    Waiting on a used/refurbished macbook pro mid 2015 Retina model to arrive. With the virus going on, I'm wondering if its safe to wipe down the case/trackpad/keyboard with Clorox bleach wipes? Already have a generic screen cleaner solution spray.

    New out of the box AirPod Pro ANC issue?

    I was pretty excited with all the reviews around the ANC (active noise cancellation) for the AirPod pro and I received them today and can barely tell the diff. I've have the Bose quiet comfort before so I know they won't block out everything but this seems really weak. Some examples of what it doesn't block out: the sink running in an adjacent room, a distant airplane engine

    What I've tried: I've checked and I have a good fit I reset the buds with no noticeable change I enabled ANC in single bud via accessibility (read that might help)

    Also: My firmware is 2B588 Also I bought from Verizon so confident they're not knockoffs

    What do you think? Is this how they are designed to preform? Any setup tweaks? Just a bad pair? Please let me know.

    AirPods won’t connect to my HP laptop?

    So I've had AirPods for many months but I noticed that it works perfectly on my iPhone but it's horrible on my laptop. Every day it disconnects usually multiple times. It would be normal to have to reset it maybe once every week or two. This started a month or two ago. So I'm not sure if it's the laptops issue or the AirPods but today the left one popped a bit and it's always the left one that does this and it's happened before. And before that happened the audio went wierd on both. When I tried resetting it and connecting it to the laptop again it was ok but a bit laggy so I connected it back to my phone and it was fine. So I'm not sure what to do because Apple supported chated with me online and said they need to call me and never did. I've asked them to fix this situation before and said they can't do anything if it's not an Apple device and HP won't do anything either. What can I do here?

    i recently received an iMac from a friend that no longer needed it. I am going to use it as my main computer as i put an ssd in it and it's pretty fast. I am willing to put an intel core i7-860. on ifixit it is saying this it is compatible with my system would this work or will i have issues? I am fully capable of doing this myself btw .Specs of the iMac at the moment here:

    iMac (27-inch, Late 2009)

    Processor: 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

    Memory: 12 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

    Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 4670 256 MB

    how to remove misspelled words from mac pages dictionary (macOS mojave)

    i accidentally clicked "learn spelling" for a word which is actually incorrect while using macbook pages. i've tried to look up how to remove it from the dictionary but nothing works.

    when i go to a textedit doc and type it in, it doesn't give me the option to "unlearn spelling". similarly, when i go to ~Library/Spelling/LocalDictionary, there's actually no words in there.

    i think this is a mojave thing because i've seen comments from people who have succeeded in doing this but back with macOS X and sierra. also, i'm using version 8.2.1 of pages.

    I work a lot with computers at my home (Wi-fi managment, DNS change, etc) but my router is an AirPort Extreme (The tall one) and I have an Android phone(No worries I won't start a debate about wich is better). Is there any app or way to access my router configuration? I do not always have my computer with me, and its also impossible for me to manage my router from my private VPN. Thanks !

    12" MacBook Won't Boot, Trying to Retrieve my Files Before Factory Reset?

    I have a 2017 12" MacBook and ever since updating to Catalina it constantly shuts off and goes to this screen.. https://i.imgur.com/rKK68bA.jpg

    I tried updating the OS to the latest version of Catalina, but it won't finish updating. Now it just flashes the apple logo & loading bar for a second and turns off. These are two other error messages I get:

    When I try Command+R and re-installing the OS I get to 2 or 3 minutes remaining and it just gets stuck on that every time. I don't have a backup (I've had Apple computers dating back to the iMac G3 and literally never had an issue, so I stupidly never felt the need to backup anything). So it seems the best idea is to just factory reset the whole computer (unless you have any other advice) what's the best way for me to retrieve my files? I've read about Target Disk Mode, but I don't know what cable I'd need to do that. I have a 12" MacBook which I believe the USB C port doesn't support Thunderbolt 3? And a late-2015 27" 5K iMac which doesn't have it either.

    URGENT HELP i spilled milk on my new macbook pro

    I bought this macbook yesterday and i never used mac before. I spilled some milk on it 30 minutes ago and i paniced, try to close it, it seemed shut down for a minute and then it started making some noise with the apple logo and a loading bar (is it reseting?)the fan noise sometimes goes off but then starts again. while this is happening im using a napkin and blowing on the keys (there's some spillage of milk still) i dont know what to do :/ what is this noise?? should i try the rice trick???

    Lots of unknown apps just downloaded onto my phone

    Quite panicked right now. I have an iPhone 8, 64gb storage. I have quite a lot of photos which I need to sort through and delete (10,000) but other than that my phone runs smoothly.

    I just had my phone locked to make dinner, and when I opened my phone again, I had the message 'unable to install (random app I can't remember the name of after panic deleting) due to storage.' I close the message, only to be faced with my home screen FULL of apps I've never downloaded, some still in the process of downloading (mostly mobile games and some Chinese apps I've never seen and couldn't tell the name of.)

    I un-downloaded all of it in a panic. Things seem normal now but I'm scared that something has got into my phone? I'm not very good with tech but I'd always assumed iPhones can't get hacked.

    And no, I don't have auto download on my apps switched on.

    I'm thinking of changing my Apple ID password but I'm honestly terrified that something is watching my screen and will just hack my new password.

    Any advice?

    My little brother have an iPhone 7 which has Apple Care but he forgot the password of AppleID and his email password also, there's no way I can access to unblock AppleID but I can unlock the iPhone with the local 4 digit password, is there a way to solve this? I was thinking if it "accidentally" broke the whole iPhone so that it can't be on, would I still have the AppleID problem? Thanks!

    My phone recently completely stopped working due to the battery. The screen/ front camera are also very damaged. I have a few options, just wanted a few second opinions. I have 3 options - get it repaired by a non apple endorsed company (pretty pricey), fix it myself, which I'm not entirely sure will be successful but I know it can be done, or just replace the phone. Any ideas aside from or expanding on these? Thanks

    WD External Hard Drive Not Work in macOS Mojave

    This WD External Hard Drive appears as " Uninitialized" in Disk Utility on my Late 2012 Mac Mini. Any attempt to reformat or perform First Aid fails. Pls Help

    Alarm goes off really late

    I am on iOS 13.3.1 and am using an iPhone XS. Sometimes my alarm goes off really late, for example, my alarm is set to 6:00 AM and today it didn't go off until around 1:30-1:45. I didn't snooze it or anything because it didn't show the notification that it is snoozing and it didn't go off at 6 before I believe it would show on the screen the alarm went off and it didn't show up. At the time the alarm went off I was in a meeting and was using my phone and it acted like my phone was locked. I did change the music that plays when the alarm goes off but I don't think that would've affected it.

    Locked into old iCloud account

    I have tried numerous times to log out of my iCloud account on my iphone 8. I had originally forgotten the password to the account (which you need to log out) so I got an email to reset the password. I created a new password and went back to enter this new password to log out. It still says the password is incorrect. I try again and carefully create a new password and attempt to log out. Same thing happens. I have tried this multiple times throughout the year and I still cannot log out of my iCloud account.

    I've tried to backup my phone and reset it so I could log in to a new iCloud account from the start, but since it's backed up with the old iCloud account I can't change it. I really don't want to have to completely reset my phone and lose everything.

    Sorry if some of this doesn't make sense, I'm not very good at explaining these kinds of things.

    Is there anything I can do myself to resolve this? Will Apple be able to help me so I don't have to lose everything on my phone?

    2018 Macbook Pro 2018 13' Touch Bar display not working!

    Hello. Recently the Touch Bar on my macbook pro froze (MacOS Catalina10.15.3). I tried everything I could find on the internet to fix it including sudo pkill TouchBarServer and sudo killall "ControlStrip"; commands in the terminal. Later, I found out that apple released an update 10.15.4 . I updated my system and the touch bar worked fine for a few days until it shut down completely. Now the Touch Bar does not display anything and is unresponsive. I tried the terminal solution but it didn't work. I even re-installed macOS Catalina but the problem persists. HELP!

    Reattaching return key on 2019 macbook air

    Hi all. I was attempting to clean two sticky keys on my MacBook. I was able to remove and clean my space bar no problem, however when I attempted the same with the enter key I noticed that the plastic sheathing ripped slightly. Now I'm unable to reattach the key-- I can't even see any mechanism for it to go back on.

    Screen Record Not Recording Audio on iPad

    I'm screen recording a Zoom meeting while I'm doing other work so I can later rewatch the meeting. However, when my headphones are in the jack, the screen recording will only record the screen but no audio coming from the meeting. But, I don't want to take my headphones out because the noise disrupts me from other noise i'm doing at the time.

    Anyone know any workarounds? Thanks!

    For some reason, my iPhone backup doesn't show up in Finder on Catalina

    I just backed up my iphone in finder but now it says: "Last Backup on Mac: unknown" and when I click on manage backups it is blank. Also, when I click on restore backup, it seems to let me restore with a blank backup. Any help would be appreciated.

    Must continually redownload purchased audiobooks on iOS.

    Downloaded audiobooks purchased through the iOS Books app keep vanishing from my iPhones local storage, requiring me to download them over and over again if I wish to listen offline.

    I am using (the old) iPhone SE with software version 13.4.1 with several available GBs in iPhone Storage.

    iCloud is enabled for Books in Settings>[my name]>iCloud.

    In Settings>Books, I have disabled Background App Refresh and enabled Cellular Data. Under Book Settings, I've allowed Online Content. For Syncing, I've enabled Reading Now and iCloud Drive.

    My goal is to download the audiobook once and have it remain on my phone. Is there some setting that may be automatically removing these downloads as storage fills up?

    I don't have WiFi and have a limited data plan, so I would appreciate any help!
