| Cancelling a Text Sent, But No "Not Delivered" Prompt. Posted: 24 Apr 2020 05:43 PM PDT I sent a text this afternoon to another person that's an iPhone user, my boss. When I realized what I had done, I immediately turned the phone off. At this point the message had not sent as the blue bar did not reach the other side of the screen. I turned the phone back on and immediately turned on airplane mode. This was at 4:15pm. Phone is still on airplane mode, but I still haven't received the "Not Delivered" prompt which I was told should pop up as a confirmation the message did not go through. Like if I zoom in on something it will shake even though I'm completely stable, or it will just act as if I tapped something when I didn't? Do I need to get them fixed? Do I need new ones? Or is there a way to fix it manually? | Can't recover Apple ID password Posted: 24 Apr 2020 10:08 PM PDT Not sure if this breaks the rules but anyway. Recently I was given two iPhone 7s by my grandparents, both signed in to the same Apple ID. The problem is that they cannot remember the password for the actual Apple ID. I found out a way of resetting the password of the email attached to the Apple ID however it is a shitty email that was given to them by a New Zealand internet provider and I'm pretty sure the service is dead as it will not let me change the password and doesn't even recognise the email when I attempt to log in to the provider's website. I know the phone number linked to the Apple ID account, however, have no way of accessing it as they don't have the sim card for it anymore. I'm afraid to iTunes reset the devices as they could then be activation locked and I would have no way to get them working again. My next step would be to try to find a device of theirs with said email signed in on it but I doubt they will as they've just recently upgraded almost all of their devices. This is my first time attempting something like this, could I use the phones without having to change the Apple ID and what features would I miss out on if I did so? [link] [comments]  |

| Nothing sends/goes through until I restart app/connection Posted: 24 Apr 2020 05:57 PM PDT Basically, whether I'm sending a message or trying to view a page, I'm constantly having to restart the app for it to work or disconnect and reconnect from the network. For example, if I'm trying to send a snapchat it wont send (It'll stick on sending$ until I close the app, open it, and retry (and then it sends instantly). Or if I'm on safari, for example, a page will stick on loading until I CANCEL it loading (with the X at the top) and then reload. I've tried soft resetting and resetting network settings. This is so frustrating, any help would be appreciated :) [link] [comments]  |

| iPhone 6S headphone jack problems Posted: 24 Apr 2020 01:12 PM PDT Today when I plugged an auxiliary cable into the headphone jack, the audio coming from the iPhone was terribly distorted and crackily. I used a different device with the same aux cord to make sure it was not just a problem with the cable or stereo system, and that device worked perfectly fine. | iPhone SE storage completely borked? Posted: 24 Apr 2020 03:30 PM PDT A friend has an iPhone SE (I think - the old one with the small screen), and for months it has said the storage space is full. "Other" read as having a huge portion of storage. She was able (after many trials) to restore it from a backup, but that changed nothing. She removed several apps that should have added up to close to a gig, and still it reports as being nearly full. But she roved data so she tried to make a backup and restore it, knowing there would be empty space, and it said it was unable to restore due to the storage being too full. We read that sometimes the phone needs to be restarted before it reports storage properly. She did that, and now the "manage storage" option has completely disappeared. Does anyone have any idea what's going on or how to fix it? She is also several updates behind because for a while it has told her the phone is too full. Months previous, she tried to update it via iTunes and it ended up making the phone go into recovery mode. The storage issue has been an issue for a long time. Any help would be appreciated. | Iphone wifi drops during video calls (facetime, Whatsapp etc) Posted: 24 Apr 2020 05:34 AM PDT Hi everyone, I have an iphone 11 pro max 256gb running ios 13.3.1 I bought it from china as it comes with actual dual sim but I live in Europe. During facetime and Whatsapp video calls and only when i am on my home network (50mbps connection) my phone shows "poor connection" on facetime. When i am on Whatsapp video call it automatically changes from wifi connection to 4g due to poor connection. I also have a laptop, and an imac and have not seen any similar issues. Ever since I set it up i keep on getting notifications of new emails from a long time ago that I have already seen. I woke up this mornign and I now have 4,508 new emails. It switched off and when I booted it again, it showed the "low battery screen". I loaded it, and it worked but then it switched off again and it didn't start. | Snapchat left imprint(?) on my screen Posted: 24 Apr 2020 01:20 AM PDT On apps I use dark mode on like discord and reddit I can see a faint outline of my keyboard and the top bar of Snapchat that has names and the options to call/FaceTime etc. Dunno what caused this but it's recent and it didn't go away on a restart.
