My personal take on a new iPod Classic UI. Feedback welcome. Posted: 01 Apr 2020 08:42 AM PDT I wanted to design a modern-looking iPod classic. I love my Mini, and I'd love to see a "modernized" version of the device. I wanted to add Bluetooth support for headphones and speakers, and WiFi support, so you could add Apple Music and iTunes Store music without needing to use a computer, although you could totally still sync with iTunes. I wanted to keep the device modern, but still limited enough to focus on nothing but getting you listening to your music in the most enjoyable way possible. I've attempted to create a modernized interface without sacrificing the simplicity and layout of the original, although admittedly I'm not sure how well I did that. I'd love some feedback and suggestions if anyone has any! [link] [comments] | ||

WatchOS needs a "Sleep" Mode (turn screen extra dim suitable for dark room and DND/Airplane mode on) Posted: 01 Apr 2020 12:06 PM PDT I love my AW but I'm disappointed that a Series 5 "smart" watch still can't tell when I'm in bed/asleep and stop the notifications. I wear my watch to bed for sleep tracking and I've been awaken many times due to idiotic Stand or Breath notifications - if the watch can track my sleep then why does it still assume I want those notifs at 3 am? I even have the Theater Mode on and it still asks me to Stand and walk around. Now if someone is watching a movie in a Theater maybe they shouldn't continue to get Stand notifications? Just a thought... What the AW needs either auto way to detect a person's sleep and stop the notifications or a WatchOS feature that people can set a time interval for the "Sleep" mode. DND can set time interval on iphone but not on AW - a shortsight. AW also needs a "night-mode" where the screen dims very low, just enough to see the time in a dark room, but not disruptive, like those old-school illuminating watches. Theater Mode is fine but it renders the AW useless until you tap on it. [link] [comments] |
