Posted: 25 May 2020 07:42 PM PDT I see too many hardworking dev's putting out things that have taken them days/weeks/months to make and the first response that someone says is "please add", "please fix, this sucks", etc. If you want to give constructive feedback, file a bug report (detailed one please) through proper channels. If you want to request a feature, submit a feature request through proper channels, and maybe throw in some cash for the hard work. [Discussion] USB-C to Lightning Compatibility Posted: 25 May 2020 10:55 AM PDT If you're having problems trying to get into DFU mode (and you're using an OEM Apple USB-C to Lightning cable), I've come across an interesting discovery today. After PMing several users who were successful with their OEM cables, it actually seems to come down to cable model. As it turns out, there are now two models of Apple's OEM cable; it was silently updated with the release of the iPhone 11. A1703 seems to not work with DFU mode and therefore fails at checkra1n as well. Can I ask that you please do your research before Jailbreaking, installing a tweak or amending tweak settings! This will help keep developers to find real issues and bugs in their tweaks to update them efficiently. It also helps reduce the amount of posts where the issue you may be facing has already been solved. A few tips on how to manage this would be... Using reddit's search function - you can search for the errors you may have and see if there's already a fix out there Troubleshoot your tweaks using apps like 'cr4shed' or 'iCleaner' - it will help you find tweaks that may be causing issues and help you resolve that. Google your problem and follow guides that may be online - this might help you solve or fix your issue with a guide. If there is a bug in a tweak report it to the developer- this will help them be able to find the bug and fix it Only install tweaks that have been confirmed to work on your device or iOS version - this is where the search function in reddit helps massively Don't mess around with something if you're unsure - try and follow a guide or don't do it at all unless you would be able to fix it By doing this it reduces the amount of traffic on here so if there are major issues or bugs that need addressing we can all work as a community to resolve them. submitted by /u/Fxck_someone [link] [comments]
