- Help with completely black screen on my Mac display. The Mac is a 3 months old, it’s the newest spec (with the Touch Bar) and lowest memory size (can’t quite remember but it shouldn’t be important). This happened when I was gaming, playing Hearthstone (not the most intense game). Any help?

| AppleCare about to end at the end of this month(March); 15'' 2016 Posted: 01 Mar 2020 08:58 AM PST I have made a genius bar reservation to discuss some issues that I am currently having with my unit: yellow spots on edges of the screen(they seem to come and go), right speaker not working, keyboard sometimes does not work, and one of the ports (usb-c) does not work. | HELP!! Macbook air early 2015 really slow even after fresh install Posted: 01 Mar 2020 02:11 PM PST My macbook air early 2015 started slowing down about 2 weeks ago. It started with a little lag while scrolling and opening new apps. Then it started lagging all the time. I tried reinstalling macos Mojave to see if it's an os issue but that didn't solve it. I even tried installing windows through bootcamp today but it's really sluggish there. Now my mac takes about half an hour to boot up. Can someone please help!! [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 01 Mar 2020 04:04 PM PST My MacBook Air was freezing and then would restart showing a circle with a diagonal line through it. I tried a couple things that didn't change anything so I ended up just going in and erasing all the data and just trying to factory restart my Mac. Now I am unable to reinstall my macos high Sierra. I get through the install then it says Mac OS installation couldn't be completed and it shows a bunch of like text files and stuff. I am not at all a computer expert and I need help! Does anyone have any ideas or do I just need to go to the Apple store? Update: it's not just showing a flashing folder symbol with a question mark. [link] [comments]  | ||

I have an iMac that I use for "Target Display Mode" and I have 2 MacBook Pro (Personal and work provided) I'm looking for a stand that would allow me to open the lid of one Macbook at the time, while leaving the other one closed. The closest thing I found is this https://www.amazon.ca/Mosiso-Designed-Vertical-Space-Saving-Compatible/dp/B07K2SBWBR/ However this stand assume I do not want to open the lid from any of the laptops. I would need something that looks just alike but with hinges on it ... I want to be able to leverage the screen of either Macbook when I'm using it, hence I would need a "double laptop folding stand" Would anybody know if this even exist? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Old MacBook Pro and external hard drive question Posted: 01 Mar 2020 12:58 PM PST My wife has an old MacBook Pro maybe 2010 or so running Snow Leopard. She likes to edit pictures on the side and years ago I bought her an external drive to backup her work to. She hasn't don't it in quite some time and I thought I'd help her out with it. I can plug the drive in and it'll read files and images that are already backed up, but I can't backup the new stuff. It keeps asking me to login into MobileMe to utilize iDisk and that would allow me to write on the drive. Obviously that isn't an option. Does anyone have any thoughts as to how I might be able to backup her MacBook? The drive does read/write flawlessly on my Windows laptop. [link] [comments]  | ||

| USB won’t work on headset connected to Mac Air Posted: 01 Mar 2020 10:55 AM PST I have a headset with both a 3.5 mm jack and a USB, and the MacBook won't recognize it when it has the USB plugged in. However it works fine with the 3.5mm. I can't find any ways to get it to connect when it is plugged with the USB and was wondering if there's any way to get it working. Thanks. | Posted: 01 Mar 2020 05:14 AM PST I know there is 99.99% of no fixing it. But I haven't really found anybody talking about this on the whole internet. I was using 2015 Retina MB Pro for a year and I moved to 2019 MB pro 16". However, there is no latency when using a wired mouse! (which is super weird since I thought that it's maybe caused by the screen, now it seems like it's the Touchpad issue.) What are your thoughts? Have anybody experienced that? [link] [comments]  | ||
