Pawn Shop had a cheap 4K Apple TV Posted: 10 Jun 2020 05:52 PM PDT Bought for 80$ and it comes with a 48-hour window to test. So far it works great , can't with remote , power cord , and HDMI. Factory reset and updated with no issues , anything else I should look out for concerning issues? Seems like a steal and they still had more in stock [link] [comments]
6th generation appletv wish list? Posted: 10 Jun 2020 02:39 PM PDT Mine is simple. I want to be able to watch 4k content with uhd disc quality video and audio. Whether it be through streaming or downloading to the device to watch locally. Anyone think that's a possibility? [link] [comments]
Atv4k and atmos soundbar setup help? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 03:39 AM PDT I have an older vizio tv with ARC HDMI port and also a lg sj9 soundbar. Is it possible to get atmos with this set up? Do I connect everything to the tv and then the hdmi arc from tv to soundbar? Do I need to change any audio settings on the tv or the atv4k? [link] [comments]
Apple tv 4k Not auto updating! Posted: 11 Jun 2020 01:00 AM PDT Hello everyone. I am using apple tv 4k since last 1 year but only recently I am facing a weird problem. I am new to apple eco system not sure it's a bug or it's designed this way only. Thing is, I have auto updates on, but whenever apple releases the update I am not getting any notification or it never shows/updates the system itself. It's only when from groups or something I come to know there is a new update I have to go to settings and fetch the update manually only then it pops up saying new update is available. What's the use of update automatically then? Like with this recent update also I am not getting any notification or update being installed itself but when I go to settings and fetch it manually it pops up asking to install the 13.5.6 I think whichever is the latest one. Any suggestions? P.S. This only started after 13.1 or .2 i think. Before this it was auto updating itself. [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Jun 2020 09:25 PM PDT I started getting some interruptions in the signal so I tried restarting the Apple TV but now the airpods aren't even showing up on the Apple TV audio options. They are still working good for my phone. [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Jun 2020 03:23 PM PDT hey guys, I'm really sorry if this question has come up previously, but I can't seem to find the answer with a google search. Here's my situation. I have an Apple TV and an iPad/iPhone. I have a stable internet connection but I have a limit every month, therefore I prefer to download my movies/shows to my iPad. Usually, I connect my iPad via a HDMI cable and just play like that, but recently I've noticed that AirPlays works very well with less cords. My question is if I use AirPlay to play a movie/show that is already downloaded to my iPad, will I be using the same amount of data/internet that I would be if I just streamed it? I understand that AirPlay requires a little bit of data/internet regardless, but I was just curious if it uses the same amount as if I were to just stream the show. Thanks guys! note: i know that the youtube app lets me just show whatever i've downloaded on my apple tv bc I can quickly changes spots in a video w/o lag. I was just curious if this extends to other apps like Apple TV, Disney+, etc that let me utilize AirPlay. [link] [comments]
Streaming local PC games to Apple TV - what are the options? Posted: 10 Jun 2020 04:57 AM PDT Hi What apps are available to stream PC games (from my local PC, I don't mean services like Stadia) to an Apple TV client? I've found the following:
The PC has an RTX 2060 Super so should be compatible with most solutions. [link] [comments]
I hope changing playback speeds is announced at WWDC. Posted: 10 Jun 2020 06:40 PM PDT Being able to have native support for any video to be played at 1.25x or 1.5x would be awesome. I know it's not for everyone, but having the option would be such a nice feature. [link] [comments]
What are some features in the AppleTv box that aren’t available in the app version? Posted: 10 Jun 2020 05:23 PM PDT I'm trying to decide if the app available on the Samsung tv is enough or if I should still get a box? [link] [comments]
How to watch "Better Call Saul" on AMC? Posted: 10 Jun 2020 07:16 AM PDT I'm happy to pay $4.99 for the AMC add on, but I don't appear to have that option. I'm a already a Hulu live/Netflix/Prime/HBOMax subscriber, but the AMC add-on requires either traditional TV content providers like Comcast or AT&T Direct. I have pure AT&T fiber to the basement. Any suggestions? [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Jun 2020 06:29 PM PDT I've somewhat foolishly been following the MacRumours buyers guide "DO NOT BUY" advice for over a year now. I feel like I can't go get an Apple TV 4k now , because the release of a new one seems imminent. Having said that, it has felt imminent for about 500 days! [link] [comments]
