It was jailbroken,untethered, but I had to turn it off to restart, something wasn't working. Now it just boot loops. Using windows laptop. I put it in dfu mode & started the process, I saw the progress bar going, I think it finished the first part, then another progress bar came up, but during that it starts looping to the dfu screen then back to progress bar, then near the end it's almost finished, but it fails. | Taptic Engine - iPhone 8 vs iPhone 8 Plus Posted: 05 May 2020 09:56 PM PDT Due to covid I can't go into the Apple store to test this so my question is: I recently upgraded from an iPhone 6 Plus to an iPhone 8 Plus. The Taptic Engine is different of course but I want to make sure it's functioning properly. My girlfriend has an iPhone 8 and the Taptic Engine functions a bit differently. For example: When you double click the home button with no apps in the background, her's does a strong double vibrate, my iPhone 8 Plus is a lot softer when doing this. My question is: do the 8 and 8 plus models of Taptic engines function differently? Or should they feel exactly the same. [link] [comments]  |

| Screen went black and is now unresponsive Posted: 05 May 2020 08:05 PM PDT I picked up my phone earlier today and at first the screen was like blurry with some faint pulsing lines going through it. Then the screen just went completely black. It wasn't dropped or anything like that. I've tried everything to get it to turn back on but its completely unresponsive. I thought I finally had a breakthrough because I was able to connect it to itunes by holding down power and volume down but now I have even more problems. It's not letting me just restore my phone. It's forcing me to download a 4 gigabyte update. I live in a rural area with slow internet and this task is going to take like 2 days. Any time there is a connection issue though the whole thing starts back at 0%. I read that I could resume the download, but that requires signing into itunes, but I can't sign in to itunes because it's wanting to verify with a code that is getting sent to my blacked screen phone! Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated. I'm ready to throw this thing out the window. It's an iphone 7 that I just purchased a few months ago btw. [link] [comments]  |

| Poor Bluetooth call quality on XR Posted: 05 May 2020 12:50 PM PDT Ever since I got my iPhoneXR, I have avoided taking and making calls while connected to my Bluetooth headphones because of how bad the quality is. I hear the other person as being very muffled and quite, and they hear me in the same way. I thought the problem could be just in my headphones, but they sound normal when viewing videos and such, and the sound it records is fine too, so why does the quality only get bad during calls? My iPhone X keeps disconnecting from WiFi when locked and I consequently miss a lot of important notifications. I think its disconnecting from WiFi when locked since as soon as I unlock it, I see the WiFi icon come up on the top of the screen indicating that WiFi just connected and I receive all my notifications at once. This issue is frequent but does not occur 100% of the time. I have tried resetting network settings, but that makes things work for about 20 minutes but then the issue occurs again. Notifications for apps like Whatsapp are only received when I unlock the phone. Please suggest any additional debugging options for me. [link] [comments]  |
