Coconutbattery shows 91% at 44 cycles Posted: 03 Feb 2020 09:57 AM PST Hello folks, as the title says I'm considering buying a used IPP 10.5 which is a bit older than a year.. Coconutbattery shows it has 44 charge cycles but the maximum capacity is 91%. Isn't that a bit low for 44 cycles? I thought it would reach around 80% after 500 cycles but it barely finished a tenth of this amount yet is down to almost 90%.. what do you think? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Feb 2020 05:24 AM PST My brother started a gutter installation business a few months ago and mentioned he would like an iPad to take mobile payments. I bought him the cellular 10.2 iPad and signed him up with Square for taking payments on the go. What are some other apps that could prove handy for this type of business? He isn't the most technologically savvy person so I am trying to have the iPad set up for him as well as possible before I take it to him. Things he mentioned he would like to do are: create a slideshow of previous installations to show customers (was going to use keynote for this), keep track of income and expenses for tax purposes, customer database, manage cash receipts, create invoices that he could save and send to clients. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Would like to spend the least amount possible since it's a new business but will invest if justified. [link] [comments]

Does a tempered glass screen protector effect the Apple Pencil? Posted: 03 Feb 2020 11:59 AM PST I want to buy a tempered class screen protector mainly to cover over a large hairline crack in the screen. The Apple Pencil sometimes catches the crack while drawing and I was thinking that if I put a glass screen protector over it then it will be smooth again! My question is: does it affect the Apple Pencil at all? Smoothness/sensitivity? I do a lot of drawing. Also would you recommend the icarez brand for tempered glass protectors? Thanks! OG Air with a broken screen - can't make my mind up if I should fix this Posted: 03 Feb 2020 06:18 AM PST Hey Reddit World, I have an OG Air that I received from work as a gift a long long time ago. After many years of great service, it got dropped and the glass on the screen is shattered (otherwise works fine). It does also has poor battery life (as expected). I have been wanting an iPad at work to take notes with (from meetings to meetings). I can't decide if I should take the trouble to fix this. A few factors...
I also have an iPad mini with a digitizer problem (it ghost clicks). Same issue here. The thing is probably too old for me to take time/money. Alternatively, any good ideas on what I might do with these old ipads? Thanks! [link] [comments]

Fintie Keyboard and Case w/ pencil holder for iPad Mini Posted: 02 Feb 2020 08:05 PM PST It seems to be the best (and only?) solution for those of us wanting a keyboard and case with a pencil holder. Any thoughts on it? [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Feb 2020 03:57 PM PST I've been in the market for an iPad Pro and would like to use it to sketch out woodworking projects. I have used SketchUp for this on my MacBook but I'm curious if anyone has any recommendations for 3D design apps. Thanks! [link] [comments]

For those using the Smart Keyboard, how do you protect your iPad? Posted: 02 Feb 2020 03:12 PM PST Hi! I recently bought an used 2018 Pro 10.5 and it came with the Smart Keyboard. Was reading this post https://www.reddit.com/r/ipad/comments/ewo07o/what_keyboard_is_everyone_using_that_uses_one/ and realized there's plenty of you using it. Just wondering, do you use any other case to protect your iPad? Maybe a more rigid one for when you are not typing on the Smart Keyboard, as it doesn't protect the back. Thank you!
