Posted: 23 May 2020 09:00 PM PDT I was rinsing off my phone (not submerged) and it was working fine until 10 minutes later, I turned it on again and it flickered and went black. I have not been able to get it to turn back on, but when charged it still vibrates and makes the sound. I think the display is broken, but how can I fix this? Thanks. | Why isn’t my profile picture showing up in settings? Posted: 23 May 2020 11:58 PM PDT Usually when you open the settings app at the top you have your name and your iCloud profile picture. Now when I open settings i see my name and initials rather than my name and profile pic. I do have one set up by the way. When I click on my name it loads my profile picture though. | More widget panel search providers? Posted: 23 May 2020 01:24 PM PDT I use the search box at the top of the widget panel really often; That widget gets used more than anything else on my phone, but presents only 4 options: search web, App Store, maps, and ask Siri. I have Safari set to use DuckDuckGo as the search engine, so "search web" uses that. DuckDuckGo is great for a lot of things, but I find myself needing to drop into Google search a lot, which is an extra two steps and is annoying. Is there a way to add another item to that list, that will allow me to use an alternate search engine? Or even other cool things? Thanks! [link] [comments]  |

| ATT Prepaid IPhone 7 (Plz Help) Posted: 23 May 2020 09:22 AM PDT I wanted an extra phone to continue practicing and immersing myself in a language I'm learning. There was a sale at Walmart for $99 when agreeing to prepaid activation upon purchase at the store. Clerk said they didn't have any 7's unlocked so I said "Fuck it what if you just sold me an ATT iPhone inactivated (with intentions to unlock it then put it to simple mobile fuccyeh). He said it would be $199 and I'm honestly not sure if that's a good price for a goddamn 7 in 2020 but I have money saved to where the number really didn't make me flinch for a phone I've found myself very content with before. Here's the problem; Homie sells me the phone, I go home, and there's a fucking prepaid SIM for the first month of service in the bag. I know for sure if the phone was activated then and there it would've been $99 w a commitment to 6 months minimum service. BUT I specifically told him what I wanted to do, and payed about $212 after taxes so it doesn't seem like he locked me to that 6 month agreement and perhaps the one month SIM was the deal for someone who wanted the latter (Just buying the phone). Still, it leaves me confused as hell and I still have the phone in it's plastic wrapping. I'm afraid to request an unlock ticket because it seems like I just accidentally agreed to a prepaid plan. my gut is telling me there is a way around this, and if not, then to find out before opening the box so I can return it.
