| Anyone been faced with the vertical green line on their IPhone X? Posted: 17 May 2020 05:29 PM PDT https://i.imgur.com/vPNuMPg.jpg Sad day for my iPhone when I noticed a bright green line going down the left hand side of the screen. Doesn't seem to be affecting anything else just yet. Just started today. I bough this phone on release day so of course all warranties are expired. I reached out to Apple support and they gave me some 3rd party authorized technical centers that can diagnose the problem and provide me the next action. All the Apple stores are closed at this present time and they are saying the carrier stores, like AT&T would probably just send me back to Apple. One representative stated that it may be related to this issue where there is an extended program on getting fixed even though out of warranty. https://support.apple.com/iphone-x-display-module-replacement-program I have googled and there are many hits of people getting the same issue. Some people have also mentioned it has been replaced free of charge when the Genius Bar test phone and it is clear of water or physical damage. I guess time will tell, but I don't see my luck going that smooth. Some post refer to it being a electrical hardware issue ... I dont see anything in that program linked above about green lines ... Curious if anyone has been in the same boat as me with this issue.... If I get denied .. would getting a screen replaced for about $100 fix issue on an electrical board issue or would issue follow?... my screen is not cracked. The good news is that I was going to upgrade on the next release in September but this is not like a cracked screen, which I could of delt with, this bright green light makes it horrible and hurts your eyes to read off your phone.
