process the entire workout as Exercise progress. Of the 40 minutes of walk time, my watch only tracked 24 minutes towards my Exercise ring. Why would this be? My only thought would be that, at some points, I perhaps was walking too slowly for it to register for my Exercise ring? I didn't stop anywhere on that walk for 15 minutes. I was walking the entire time. I slowed down my walk a couple of times to send some texts/find something new to listen to/otherwise piddle around on my phone, but it didn't seem that significantly slower to me.

Rhinoshield CrashGuard NX causing scratches everywhere after months of using it

    Posted: 09 Jul 2020 07:50 AM PDT

I've been using this case since purchase (Oct 2019), and never have taken the Apple Watch (S5 Aluminium) out ever since. But today I finally decided to take it out for cleaning. I'm shocked at how much scratches my Apple Watch have. This case (or any case) supposed to protect it from these kind of scratches, but it's causing one, how irony. Here are the images:

    https://imgur.com/a/Nt2pc49

Notice the second picture where the case didn't cover the speaker area, there is absolutely zero scratches. And look at how damaged is the edge of the body that connects to the screen, that's where the "rim" of the case is connected to the main case. I personally don't think this is a coating quality issue from Apple (or is it?) since I've been using Rhinoshield case for my iPhone too, and I've never see scratches. This kind of quality on iPhone Apple is expected on the Watch too. This might just be bad design and material from Rhinoshield itself.

This post is a heads up for anyone that considering purchasing this case in the future.

    Confused

    Posted: 09 Jul 2020 06:51 AM PDT

Morning everyone. I have a quick question. So I pressed the Digital Crown and the side button on my Apple Watch at the same time and it went off but it came back on. However, since then my battery has been draining quickly. Does anyone know what pressing those two at the same time does. Thank you.

I had an S4 (44mm) that worked perfectly, I updated it and the disaster began,no longer turns on and not charge the battery. warranty expired 2 months ago, Apple tells me it can't do anything , in a nutshell, I invested a lot of money in the watch and it only lasted a year and two months. Frustrated

    How to refresh nationwide app?

    Posted: 09 Jul 2020 04:00 AM PDT

Hello. So I purchased the Apple Watch three days ago. I have the nationwide app installed to check my bank balance quickly. However it's still showing my old balance from two days ago. It says 'last updated more then 24 hours ago'. I have closed the app and and reopened it but it doesn't update.

Does anyone know how I can force update the app so I can get my current balance?
