- (Help) I purchased The Dark Knight Trilogy bundle. When I played The Dark Knight there were static bars about 8:15 in for 2 min. Apple said they reposted movies to my account but same issue in same place. Has anyone else experienced this or have any ideas how to fix it? Would appreciate any advice.

At the moment I use the apple tv app on firestick to watch these, so what are the benefits of using apple tv to do so? I sometimes have problems where the firestick doesn't load up streams in fullquality and it sits at a lower quality even though other devices are capable of streaming full quality. And the only thing that changes when we switch accounts is that Apple Music is either hers on mine. That's it. Even Photos are only from my stream. If I delete an app in one profile, it's deleted in another (and I have turned off One Homescreen). Netflix is the same as it was. YouTube stays logged in as me. Podcasts are mine. Literally the only thing that separate when we switch accounts is Music. That's it. Is this some bug, or is Apple still working on separation of multiple accounts or what? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Match frame rate issue Netflix Posted: 27 Jul 2020 03:27 AM PDT Hi So I have a 4K Apple TV going into a Sony 950g and when match frame rate is on I'm getting strobing in the backlight ONLY on Netflix content which is noticible in dark areas of the screen. Now I believe as long as I have film mode set to auto on my TV I should be judder free content as the tv will fix it? Am I right in saying this or is it better to have match content on? | Posted: 26 Jul 2020 12:21 PM PDT Hi All. I recently bought a Salt TV remote and it works well with the ATV. However I cannot get it to work with my TCL 55r615. The TCL is not connect to the internet. salt is not working with the TCL via IR or HDMI/ARC through ATV I control it with the Apple TV remote so everything works through ARC/CEC with that remote. I just want the Volume to work with the TV. So does anyone have any experience, can help? Thanks in advance. Please Note: I don't care about the debate for which remote is better. | Apple TV 4K Dolby Vision on Sony X900F muted colors with Disney Plus Posted: 26 Jul 2020 08:28 AM PDT When watching movies from Disney Plus on Apple TV 4K via Sony X900F, they all switch to Dolby Vision and then colors are very muted. I just watched Toy Story 3 recorded via Channels DVR and compared to Disney Plus and dramatic difference to how bad Disney Plus looks in Dolby Vision. If I watch something on Netflix that is Dolby Vision it doesn't do this... looks great. Setting in ATV4K is 4K SDR with Match Content enabled for Dynamic Range and Frame Rate. Latest firmware on Sony and ATV4K. Ran the test HDMI on ATV4K and said all good. If I turn off matching dynamic range it doesn't switch to Dolby Vision so Disney Plus looks ok, but I lose the benefit in Netflix. Any ideas? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Anyone having issues with prime video? Posted: 26 Jul 2020 11:58 AM PDT Apple tv 4K latest non-beta firmware, apps up to date. Prime video is skipping the last couple of minutes of a show and going straight into the next one, and on one (so far) episode of a show, it goes to black, video and audio both stop. Apple tv itself is fine, can get back to main screen, but need to force quite the prime video app. I'm putting it down to a glitch in the app, which will hopefully be fixed in the next app update. I mean network settings says it's connected but can not pull up anything from any app. Have tried restarting, unplugging, etc...anything else I can try or is this thing shot? | 2-month old 4K remote shit the bed Posted: 26 Jul 2020 04:27 PM PDT This is the second time in as many months where I checked the remote's battery level when it became increasingly lethargic and unresponsive. Both times it was between 81-84%, and in both instances the ATV updates were current. It was a new wrinkle for Apple too. Was assured that a replacement will be sent within the week. I'm on my third Mac laptop upgrade, second for Airport Extreme, and third iPhone. Never were there as many issues in all of them as with this one particular purchase. | Apple TV 4th Gen has constant blinking light Posted: 26 Jul 2020 08:39 AM PDT Visited Family and my dad just randomly gave me a 4th Gen Apple TV, Model # is A1842, its the ONE model that doesn't have any port to connect it to a PC. Anyway, I get home and get it plugged in and my projector says "No signal" then I notice the little light on the front is just blinking white and I am not really sure what to do here.
