    iPhone claims it is refurbished but i bought it new. Which is correct?

    So apparently there's a feature in ios that tells you whether your device is refurbished or new. I checked my phone I just got yesterday from my carrier and it said that my iPhone was a refurbished phone. I saw the guy at the store open it (the box was sealed) and the iPhone had a film protector (suggesting it was new) but the info says otherwise. Why does it say it was refurbished when it was sealed in the box?

    Cannot control TV volume via Apple TV app on phone, but can via the Siri Remote?

    This seems to have coincided with me upgrading to an 11 Pro but I'm not 100% sure, if may also have been iOS 13. The volume buttons on my iPhone always used to be able to control the volume of my Apple TV connected TV when in the Apple TV Remote app, but suddenly refuse to

    The Siri Remote still works fine, and CEC is enabled. However "Volume Control" is Auto via IR and the Apple TV is mounted on the back of the TV so I don't know if maybe the Siri Remote uses CEC and the app tries to use whatever that is configured to instead?

    IOS 3.5 I'm Pretty Sure? It says I need to install the IOS 3.6 update so I'm assuming the IOS I'm in right now is 3.5. By briefly wet I mean imagine someone sticking it under a running sink for about five seconds. There's also a horizontal small crack that glows purple on the top right of the screen.

    Whenever the phone shuts off it's sudden and vicious and shows the apple logo continuously. Then it shows a line. Then sometimes the Apple logo I think it's in a vicious cycle of trying to turn itself on. Sometimes it doesn't renew the cycle and it just stays off though.

    Sticking the phone into rice seems to revive it for a short time but then it dies again. This is the longest the phone has survived its been about seven minutes not sure when it'll shut off again. What's going on?

    Left AirPod doesnt work on Mac, but both left and right work on iPad. Right also works on Mac. Fully Charged, brand new AirPods.

    Someone pls help. My AirPods work on my iPad, but my left AirPod is completely silent when on Mac. Right side still has sound on Mac. Definitely AirPods aren't broken since I just got them 2 days ago, and it works on my iPad. also, both AirPods and case are charged.

    Hardware Acceleration causes Fullscreen Video Playback Corruption

    Hello, I recently purchased a 2020 13" MacBook Pro with the 10th Gen Intel Processors. The other day I hooked up the machine to my S.O.s TV and noticed that when playing back a video in fullscreen I experienced color corruption Like this. I discovered that playing back video in windowed mode did not cause this issue and that this issue also didn't occur in VLC (which does not utilize hardware acceleration) or Chrome with Hardware Acceleration disabled.

    I tested this on 2 TVs and a monitor with a AV Multi-port Adapter and a USB-C Dock.

    Can you require a phone unlock to answer calls?

    How do I edit a music file?

    This is going to be very difficult to explain. Okay say I have a song on a usb flash drive and I decided to move that song on my MacBook Pro. So I move the song over and play it so it pops up in Apple Music. When it plays in Apple Music I edit the song info because it is not a purchased track, so I type the artist name and add album artwork. The changes I made to the file in Apple Music do not change the file that I moved onto my MacBook Pro desktop location. In order for me to have those changes I have to drag the file out of Apple Music so it's location is also on the desktop, the changes are visible on the file I just dragged out. Now I have two files and which everyone I click play the song still, I then have to delete the original file and keep the new audio that was edited. A file should not have two file locations and no it's not a "duplicate". I just want the changes to be made to the original files, it's driving me nuts. Does anyone knows why Apple Music does not change the file? I never had this problem in iTunes on my Windows pc.

    i recently lost my airpods and i need help figuring out some things

    so, i've recently lost my airpods and i used the find my iphone thing to track them. however, i know for a fact that this is very inaccurate, as i lost my airpods before about a year ago and the tracking led to a random house in my town. turns out, it was just in my drawer in my room the whole time.

    anyways, i tracked them down and they were last seen a couple days ago at 1:41 pm, again at a random address. i did everything i could and played the sound. i was thinking of going to the address just to ask and explain to them how it led to their house. now that the airpods are dead and they no longer show on my find my iphone app, has someone actually stolen them or is it not showing just because they are dead?

    Help me! I spilled water straight into the back of my MacBook Pro... help..

    Hey guys I spilled water straight down the fan hole of my MacBook Pro it turns on fine but I have to plug it in first on startup and hold option to pick Macintosh HD disk then it boots up fine but if I open the Mac and close then open it quickly it just shuts down then I have to repeat the process it's been about a year since and the problem happens again I've just put it a box of rice and leaving it in there for 3 days think I can still fix it? Thanks..

    While i was gone my friend messed with my iPad password and got it disabled and it says connect to itunes. I looked it up and it said to use a computer with iTunes but i dont own a computer with iTunes. Is there any other way for me to unlock it?

    Cannot use copy/paste between devices handoff feature between MacBook Pro and iPad

    Simple as the title, I can't use the copy/paste between devices. I have Bluetooth and with turned on, on both devices and handoff's is enabled between both of them as well.

    reseting iPhone to factory settings

    Im using an iPhone 11 on iOS 14 that I try to downgrade to iOS 13. I have a backup on my computer from iOS 13.6 (right before I went to 14) and I already tried multiples times doing iPhone update using this backup but it didn't worked . I have also tried using ipsw.me but it don't work too . Is reseting my iPhone to factory settings and then doing backup from iOS 13.6 safe ? Will I Lose anything ? When I tried using this backup first time to restore my phone with it it's when the problem started, is it possible that this back up is corrupted or unusable ? My phone is currently doing black screen few seconds- apple logo few seconds- black screen on repeat and I already tried multiples times DFU

    AppleCare + question. Claim denied

    So my iPhone 8+ got very badly damaged out a multiple story window( possibly ran over) accidentally. I have AppleCare + and this would be my second replacement . I told the rep the extent of the damage and she said yeah send it in, pay 99$ get a new phone . So I did , got the new phone , and weeks later received my broken phone back via fedex. Nothing in the box stating why, no email either . They charged 500$ additional to my card for the phone cost .

    I called support and after an hour they stated that the repair facility has the right to qualify my phone as " obliterated" and beyond repair , therefor it voids AppleCare+. I read through the contract and don't really see anything like this . Can anyone point out where in the contract it says this and any advice on how I should proceed ?

    iPhone 11 Pro Max - No service

    On Monday, my cell service just quit working. I went to my service provider for answers and they inserted a test SIM card and it persisted and couldn't find the signal. I have reset the network settings, I have updated my phone, I have backed up and restored. Apple wants me to send it in for repairs but I can't afford to be with out a phone for that long (WiFi still works). The phone is in pristine condition, no big drops, no scratches, no dents. No clue why is this happening, if you have any help or an idea as to why I'm in this situation, please let me know!

    —Update— I have been put onto a lead that heat damage could potentially damage the SIM card system(?).

    Broken Macbook Air

    I was wondering if anyone had any advice regarding my Macbook Air (11 inch, early 2015 model)

    I dropped it about 3 feet onto its side and there is hardly any physical damage. However, the screen was completely white for a little bit and then has been black despite all attempts to turn it on, even though it still makes the startup noise.

    I know this is probably a longshot, but if anyone has any troubleshooting info it would be greatly appreciated. I already scheduled an appt at the genius bar, but it is likely beyond saving at this point.

    Can’t sign out of the iCloud account on my iPhone. Account is no longer valid.

    A long time ago when my family first got iPhones, we shared the same Apple ID using my dad's email address which no longer exists. Since then we've all moved on and got our own Apple IDs (including my dad who now uses a new email address for a new Apple ID). For the longest time I have had the old Apple ID with the non-existent email as the account for iCloud on my phone. Whenever I try to sign out of the account, I am asked to disable Find My iPhone by entering the accounts password. It's been so long that no one knows the password. And when I try the option of "Forgot My Password", I get an error message saying that the Apple ID is no longer valid. How tf do I get this iCloud account off of my phone?! I can't even restore my iPhone to factory settings because of this issue. Could someone at an Apple Store bypass this and factory reset it there? Please help.

    Help with apple iPhone SE voice commands in car

    Okay so I got a new iPhone SE about 3 weeks ago. For some reason when I say "hey Siri, search YouTube for (insert song/artist)" a car symbol appears and Siri repeats over the car's audio "Sorry I cannot help you with that while you are in the car (or she says while you are driving
    )"... This is new to me, any way to make this go away so I can use this function?

    WiFi problem when opening YT

    So this happens a lot Every time I open YT it disconnects me from my WiFi and connects me to my LTE this happens when I leave too. What's happening here? Only when opening yt or leaving the app. It does take time before disconnecting me. It dosent disconnect me it just says I'm still connected but in the top it doesn't show that I'm using my WiFi. Help pls
