| No Audio Disney+ Prime & Apple Movies Posted: 21 Apr 2020 08:39 PM PDT Weird. It just started a couple of days ago. Certain apps on my ATV in my living room have no audio. Others apps like Hulu, YouTube and YouTube TV are fine. I fix it by adding my kitchen ATV as an additional output, and then it plays fine on my living room 5.1 system using my Yamaha AVR. Also, if I pause, when I try to start again, I have to go back and add the kitchen system back on again. Any tips? [link] [comments]  |
| Apple TV lags on Mac Air, not on Iphone X Posted: 22 Apr 2020 01:31 AM PDT my wifi speed is not slow, but the mirroring from Mac Air (yr 2012) lags too much, is it because the wifi card on the mac air is not good or is it graphic card problem? (i see lag on TV, but it's smooth from mac air screen). i don't have this problem when i mirror with iphone. any suggested solutions? i tried Apple's solution, reboot modem, router, apple tv, computer.. still the same. I have tried to delete the app from the home screen and from the settings menu and reboot the ATV, but still it remembers? [link] [comments]  |

For some reason my apple TV doesn't display among the airplay devices on the network even though it's connected to the network. What can I do to fix this issue? | Shows won’t load at all on my Apple TV or phone Posted: 21 Apr 2020 11:41 AM PDT I have the show downloaded on my Apple TV, but when I went to watch it today it never loaded. I tried watching it on the TV app on my iPhone, but it never loses their either. The same goes for my other shows. My Internet is doing fine and I can watch things on Netflix. | Caption style settings on YouTube app? Posted: 21 Apr 2020 12:39 PM PDT On the YouTube app, the captions are transparent, which normally wouldn't bother me. But if I watch foreign videos that already have captions encoded in the video, in another language, the transparent background isn't enough to block them out so it's pretty straining on the eyes to have to navigate reading the correct captions. | Posted: 21 Apr 2020 07:02 PM PDT So I know that it's possible for when you turn off your Apple TV it can turn your tv off at the same time. My Tv has hdmi cec but it seems to not work. Hulu, HBO, and anything else that is not ATV+ do not show up in Up Next on the TV. Will these show up on the TV and sync with Up Next on my phone if I buy a Gen 4 or newer Apple TV? Says "Can't Connect to Apple TV", but the remote app I got from the App Store works fine (Apple branded/issued). Is there a way to "fix" the native/Control Center app and/or swap in the one I got from the App Store to be accessible from the Control Center? It's so much easier accessing the remote that way. The picture looks more washed out in HDR and Dolby Vision modes than it does in the SDR mode. What could be the issue here? Does the HDMI cable have anything to do with it? | STARZPLAY on Apple TV, has anyone tried it? Posted: 21 Apr 2020 02:21 PM PDT So the STARZPLAY app (Middle East version) on LG TVs and PS4 is just horrible. Buffering constantly and the app is super laggy. However, it's smooth on the iPhone. No buffering whatsoever. So now I'm thinking, maybe the app works well on the Apple TV too, as iOS and tvOS go hand in hand. I'm now about to make a purchasing decision to get an Apple TV 4K, and I think it may be worth getting if the experience of STARZPLAY is similar to iOS. Plus, using iTunes Store and other apps.
