Another Calendar Virus post but this one I can't find a solution for Posted: 25 Apr 2020 08:44 PM PDT So I got these events on my calendar. Everywhere people are saying it's a virus, or just remove all future events, or report as junk, or delete calendar app, maybe even restart your whole phone. Yet I can't even find an option to get edit anything, that is the screen that comes up every time I view them. How do I get rid of these? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Apr 2020 09:53 PM PDT I dropped my phone with a case on. No physical damage but now it will not charge past 4% and it keeps restarting on it's own every few minutes. I am unable to back it up because the phone keeps restarting. Any ideas on how I can back up my phone? [link] [comments] |
My iPhone 7 has a notification that wont go away Posted: 25 Apr 2020 09:05 PM PDT I've been using my laptop to charge my iPhone. I went to unplug it, and after I did, a notification window popped up that said, "Allow this device to access photos and videos?" I pressed allow and it didn't go away. I pressed don't allow and it didn't go away. It's right in the middle of my screen. I tried turning it off, but when it said, "slide to power off," sliding did nothing. I can't unlock it, as I can't put in the pass code. Right now I'm just waiting for it to die, but if there is a solution to this please let me know. [link] [comments] |
iPhone 11 stuck on reboot loop Posted: 25 Apr 2020 08:39 PM PDT Not my phone but my wife's, I think it's the iPhone 11. The screen is black but there's a little wheel in the middle going in a loop, I'm assuming that is the reboot loop? Tried pressing & holding down power button + volume down button simultaneously. Also tried pressing all 3 buttons (volume +/- and power button). Tried plugging in the power but no indication that it's charging at all. What else can I do? [link] [comments] |
Question about vertical IGTV videos and iMovie Posted: 25 Apr 2020 10:12 AM PDT I'm on iPhone X trying to edit an IGTV video but iMovie always cuts off some of the video and makes the video smaller. Is there any way I can simply loop a video on iPhone without any of the top, bottom, left or right of the video getting cut off? [link] [comments] |
Phone stuck in headphones volume mode Posted: 25 Apr 2020 01:22 PM PDT I was scrolling through reddit and i was trying to play a video out loud. Nothing was coming out of my speakers even at full volume. I noticed even though i had no headphones plugged in, my phone was telling me i did. I've restarted many times, and tried everything I could. (Unplugging and plugging headphones, restarting) Is there anything I'm missing? Or does anyone know what's wrong? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Apr 2020 03:30 PM PDT I restored my phone to the backup I had last week, and signed back into iMessage with my Apple ID. I was hoping that the newer texts would start downloading from the cloud, but it's been a couple days and they haven't showed up on my phone. Is there any way to get them back or are they lost for good? [link] [comments] |
Has anyone tried using a trackpad on their iPhone? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 03:09 PM PDT So iPad now has mouse and trackpad support! Now curious. Does iPhone have this support as well? [link] [comments] |
Cant restore or update iPhone x Posted: 25 Apr 2020 01:41 PM PDT So I bought an iPhone x and whenever I try to restore it via iTunes I get an error code which is 4013. The phone wont turn on unless it is plugged in and wont boot into iOS either, [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Apr 2020 09:00 AM PDT So, I'm an iPhone user of 6 years. I liked Apple's native music app when I just had a personal library, it worked fine. But when I tried using the streaming service, I thought it was an awful interface, but I do love Spotify for the same monthly fee. [link] [comments] |
Manually changed my date/time and ended up breaking iMessage notifications? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 12:20 PM PDT I have no idea what to do next. I've restarted, I've RESET settings and I even factory reset my phone and I'm still not getting any iMessage notifications. Everything else is working fine. • No contacts are muted • Notifications are turned on • Date and time is set to automatically • Notification grouping is off • All iMessage alert options are on (Banner, pop up, badges, ect) • Filter unknown contacts is off • Silent mode is off This shit is driving me insane. The messages are coming in but as if I've read them - no alerts whatsoever. The message doesn't even appear as new/unread when I open iMessage. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Apr 2020 11:37 AM PDT iPhone 7, iOS 13.4 I keep butt-dialing my boss at inappropriate times and I would like to stop looking like an idiot. My boss is usually my most recent incoming call, and several times I've accidentally dialed him back while holding my phone around the edges, putting it in a pocket, or taking it in/out of my purse. Today it happened when I wiped some dust off the screen while it was unlocked (yeah, I know). Basically anytime I'm carrying the phone without paying attention or fumbling around. Not sure if it only happens while unlocked. He is not a favorite contact, or the last outgoing call. Google had no results for a shortcut beyond the primary way to dial a past call (phone app > recents > caller). It's totally possible that I've managed to inadvertently do that sequence several times, but am I missing something? [link] [comments] |
Anyway to stop apps from refreshing every time you open them? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 11:34 AM PDT I've only found out how to stop background refreshing but not how to stop apps like Twitter from refreshing when you open them or switch tabs. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Apr 2020 11:07 AM PDT Hi there, my iPhone 8 became stuck in a boot loop after I received a notification that my storage was full and went to delete apps and photos, but the number for storage space was not going down in Settings so I shut down the phone and tried to turn it back on. I see a black screen for a few seconds, then a grey screen with the black Apple logo on it, and this continues until the iPhone runs out of battery, then it goes to a black screen again. Sometimes the black screen has a single horizontal white line on it (but in varying places each time) during the boot loop. A force reset or anything else did not fix the boot loop, so I entered recovery mode on my iPhone whilst plugged into my laptop running Windows 7 and with iTunes open on the latest version I can get, 12.10.6. I tried the update option two times, and restore three times and they all have not worked. During a restore for example, iTunes begins to show that it is "Extracting Software" as my phone is in recovery mode, but my phone exits recovery mode after the 15 minutes timeout and I hear the iPhone disconnect sound from my computer even though the USB is still plugged in. The progress bar on extracting software pauses for a bit, but then continues until the end and then I receive a popup in iTunes that says "The iPhone could not be restored. The device cannot be found." What can I do? I have tried reentering recovery mode on my iPhone as the software extraction progress bar nears the end, but that also does not work. Is there no way to prolong recovery mode, or pause the software extraction so that I can reenter recovery mode again on my iPhone? Can I lessen the time of the software extraction? Is there another way I can fix the boot loop? I have read about DFU mode, but I think it also has a timeout of 1 minute instead of 15. Is it worth it to try restoring using iTunes but in DFU mode? I am afraid it will disconnect again, or somehow get stuck in DFU mode. I have also heard that I can erase the phone remotely from iCloud, but I am not sure if this option will work as my phone is stuck in the boot loop and I don't know if it can receive the erase command through Wi-Fi or if erasing through iCloud will even lessen the time of the software extraction at all, and fix the recovery mode disconnect issue. Posted: 25 Apr 2020 10:38 AM PDT Phone: iPhone 7 running iOS13.4.1 Info: Purchased 2017 Refurbed from Sprint, USA Issue: Started about a week and a half ago. Able to connect to cellular data at home (three bars LTE) but when I go for walks with my dog my cell won't send iMessages, Text messages, or connect to internet. Haven't tried to make a call. Phone says that is connected to Sprint LTE (two bars) but I can't send anything. When I get home I have to turn my phone off and on to use cellular data again but it works as if there was no issue to begin with. Everything works fine with WiFi and Bluetooth. Tried: -Phone Soft Reset -Network Settings Reset -Removed and Reinserted SIM card Any advice? Thank you in advance! [link] [comments] |
iPhone 8 stuck on apple logo screen and won't connect to Mac Posted: 25 Apr 2020 03:41 AM PDT I got a notification this morning that phone storage was full, my phone had stopped sending/receiving iMessages and was also running very slow. I turned it off and it now won't come back on, it's been stuck on a white screen with black apple logo ever since, the screen occasionally turns black but always goes back to the apple logo screen. I've tried all of the basic reset functions and have plugged it into my Mac but nothing comes up in Finder or iTunes. I got it about 1.5 years ago, have never had any parts replaced, haven't done any updates recently, and there were no issues until this morning. Any suggestions? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Apr 2020 08:45 AM PDT I always have a notification unless I go to Gmail in the browser to also open the emails. You'll see 2 unread emails that are read already. Yet I have 2 notifications. Also, sometimes I get a notice for "new categorized email" that doesn't show up in the app. Gmail app is up to date. Phone is up to date [link] [comments] |

Posted: 25 Apr 2020 07:08 AM PDT So I bought an iphone 8 for my wife on april 15th, got it the 20th from amazon renewed by havEarly (the ratings seemed to do fine with it). She enjoyed doing everything on it. It was charging and everything and she tried charging her phone last night to end up with "accessory may not be recognized" this morning, not charging all night. Solutions I've tried: pressure holding the dismiss button while sliding the charger in and out Cleaning the ports and charger I'm trying right now keeping the phone off but keeping the charger on so itll charge while off. I was uncomfortable with this quickly inserting and ejecting the cable on the iphone a few times until maybe it would continue working. Others but im blanking cause im typing this out. It came with a generic cable and port (I can only assume its MFI certified) and we just spent some moola on an official charger that's shipping rn) I have seen that maybe hard resetting the device (tapping the volume up and down then holding the side button down?), or plugging it into the computer and iTunes repairing the device might work. I wont be able to get to the settings for any other details like that unfortunately. But would there be any more solutions I can try? I can't imagine it being damaged in any way. [link] [comments] |

IPhone 7 screen HALF responsive. Posted: 25 Apr 2020 04:49 AM PDT IPhone 7 screen is half responsive. I.E: the TOP half of the screen does not respond to touch. Lines on the screen also appeared overnight. The phone turned itself to airplane mode shortly after. Would a screen replacement resolve this issue? [link] [comments] |
iPhone message saying not sent from 5 years ago, but not on my phone to delete? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 04:20 AM PDT Every time I turn my phone on, I get a vibration saying that there is a text/imessage from "..." days ago that failed to send. The message is from February 2015, so I tried to go back in my chat history with that contact. The issue is, my phone only has imessages on it going back to October 2016. So how can I be getting a notification through about one from over a year and a half earlier? Where is it coming from etc. and how can I stop it? Far as I know there is no backup on icloud as when I log in on that, there's no messages that are saved. Thanks in advance for helping! [link] [comments] |
Photos from my iphone disappeared and now are coming back slowly Posted: 25 Apr 2020 04:10 AM PDT This morning I woke up to all of my photos in my camera roll gone. I restarted my phone a couple times and they were still gone. No photos in the recently deleted album either. After a few minutes, my photos started coming back slowly, like it's loading the pictures. What happened, and why is it doing this? Edit: iPhone 6 [link] [comments] |
