Posted: 01 Feb 2020 10:07 AM PST Is it worth it to purchase a mini 5 now or wait till next month for a new generation? I just returned the 7th gen 10.2 because it fatigued my eyes badly. So I wanted to buy a mini instead but heard there might be a mini pro with no bezels. [link] [comments]

[Question] A USB GPS or Android GPS hotspot on a jailbroken iPad with iOS v13 Posted: 01 Feb 2020 01:24 PM PST Is it possible to use a USB GPS on a jailbroken iPad with iOS <13 ? AFAIK, it's possible to hook up USB devices since the latest update, but maybe that doesn't matter for a jailbroken iOS and you can achieve this by 3rd party apps. An Android device hooked up via Bluetooth/wifi as GPS source is also going to be okay. If you have any information abou this, please leave a reply. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Feb 2020 01:21 PM PST Hi everyone! Currently a grad student who uses Mac and iPad almost daily. I'm trying to improve my workflow and save some time. Currently reading textbooks on my iPad, and annotating them in the OneDrive app... I'm making flashcards using the Anki program on the Mac simultaneously. Unfortunately, my realtime annotations don't get updated, so I can't screenshot my annotations to attach to the card (to give a reference context). This leads to me having to 1) annotate on my iPad 2) wait until I'm done reading to complete making my flashcards.. I think I could streamline this if I could annotate on iPad and see realtime annotations of highlights and notes on the Mac too. If I use Sidecar, would I be able to use the iPad and Apple Pencil will annotating on a "Second Screen"? [link] [comments]
My iPad 2018 has become unusable with iOS13. Posted: 01 Feb 2020 12:57 PM PST Apps constantly reload/crash. Same with Safari, without any other app in the background I can't switch between 2 tabs (one of which is just Google's homepage and the other one the old Reddit layout, so nothing too tasking) without them reloading, sometimes even 1 single tab gets reloaded while I'm scrolling. YouTube is a tragedy. I can't keep Spotify open while using other apps or it will start stuttering before being kicked out. After a while everything runs so slow and freezes to the point I have to turn the iPad off and on again. A factory reset did nothing. Before iOS13 I was perfectly happy with my iPad. I'm not a power user. I only have the preinstalled apps + Youtube, Netflix, Prime Video and Spotify, I only do some light browsing/YouTube/Spotify and the occasional movie. Even my shitty 10 years old laptop with the same amount of ram on Linux Mint manages better than this. [link] [comments]
Should I wait for the rumored iPad Pro or should I buy the current one? Posted: 01 Feb 2020 11:53 AM PST Out of all the rumors non of them really make sense for me. New Cameras - I don't use an ipad to take pictures, 5g - I plan to buy wiFi ... any reason why I should wait? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Feb 2020 08:06 AM PST So i been wondering if the $100 of applecare+ for ipad pro is worth it. For people that got apple care, was it worth getting it? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Feb 2020 04:19 AM PST About a month ago, I got my first iPad after saving up and yesterday, I got my Apple Pencil. NGL, it feels good to finally own it cuz I have always been a fan of iOS but been an Android user. Anyway, I was looking for subs that could guide me through Procreate; it looks tough to master and I need help! [link] [comments]
I used to be an android fanboy, now I love my iPad Posted: 31 Jan 2020 03:30 PM PST I bought my iPad Pro 9.7 at a pawn shop. Basically perfect condition. $280. I bought the Apple Pencil and the keyboard cover, and I've had it for about a week. I didn't think about how productive this would make me. The keyboard is far quieter than a normal laptop keyboard, making it usable in class, and the Apple Pencil makes it completely silent if need be. Not only that, it also works amazingly as a drawing tool. I thought my Chromebook Pro was the perfect balance between a laptop and a desktop. And yet, this might be an even better balance. It's thinner, lighter, yet still just as productive. I never thought I would love a piece of tech this much, but it honestly feels so smooth and borderline magical [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Feb 2020 05:40 AM PST Was wondering if there was an app out there that can scroll through your photos of your choice or automatically pull from the Photos app like the Google Nest Hub does with Google Photos. I have an old iPad laying around that I could do this with and could get rid of my Nest Hub then. Only reason I really have it is to see the old pictures of my kids pop up as they like to watch it as well. [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Jan 2020 09:07 PM PST Hello. I have just got iPad mini 5. And I don't have much idea regarding iOS apps. Is there any way to transfer files from android to iOS without the usual sent email, Send via telegram etc? And any are there lfile sharing apps that work better than share it and zapya ? Posted: 31 Jan 2020 04:14 PM PST I think that the iPad should get Taptic Engines eventually to make the user experience better. I made this concept to show where they would be positioned but currently I'm just intrigued on what others think about this idea https://www.instagram.com/p/B8ALdegFn8l/?igshid=1q81p6fo98gvz [link] [comments]
I don't like the apple pencil, looking for advice/opinions Posted: 01 Feb 2020 06:21 AM PST I have tried the pencil and I hated the feel of it in the hand. Too heavy, thick and tall. It did write nicely, but holding it was quite uncomfortable - in contrast I loved the pencil 2, but it's not compatible with my ipad. I am not an artist, I don't need to draw with the pencil, I need it for a lot of note taking. I wanted the opinion of students (or anyone who writes a lot) that tried some alternative pens.... Is pressure sensitivity that important for writing? Because in my mind, not having that might actually help make the notes more readable: I've had "issues" in the past with my digital notes being uneven in thickness and I hated it. Any pen that does the job for you? [link] [comments]
Should I buy the 2018 iPad or wait for 2020 model Posted: 01 Feb 2020 05:59 AM PST So I want to buy 2018 iPad but it have some bending issue and as roumer suggest the next gen iPads are most likely will be reveal in March 2020. Stupid question but can I plug in an iPod classic and into my iPad Pro and sync songs that I have? Posted: 01 Feb 2020 12:34 AM PST I've really wanted an iPod classic but my main computer is an iPad Pro. Can I plug an iPod classic through a dongle and import MP3's that I have? IPad Pro 10.5' or IPad 10.2' 2019? Posted: 31 Jan 2020 08:01 PM PST Hello Folks, I would like to ask for your recommendation. I would like to buy an iPad which will be mainly used for browsing, streaming and (that's the main purpose) note taking. I seems I can get a new iPad for about 420€ or a used iPad pro for roughly 500. As I understand the writing experience on the pro is more pleasant bc it doesn't have the gap between the glass and the screen. And hopefully the pro would be supported for a longer time as the iPad has a rather "old" processor. Do you thing it would pay off to go for the pro for my usecase? [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Jan 2020 09:31 PM PST Hey everyone, I just bought the iPad 7th gen 128 GB at Best Buy for $329.99 + tax. I haven't opened it yet and am wondering if it is worth it to buy the iPad Air. Currently, a college student and my use for either iPad would be to take notes in class and have the dual screen to look at lectures/powerpoints and take notes at the same time. Pretty torn on whether or not to get the higher processing chip and laminated screen or just stick with what the 7th gen iPad has. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!! [link] [comments]
