| Problems detaching disabled App Store account from iPhone? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 11:55 PM PDT Hey guys I hope someone here can help me out. Long story short my iTunes/App Store account that I've used since 2008 has been disabled. I never got a reason why but I'm sure I know. I had to contact my credit card company because I got billed twice for the same item on a video game app and I didn't have time to wait for Apple to take their two weeks to sort it to refund me. So it sucks my account is disabled but whatever. I then took it off my iPhone and removed it from my cloud etc. I made a brand new iTunes/App Store account but when I went to install something I got the same message about my account being disabled. So that tells me that somehow something else is sticking around to identify me and stop me from making a new account. I'm sure there's a way around this and I'm hoping you guys can help. I can't figure out what's stopping me from using a new account unless it's my phone number? If worse comes to worse I'll call Apple up and try to get them to restore my account and enable it but that's such a pain. They no longer have email that I can tell and I despise talking on the phone to these people. Thanks in advance either way guys. [link] [comments]  |

Made sure it's the right time zone. I've reset my router and then the actual settings on my phone. I've reset all settings. I've made sure my router has all the right settings and no ipv6 active. The dns is completely fine and everything. I'm not sure what to do anymore. I'm just connecting to google. I can't log in and it always brings this prompt up. All of my data was transferred, but when I go to settings it says "Update Apple ID Settings" at the top. I click on it, enter my password, and it leaves me on a screen that says "Approve your iPhone" and tells me approve my phone from a phone already logged into apple ID. | Is there a way to allow calls from phone numbers that start a certain way while on Do Not Disturb? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 04:27 PM PDT I want to be able to leave my phone in do not disturb mode during the day, while allowing calls to pass through if they come from my contacts list or from work. The iPhone already has a nice toggleable feature that specifically allows calls through from my contacts list. The problem is it is impractical for me to add all the work numbers of all employees at my company to my contacts list, but I also do not want to miss work calls. If a call is coming from work and has some phone number aaa-bbb-cccc, the "aaa-bbb" part will always be the same, and the "cccc" part (i.e. the person's extension) will vary based on who is calling. I want to know if there is some way to tell my phone to allow any calls starting with "aaa-bbb" to pass through while in do not disturb. Something like adding "aaa-bbb*" to my contacts list (but I don't think that works?). Any ideas? [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 11 Jun 2020 03:51 PM PDT I have an iPhone 7 running IOS 13.5, jailbroken. I bought it last month from a ebay-like website in my country. I hadn't had any issue with it since i bought it. But yesterday I was playing some music and the app crashed. I did an hard restart and the phone wasn't powering back on. I tried a couple of times but still didn't power on. I plugged the phone into my computer and the iTunes said that I need to restore it. I didn't want to lose all the data on it, so I started searching for a solution. I tried 3uTools and in the program it said that my phone is in DFU mode. That time I realised that the phone didn't have anything to do with a faulty battery. I tried restoring it by selecting there "retain user data" option. But it didn't work, it said that it could not enter restore mode. I tried a couple of apps like Reiboot, Dr.Fone,PhoneRescue, but still not succes. I realised I could not save the data on it, so I needed a full restore of the device. I tried using the iTunes method but it gave me the error 4014. I tried using the other apps I used before but still I cannot restore my iPhone. When I am holding the volume down and power button together for 10 seconds, my computer makes the sound that it disconnected. But then when it reconnects it still shows that its in DFU Mode. However notifications are turned on in settings and WhatsApp messages don't get delivered until I open the app. So even if a person has sent me a text at 1 am and even tho I have my phone connected to the internet, the message won't be delivered. But if I open the app at 1:30 only then the message will be marked as delivered. And this is happening across all apps. I have less than 32GB on the 7, which has 128GB storage, everything else is on iCloud. The 11 Pro is 64gb, but when I try the data transfer it says there's not enough storage. I'm at a loss of what to try. I've already deleted as much as I'm willing to from my 7 - going from 47gb to 31gb and I've no idea why it won't let me transfer over. Any advice appreciated. I never had this issue with the 2+ years of owning this phone. I had 2-3 gigs of storage free about a week ago, and now I have none. I noticed the "other" section was about 10 gigs, I cleared the safari cache and it didn't free up any space. I delete some apps and the other section only grew. It's now at 15 gigs. Other times 4:30, or 4:28. My iphone is on Wifi, plugged and charging, locked and in speaker during the night. (it worked great on ios 12.4.1 for a long time) The problem started when i updated to ios 13.5 ! i have already forced reboot and even restored clean on 13.5 (a clean install not from back up. 2 times!!!) Basically, most of the time, the volume up button will act like it is being pressed on sometimes and won't change for a while. When I turn the volume down, it will go back up. He just sent me this message. "Do you know why the wi-fi calling option on the 6s keeps switching to off? I keep switching it on and it keeps asking me to confirm the E911 address and I do and then it switches on. But once I leave that settings screen, it switches off again. I can't make calls now in the house and I can't find anything online that address this exactly." I used to have a 6S and MetroPCS, never had that problem. He has poor data signal in his house and relys on wifi when using the phone. I've not had that problem with the iPhone 8. Any help would be....helpful 🙂 [link] [comments]  |
