You subscribe to what you want and you can track everything you watch in one single app. Also in most cases, Apple offers a much better bitrate than the providers do on their own apps. What I really don't like about it is the fact it only offers one or two live streams for each channel. For example in HBO, it only offers HBO East and HBO West. Where are the other channels like HBO Comedy? We pay the same for the subscription like Amazon and Hulu customers do and they get all the HBO feeds. Same for Epix which was added free for 30 days. Being a YouTube TV subscriber I can see YTTV is offering 4 Epix channels while Apple TV Channels once again is only offering one. I love Apple TV Channels and I really want to keep using it but I personally might move my HBO subscription to YouTube TV next month when (if) HBO Max launches to get more content. | Posted: 09 Apr 2020 06:24 AM PDT So I have a NAS that provides a SMB share, protected by authentication. VLC keeps on forgetting my user and pass even if I press on the "save" button when logging in. Am I doing something wrong? In the past it kept the credentials for a while, now it changed its mind apparently or is just haunted. Alternatively, do you know an app (paid is ok) that allows me to play my music files (FLAC or course, hi-res) from my SMB share and that also remembers my credentials? [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 09 Apr 2020 01:07 AM PDT I love that my apple tv autoconnects to my headphones/ speakers when it's on, but I've noticed that it even connects automatically during sleep mode. This is slightly annoying for me, as I've also noticed that the ATV's Bluetooth signal is very strong in the sense that when my headphones are connected to the ATV and another device, I won't hear the audio from my other device because the Apple TV will be the primary audio source, so I'll have to either turn on my Apple TV and disconnect or unplug it before I can listen to music... Does anyone know whether it's possible to turn Bluetooth off when my ATV is in sleep mode? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 08 Apr 2020 09:30 PM PDT That's a fair question I've been wondering since the release of all those channels like CBS, HBO, EPIX, etc. I know that if I try to subscribe those channels in their respective apps I will not be able to watch them without a vpn or smartdns. I feel that I am signing into every app at least once or twice a week, sometimes more. It's getting really old! Apps like Netflix, Prime Video, etc. rarely ask me to sign in but apps like SYFY, Pop Tv, Nick Jr, etc. are always logging me out. I know this is a first world problem but I just want to be able to use apps without signing in all the time. Any ideas? [link] [comments]  |

But the left button on the remote does not work and I can not pair Remote App on my iPhone to it. Everywhere I looked it says the 4 digit passcode should appear on the TV and be entered on my phone, but for me it shown on my phone, and since the remotes left button does not work, I can not put in the code. Can not reset the TV since the nonworking remote... And I do not have any MicroUSB devices to use the cable to reset the TV with my Mac Any help? [link] [comments]  |

I am aware that it has a limitation for Bluetooth but I am hoping to connect two Beats solo pros so my wife and I can watch TV without disturbing the rest of the house. I dont want to purchase them until I am sure...I do have AirPods Pro's and they connect perfectly but I do not have a second pair to test out the double connection. Watching the same content and same picture settings, one the samsung built in youtube app it just looks considerably better than the youtube app on the ATV, any idea why?
