| Posted: 21 Apr 2020 03:05 PM PDT I have no problem paying for a major upgrade every now and then or if it's a good app a onetime lifetime payment, like Apollo ultra, but way too many apps are going the subscription route. I really don't like when a developer changes an app to subscription and locks features I payed a good amount for behind a paywall, example Fantastical 3, plus it's a high priced subscription for a calendar app. At the vary least offer it to the original customers who paid for it free for life, that's what the developer of the app Dark Room did. People are getting subscription fatigue and I feel eventually more people will turn more towards the apps from Apple,Google, and Microsoft which offer some pretty nice apps, subscription are not sustainable. Also Apple should indicate in the App Store if the app is subscription next to the title, so you can see it at a glance and not waste time if you don't like subscription apps. [link] [comments]  | ||

To be honest they all are just fine so it's hard to pick the right client. Any recommendations? | 13.4.1 deleting mail message after refresh Posted: 22 Apr 2020 08:25 AM PDT It turns out I have a process that has got into muscle memory that doesn't seem to work on 13.4.1 Open mail Pull down to refresh Swipe left to delete a message If I leave a gap between steps 2 and 3 I can get it to work but a lot of the time it catches me out and I just move the message slightly up or down. If I swipe left and it doesn't delete I can then get caught in a loop of swiping not deleting if I do it multiple times and don't pause to allow it to settle. I'm sure this didn't used to happen... | Sending message from within Contacts page issue. Posted: 22 Apr 2020 04:40 AM PDT If I am in a contact's page with their information, I can click on the 'Message' icon at the top to send them a message. However, this has not worked properly for quite some time. It will simply take me through to my messages folder. I can click the 'back to contacts' shortcut at the top left, which takes me back to the contacts page. I can then click the Message icon again and it will finally take me to write a message to that contact... Anyone else with this issue? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Apps randomly not not starting since 13.4.1 Posted: 22 Apr 2020 03:03 AM PDT Hi. I'm having a weird issue that appeared soon after I updated to iOS 13.4.1. I'm using an iPad Air 2. Sometimes when I try to launch an app, the initial screen will show ( the dark gray screen with the icon in the middle), stay there for 20 seconds and then crash (back to the launcher). It is happening randomly with some apps (Skype, Reddit, Firefox, Discord, Telegram...). I have to open it several times until it works, sometimes 5-6 times. The apps are updated, but I guess it's not the app fault but something more system-wide. Checking the logs, I see this (shortened) for every app failing to start. It seems related to a watchdog killing the app, and a quick search in the internet blames the app for not starting quick enough, but I don't think it's the case. I have an iCloud email I don't use but I want to make it my gmail so I have everything linked together. I know I can create the account, log out of iCloud - click "keep data on phone" and then log into the new account, but a few questions: (1) does the data on the phone then upload to the new iCloud account? | Posted: 22 Apr 2020 01:50 AM PDT So I decided to purchase more iCloud storage, so I could back up my photos to it. But once I delete a photo from my iPhone, it gets deleted from the iCloud too. From what I googled, this is normal behavior. In that case, what is the point of iCloud? Am I missing something obvious, or is iCloud only there to make those images available on your other Apple devices while you have them on the original device? If I connect my iPhone via a cable and share the mobile data to the computer, can I update the software of the same iPhone while the computer is using my iPhone's mobile data? I'm pretty sure the iPhone will share the data to download the iPhone software. But, will it need data connection to install it on my iPhone for verification or something?
