However my mom isn't very technically proficient and can't figure out FaceTime audio. Is there anyway I can make her phone call me on FaceTime audio by default, rather than a standard phone call? Posted: 03 Feb 2020 09:45 PM PST My front camera seems to be working just fine but when i try to unlock my phone with face id the lock logo just spins in circles continuously so i just use my passcode..kind of annoying but not super inconvenient. | Posted: 03 Feb 2020 08:15 PM PST I'm really in need of some help here with my iPhone 7 Plus... When I plug it into the wall the screen comes onto the white screen with the apple boot logo, but it just keeps turning back off and on. The boot logo screen stays on for about 7 seconds before turning off each time. It won't even turn on at all unless it is plugged into a wall outlet. I already tried replacing the whole screen assembly with a brand new screen and that didn't fix it so I put the old screen back on.. I also disconnected the battery to bypass the battery and tried doing it, but it just keeps doing the exact same thing. Can anyone please help me? I was thinking it might've been an Audio IC "Loop Disease" issue, but I'm not sure if it that would be the cause of my specific issues i'm having. Thank you in advance! [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 03 Feb 2020 07:44 PM PST I've noticed some apps notifications aren't working but I can't turn them on? Recently got a new phone if that makes a difference? For example- I have Snapchat and ever since I got my new phone I don't get notifications. But when I go into my settings > notifications- Snapchat does show up- but all my other apps do. I've also gone into my Snapchat settings > notifications and it takes me to my iPhone settings for Snapchat. My only options for that screen are location, contacts, photos, Bluetooth, etc- notifications is not an option there! [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 03 Feb 2020 03:10 PM PST Phone was acting up so I decided to give it a proper shutdown since it had been a while and that usually works to solve any minor issues But now it won't boot back up. It can't get past the Apple logo screen, and it's been a couple hours so I'm starting to worry because I have a lot of data that I didn't get the chance to back up yet (I know, I'm dumb, I put it off for a little too long). It's irreplaceable. I tried all of my usual fixes, connecting to a charger and outlet and letting it charge, connecting to a computer (couldn't find the phone), trying to just shut it down by hard resetting. | Please Help! Tried to update iPhone 8 and it is now stuck in recovery mode. (error 14) Posted: 03 Feb 2020 05:58 PM PST So I was trying to update an iPhone 8 to the latest iOS version and had to free some space for the installer to actually let me update. It eventually let me but then the update was stopped about a third into the install giving me an error 14. Since then the phone is stuck in recovery mode, I tried to update again, replaced the USB cable (3 times) and even tried to delete the IPSW and download it again (also tried the previous version that is still signed). Everything I tried failed, my only backup is way to old to restore from. Is there anything else that I can try? If I end up restoring the phone will a data recovery company be able to recover my photos, files and messages? I'm just about ready to sell my soul to get everything back :( [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 03 Feb 2020 05:10 PM PST Recently, i was seeing my "other" cache deflating slowly and i was wondering why it did that as it happened out of nowhere. and then i see my photos were being restored slowly. and then it stopped as I see in my "other" storage setting all of my remaining photos went to there. Now how do i get my photos back or anyway to save them? How did this even happened? My iphone is an 8 plus and i have the current iOS 13.3.1 any idea of how how this situation happened? this happened before to my other iphone 6S but with the messages however. Posted: 03 Feb 2020 04:55 PM PST Sorry if this has been answered in here before, but my 8 months pregnant girlfriend is panicking right now! She woke up to check on our 2 year old last night in the middle of the night and noticed her phone had updated. she went through the setup so she could make sure her alarms were set to wake her up for work, and had to put a password in to complete the setup.... she cant remember what it is and she hasn't backed up her phone in months! is there any way she can upload the pictures from her phone to our desktop without a password? it seems we will need to do a reset to get the phone to unlock, but we cant lose her pregnancy pics and the last 8 months of our 2 year old's life! she will be heartbroken! any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated!! This was after 6am and he was using Maps for gps and spotify for podcasts. Apart from suddenly starting an update, the update set his language to english and location to the US. | iPhone X Wallpaper Positioning Posted: 03 Feb 2020 06:35 AM PST I've taken a screenshot of my homescreen, e-mailed it to myself, edited it where there are squares where my apps would be (slightly bigger than the app icons themselves), but when I go to set it as the homescreen wallpaper and I remove the perspective, I can't get it just right. It seems the wallpaper moves around the screen and doesn't center itself. I mean, it should fit perfectly, since I took a screenshot of it. Resolution is 828x1792. This is the resolution of the screenshot I took of my homescreen and the template I had to work with. Any way to get this to center properly? [link] [comments]  |

Last night when going to bed (with a low battery), I plugged my phone in to charge, and I heard the satisfactory "zing" noise when your phone is charging. Then I went to bed. When I woke up 6 hrs later, my phone is all black and will not light up whatsoever. It is like the phone died and will not respond. Edit: it was not dead when I plugged it in last night.
