- This same safari extension keeps on being added to my Mac (macOS 10.14.6) without any notice. It also comes up as an app. It has taken names like “ManageMaster 1.0” and “OperationPage 1.0”. Can someone help me track this down to the source? Malwarebites scans turn up clean.
- Mid-2014 15” MacBook Pro has been making this low-lying noise for a while. Should I be concerned? It’s been idling really hot lately and running the fan while just watching YT videos. Do I need to take it into a shop?

The 2010 15" and 17" have GPU kernel panics, the 2011 MacBook Pro 15" and 17" along with the 2011 iMacs and the 2011 Mac mini with AMD GPU all have a 100% failure rate. And the 2012/2013 15" retina has issues with its NVIDIA 650M. Why is this is a continued issue with Apple and the graphics cards they use? [link] [comments]  |

| iPhone recognizes being plugged in but will not charge above 3 percent Posted: 20 May 2020 06:53 PM PDT I have an iPhone 7, very recently dropped it, but I have a case and the screen wasn't damaged so I didn't worry about it. After the drop, my phone was at low battery, then it just restarted without prompt. Once it restarted, it was at 3% battery. I can use it for a while, but even plugged in it will restart. It doesn't fall to 2 or 1%, it just restarts. The iPhone will recognize that it's plugged into the charger, but it will not charge above 3%. I've already tried factory resetting it and now I can even set it back up because once I start using it for a couple minutes, it restarts. What options do I have? I looked up a video on how to fix the charging port and it looks near impossible with how much you have to disassemble the iPhone. [link] [comments]  |
| Don’t know what to do anymore. Posted: 20 May 2020 12:56 PM PDT In august 2019 I bought an open box MacBook Pro from Best Buy. I set it up as normal and signed in using my iCloud. It's been working great until a month ago out of no where the MacBook went into lost mode under a different account that we don't know of. The Mac is not under my devices even though on my iCloud I can see I'm signed into it which leads me to believe Best Buy didn't do a correct reset and findmyMac account is still linked to the previous owner. I've been working with Apple support for a month and they gave up and told me there's nothing they can do. Best Buy told me there's nothing they can do and only Apple can help. I have proof or purchase, the original receipt from Best Buy, and the original box it came in. Is there any help I can get with this issue? | Macbook Pro mid-2017 display problem Posted: 20 May 2020 10:33 PM PDT So, this happened to me a month ago. I was doing my usual schtick on my Mac when out of nowhere, in a flash, what I can only describe as a long, vertical black line, almost like a long pixel streched appeared. And then it was gone. What I soon found out was that for example, everytime I watched a video, everything was fine until I paused it and that line either came back more aggresively throught all the screen blinking away or a big white rectangular pixel would flash by in a second, again throught all the screen and so on and so forth until I unpaused the video. Now, if it's the screen itself, then I'm screwed cause this would be the third screen I replaced in this machine. I was wondering if it could be the LCD flex cable? Or do I have to shell out 400 bucks for another screen? P.S: can't wait to buy the new 2020 one, I swear to God. I have a feeling it's a "plexgate" situation. | MacBook Pro Mid-2012 no screen after optical drive removal Posted: 20 May 2020 10:32 PM PDT Hi all, Earlier today I removed the optical drive from my mid 2012 MacBook Pro. When I went to reboot the device, I had a black screen. I did hear a startup chime and the keyboard lightning turns on, but it seems like there's no power to the screen. The reason I believe this as well is because the Apple logo on the back is not lit up. When I connect an external monitor, everything shows up like that's the primary screen, and there's no mention of the built in LCD on the system preferences section. Everything else also seems to work fine. I've reset the PRAM/NVRAM, as well as the SMC and nothing has done the job. What could I have dislodged inside to cause this? [link] [comments]  |

| iPhone brightness changing (auto-bright off) Posted: 20 May 2020 05:37 PM PDT I have an iPhone XR, almost 2 years old. I noticed my screen randomly getting dimmer. I checked and in my settings the auto-brightness is turned off and the brightness slider is all the way to the right. Typing this, the brightness flicked (not sure that's the right word - it wasn't gradual, it just changed) back to normal. I'm wondering if this happened because of the website I was on? | Posted: 20 May 2020 08:46 PM PDT I heard that 6.2.5 released. I couldn't find the update in the software update on my Watch app nor on my Watch. I have the gen 1. I also notice that the battery seems to be around 50-55% and often stays there and would drop 1% as well. It would also randomly reboot when charging. What's going on? I haven't used it in months since my classes went online. Why is my watch acting like this? I'm also having trouble downloading the new iOS on my iPhone despite being able to do so on my iPad. I am hoping you guys might have some insight into issues I am having with my Macbook. For about 3 years now (I know) my Macbook crashes randomly. This happens regardless of what programs are running. I have tried complete reboots, resetting pram, reinstalling the OS, pretty much everything. The strange thing is, the laptop crashes a LOT less frequently when I have a Youtube video playing in the background. I have no idea why this is relieving the issue in anyway, but I kid you not, if I play a long ass Youtube video it will only crash once every two hours or so while if I do not, it will crash every 5 minutes. Do you guys have any ideas what the issue is, and why playing a video might affect it? I am running 10.14.6 Mojave atm but this has happened with past versions of Apple OS as well.
