Posted: 06 May 2020 06:51 AM PDT Does anyone know of any apps that would be great for home building? I am going to have a custom home built and want to draw out the blueprints, and maybe make a 3d design of the interior. I have absolutely no experience with home building, so a user friendly app would be great. [link] [comments]

Making the iPad Air closer to the pro Posted: 06 May 2020 01:49 PM PDT So the Air doesn't have any dongles to give usb expansion and other cool stuff, is it possible to use a usb c dongle, connected with a type c to lightning adapter to the air more of a laptop replacement? [link] [comments]
Can I transfer files between two hard-drives connected to the same iPad Pro? Posted: 06 May 2020 07:39 AM PDT Hey everyone, Is it possible to transfer files between an SD card and an external hard-drive, without having to copy them to the iPad Pro first? Thank you! [link] [comments]
Bluetooth keyboards "wake up" delay? Posted: 06 May 2020 10:53 AM PDT Is this just a thing with all Bluetooth keyboards on iPad or is it specific to certain keyboards? I have a 7th gen iPad and a Brydge 10.2 keyboard. I have been happy with the typing experience and the build quality. It's really a great product. The one thing that bugs me about it is that it seems to go into a sleep mode after about 10 minutes. When it's in this mode and I want to type something or change the volume/screen brightness it does nothing for about 5 seconds while it wakes up and reconnects to Bluetooth. This causes the onscreen keyboard to pop up and then go away once the keyboard reconnects. This has proven to be quite annoying as I frequently find myself not touching the keyboard for at least 10 minute intervals as I watch a lot of Youtube on my iPad. I also have a Magic Trackpad 2 connected to the iPad and there are no such delays. It works instantly every time. Is this a Brydge problem? A 3rd party keyboard problem? A Bluetooth problem? I have been searching and can't find anyone complaining about this. [link] [comments]
One year later, I might actually get iPad Pro! Posted: 06 May 2020 01:05 PM PDT Last year I bought iPad Air and the keyboard from Apple for school. It was a terrible experience trying to use safari and the touch screen while having a keyboard that felt mushy. I gave up and got a iMac and have been happy since... Until the magic track keyboard was announced. I decided to connect my Magic Mouse to my iPad and immediately fell in love. I've been considering getting a MacBook Air or pro for school later this fall... just so I could have a mobile experience. Now... I might get the iPad Pro instead. Anyone migrate from laptop to iPad and never regretted it? [link] [comments]
Best note-taking app for organizing projects? Posted: 06 May 2020 07:01 AM PDT I work in sales, and currently I use my OneNote on my iPad Pro to take notes. I also use Todoist to make to dos. However, this is getting a little challenging, as OneNote is a great notebook, but it falls short when it comes to organization and tracking deals through the sales process. I would like an app that does everything: - Has a separate projects, with a main page that can show all of the different sub projects that it is linked to - Allows you to take meeting notes, either typed or handwritten - Has some kind of database that can help group and organize - Works well will iPadOS and Windows It seems that Notion is exactly what I'm looking for, but it doesn't have the ability to take handwritten notes, which is a big deal for me. Any suggestions? Thanks!! [link] [comments]
Has someone else noticed Trackpad issues after removing the iPad from the Magic Keyboard? Posted: 06 May 2020 11:16 AM PDT The title basically says it all. I have owned the Magic Keyboard for about 2 weeks and it has happened to me several times now that after I took the iPad off the keyboard the trackpad doesn't work anymore. I have to remove the iPad several times and then it works again. [link] [comments]
Graphic designers, what are your thoughts on the Magic Keyboard? Posted: 06 May 2020 10:59 AM PDT I'm a professional graphic designer who does a lot of freelance work on the side. I picked up a 2020 12.9", thinking it would be really useful for all those times I've been working on a project and wanting to add a hand drawn element to it, as well as for digital art. The more I use it, the more I like it, and the more I consider getting a Magic Keyboard and replacing my 2019 13" MBP with it. I'm actually finding I don't use the iPad as much as I thought I would. I've used Adobe Illustrator for over a decade at this point and I'm really liking Vectornator and Affinity Designer, but I haven't been able to make a complete project with them. So I'd like to know, what does the Magic Keyboard add to your workflow? Could you see yourself using it more than a laptop for your needs? [link] [comments]

Does anyone else use the Apple Pencil to scroll the web and other tasks besides drawing ? Posted: 05 May 2020 04:02 PM PDT Just purchased the 12.9 2020 and I'm finding myself using the pencil to scroll through safari and other tasks not related to drawing. Anyone else find themselves doing the same ? [link] [comments]
iPad Pro Otterbox Symmetry 360 with Apple magic keyboard? Posted: 06 May 2020 01:12 PM PDT I think I know the answer to this question, based purely on speculation after looking through some pictures of the case, but wanted to see if anyone has firsthand knowledge. Is the acrylic shell on the Otterbox Symmetry for the iPad Pro too think to use with a Magic Keyboard? My guess is yes, but curious if anyone on this sub has experience with this specific setup. iPadOS copy from share sheet erratic behavior Posted: 06 May 2020 07:37 AM PDT Hey guys, I've been noticing that when trying to copy (mostly links) using the share sheet it won't actually send it to the clipboard. I've had issues mostly with Apollo and safari, but in general, nothing is actually copying when I click the option in share sheet. If I click the URL bar in safari and manually select and copy from there, it works, but it's been really annoying not being able to simply use the share sheet as I've always done. Anyone experiencing similar issues? [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 May 2020 09:01 PM PDT I've noticed it's super hard to scrub through a video on YouTube with the new cursor support. Anyone else had this issue? [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 May 2020 09:59 AM PDT I want to be able to wake my pc with the app but the pc keeps waking randomly or instantly after sleep. I close the app from multitasking and have background app refresh off. On my pc I've followed a few guides and as far as I can see the only thing I left on in device manager was my network adapter to allow to wake the pc. I thought disabling remote desktop keyboard and mouse devices to wake would fix it but it hasn't. Anyone who uses the app have any suggestions? Thanks [link] [comments]
iPad Pro USB-C Gigabit networking Posted: 06 May 2020 09:05 AM PDT Picked up a new 2020 iPad Pro. Decided to upgrade my existing USB-C hub to one with gigabit networking as well. I bought two promising hubs, HooToo, and UNI, tested both and cannot get consistent gigabit speeds. Anyone know whats going on or how to get good speeds? I have gigabit fiber internet so SpeedTest.net shows 800/800+ most of the time. I'm using gigabit switches and routers, cat 6 cables etc. I've tried two adapters, flipped the USB-C connector, tried different cables, different ports, power adaptor, no power, 90w power etc. Most of the time I get 40/700+, once in a while I get 100-300/700+, and a few times i've got 800+/800+. This also happens on a new MacBook Air. [link] [comments]
What’s something you use your iPad that you don’t think everyone does? Posted: 05 May 2020 03:44 PM PDT One thing I envy about most people is that an iPad fits into their life in a way I don't think it does with mine. I've had numerous iPads since they came out. Mini, Air, Pro 10.5", Pro 11". But each time I find I'm feeling like it's not living it's best life with me. I find myself reaching for my iPhone. I want an iPad, but I want a reason to want an iPad beyond it just looking beautiful. How does the iPad improve your particular hobby? Do you think you use the iPad for something that not all users use it for, if so, what and why? What makes you pick up the iPad over your phone or computer? [link] [comments] |
