    Movie Storage Options

    So i have a 64gb ATV, the latest model. I also have a WD My Cloud attached to my network with which I use Plex to watch movies stored on there on the ATV. I know I can't store movies locally on my ATV, but I've recently got into the world of buying reduced movie codes ( to up my 4k collection )....all that being said, my internet isn't great ( it's all via 4G / LTE as I live in rural France ) and I have a 100gb download limit per month.

    Is there anyway to store the code purchased movies locally so that I don't have to re-stream them every time I want to watch them? As now I am looking at more 4k movies, they are pretty huge in comparison to my d/l limits.

    How to get the bottom menu bar to come up?

    As opposed to the top menu bar; the bottom one has movie special features and such. All i get is the picture in picture option.

    I would also like to permanently disable picture in picture as an option, as I never use it.

    HBO | Apple TV Channels

    Did anyone who was subscribed to HBO Apple TV Channels, prior to Max launch, have their Apple HBO subscription automatically renew on their billing date?

    My billing date for HBO Apple TV Channels is June 12th. I am curious if the subscription will renew or expire.

    (I know HBO from Apple TV Channels is discontinued for new subscribers... this question is for folks subscribed to HBO Apple TV Channels prior to the Max launch last week... curious what happens on/after the subscription billing date.)

    How to un-jailbreak ATV4?

    Since Apple TV 4k does not have USB-C port and i can not connect it to iTunes to restore it and un-jailbreak.. Is there any way to un-jailbreak it?

    (I don't want to un-jailbreak unless there is a jailbroken update, so i will update and jailbreak again)

    "Computer" app not showing content tagged with 4K

    Hi all,

    I have an AppleTV 4K and use the "TV" app on MacOS to stream content to the "Computer" app on the AppleTV. I use Subler to imbed different tags and use Smart Playlists to sort content. Subler has an "HD Video" annotation which I can set to 4K, 1080P, 720P, or No. Content set to 4K will show up in the 4K category in the "TV" app in MacOS 10.15 but it doesn't show up at all in the "Computer" app on the AppleTV. If I set it to 1080P or 720P it will show up but obviously not in the 4K category.

    Does anyone know how to get the "Computer" app on the AppleTV to show content set to 4K?

    Dolby Atmos for Headphone Apple TV 4K

    Hi everybody,

    since I feel there's a lot of confusion about the subject now that Dolby Atmos has been "implemented" on ATV 4K , I'm wondering if anyone of you managed to experience Dolby Atmos with Headphones on ATV 4K, i.e. the spatial / binaural sound through traditional 2-ch headphones like with the Dolby Atmos for Headphone app in Win10 and Xbox.

    Must-have apps for canadian apple tv 4k?

    Title says it all, basically your top apps to have for apple tv in canada.

    Mainly interested in free tv, news, cartoons.

    I have subs to netflix, disneyplus, and prime. Any other streaming platforms that are good to subscribe to?

    But yeah, primarily on free news, tv, cartoons, movie, and shows (just so I can watch more)

    Just bought an Apple TV 4K but have a few minor issues.

    I have a Sony KDL-52XBR4 TV. A bit old but still works great.

    I recently bought an Apple TV 4K 64GB and have a few annoyances. Since my TV did not have enough HDMI inputs (the others are in use), I bought an iArkPower 3 Port HDMI Switch. Apple TV is on 1, my standalone DVR is on 2, and 3 has a spare HDMI cable which currently has a laptop connected.

    These are the issues:

    1. When I hold down the home button, and the popup comes from the right side of the screen (with the sleep option), part of the time in the upper right is cut off. It seems the whole thing is cut off on the right. The home screen seems fine, I see all apps with no cutoffs. And watching some movie trailers things seem ok. Also when I go through settings, the right edge is not cut off, so it just seems to be that popup. Is this normal?

    I went through all the settings, and also searched my TV for overscan settings, but found nothing. Also, since I'm sharing that port with 3 things, I really didn't want to change TV picture settings as it will affect everything connected to the switch.

    1. I set the Siri remote volume controls to control my surround sound receiver, using the learn remote. But everytime I put the apple TV to sleep, and then go back to it later, it seems to forget the buttons. The settings still show the Receiver via IR, but the buttons just don't work, and I have to teach them again.

    2. I have an old Logitech Harmony One remote, old but still great. I couldn't locate the exact apple TV model in the software (I'm using the older version) but I get something close, and most seems to work. However I could not get the home button to work or the skip ahead/skip back. Any suggestions?

    Question regarding audio issue

    I just bought a appletv for my parents and they have a 4.1 audio setup. Meaning there is no center speaker. And my audio while playing movies works for music and background noise but not for dialogue.

    So here's my question: my appletv displays 2 opts for audioformat: Stereo and 5.1 surround. How can I get this to 4.1?
