    Issue with 11 PM “forgetting” ringer volume setting

    Hi all, iPhone 11 Pro Max running 13.3.1. I have this weird issue where my phone forgets the ringer volume it is set at (almost always volume level 3 so I don't blow out my ear drums with my morning alarm). For the past few weeks or months, the phone will randomly default to full volume for ringer (noticed with alarms and lock/keyboard sounds). If I adjust the ringer volume, the UI shows that it's at the correctly set level, but will still lock at full volume regardless unless I power cycle the device or wait a few hours. I have my ringer set to adjust with the volume buttons. Any ideas are appreciated, thanks!

    MacMini Kiosk Mode? version 10.14.6

    Hi all,

    I have a macmini running 10.14.6 and I am wanting to setup a kiosk mode on it.

    In short when it boots up I want it to auto login and open google chrome to a page.

    This is just for a display screen so it does not need to be "locked down"

    I just want it to load the same page when it boots up.

    got a brand new Macbook Pro yesterday and today I needed to do a software update, nothing out of the ordinary. After the update had completed it asked me to sign back into iCloud and then I had to basically had to set up the whole computer including location services, siri, touch id etc. Once I had finished that I found that all the applications, documents and photos were still there but all the system and application settings were reset and I was signed out of all websites on chrome. What could have caused this? And next time I update is it likely to occur again?

    iPad. Old e-mail. Find my iPhone.

    I don't even know how well I can explain this, because I don't fully understand it. Basically, my wife has an old iPad from years ago. There was some issue with her Apple ID account and she had to reset it or something with a new e-mail. Since Find My iPhone was on, the iPad wants her to re-sign into her account on it, yet it is with the old e-mail that she no longer has access to since it was a very old student e-mail. So now the iPad is in this perpetual state of constantly wanting you to sign in but unable to. And to reset it, you have to sign in to your account.. which we can't do. Is there anyway to fix this or factory reset?

    New to Mac, coming from Windows. Why doesn't pressing the red X in the corner quit an application? The window closes but it still has a dot in the dock.

    Please help me understand, I guess I still need to familiarise myself with some macOS concepts. Coming from Windows, I'd expect pressing the X button in the top left corner (right corner on Windows) to quit an application. However, on macOS the window closes but it doesn't seem to entirely quit the app as there's still a dot under its icon in the dock until I right-click and Quit it there.

    How can I think about these concepts?

    Model: iPhone 8 Version: 11.4

    This problem has been plaguing me for about a month now, and began seemingly out of the blue. I've scoured google and tech forums, but no answers turned up. I turned off every option in settings that I could find that might contribute to the problem (Siri, voice over, etc.), but it still happens.

    These all seem to be problems that could be connected to my headphones (since these are all functions associated with the long button on the lower wire) but I've never had any problems with them until now, and they look perfectly fine (I take very good care of both my phone and any other tech.) They are the standard white apple wired earbuds and I only got them about two months ago...

    Is there a way I can fix the problem via my phone? Or am I just doomed to have to buy new headphones?

    I have a video of it happening as well, but videos don't seem to be a post option in this subreddit. If you think seeing it would help, I would appreciate some recommendations on where to upload it so it's the easiest to access for y'all.

    Switching iCloud data to a new iPhone but switching Apple ID.

    So, long story short I'd like to switch all of my photos, text messages, passwords, etc. to my new iPhone 11. For my current phone 8, I've been using a family friend's Apple ID. I'd like to switch back to my personal Apple ID (after I'll call apple to delete my crap from the current ID). I don't care about any purchases because I have a separate Apple ID for those. I've tried programs like iMazing and AnyTrans but they're all too expensive for me to unlock the full version. Any ideas?

    What's going on with my Fusion Drive?

    I have late 21.5 iMac with 1,12 TB fusion drive.

    I've decided in some moment to reinstall my Windows on the computer. But after I formated Windows I've discovered that free space on my disk just didn't appear! To be exact, there appeared strange "free space". However, I couldn't do anything with it (like I tried to change amount of space for Macintosh through this "free space", but disk utility just said "ok" and didn't change anything).

    After I restarted Mac in safe mode even that "free space" disappeared. Although my disk utility shows that fusion drive has only 426 GB os space and it looks something like this.

    Airport utility is just broken at this point?

    Trying to extend a network and my AirPort Extreme just has an "unexpected error" or on my MacBook Pro when I select extend a network it just takes me to setup as a new network.

    Has anyone figured out how to get around this.

    I accidentally super glued a broken headphone plug in my 6s headphone jack... is there any way to still use the internal speakers or do I need to take it in?

    So my headphones broke and the little nub got stuck inside my iPhone. I read online that you can get it out by putting a dab of super glue on a toothpick or something, but all I managed to do is permanently adhere the broken headphone plug to my headphone jack.

    Is there a way I can manually switch between audio devices or am I sol.

    As a follow up question (I don't know if this is allowed on this sub) are there any utilities I could use if I jailbroke my phone that would allow me to bypass the headphone jack?

    Recovery mode stuck in wifi selection window

    Our company gave me this macbook pro last night and I want to reset it. This is actually brand new and I accidentally put an incorrect username with this. So I followed the instruction from apple. Restart and hit Command + Option + R because Command + R is not working for me.

    It has been an hour that I am stuck at Wifi Selection Window.

    What I did so far:- Changed DNS server to 8.8.8.8 and secondary DNS to 8.8.4.4 and I also turned off my firewall for the mean time.

    Can someone help me? I don't want to screw my company's laptop.

    Does “Clear Transcripts” on MacBook iMessage delete your entire conversation across devices, or is that only what “Delete Conversation” does?

    I'm using an iPhone X 13.3.1 and a MacBook Pro retina 13" mid 2014 running 10.13.4. I have iCloud on but I'm not paying for the full service, just 5 gigs worth.

    My MacBook only has 120G of storage, and I discovered that iMessages are taking up 10G of that space. I want to delete that content off of my macbook's storage but not delete all my iMessages from my iPhone. Apple's support website is unclear about if the "Clear Transcript" function deletes across all devices or not.

    Or does anyone know another way to accomplish this?

    On a related note, I'm thankful to have found this sub, but it was desperation that drove me here. Am I the only one who thinks Apple is consistently vague and confusing about how file storage is managed both within devices and across them via iCloud? I never know what is going to be erased, deleted, or misplaced. And their support website is so vague.

    2012 MacBook Kernel Panic loop

    Hi All, I'm new to Reddit so sorry if I sound dumb.

    I have a 2012 Retina MacBook Pro, 15in 2.6 i7 8gigs Ram running MacOS Catalina That is stuck in a kernel panic loop. A few days ago, I was tracking a session on Logic X, 2 audio tracks and 2 software tracks. Logic was continuously crashing so I shut down and restarted. It went into kernel panic on startup.

    I tried resetting NVRAM, booting in safe mode, recovery, internet recovery, they all lead back to kernel panic. Internet recovery doesn't go all the way through before crashing. Safe mode just won't boot.

    Yesterday I was trying to get it to boot and for whatever reason it did. I got to see the log but most apps wouldn't open including chrome and logic.

    Log started with cpu 4

    I'm not sure what other information is necessary.

    Help with macOS apple TV Movies not showing up in my library.

    Every time I go into the apple tv app, I get this error. It doesn't show any of my movies. I tried changing the movie file library thing to see if that did anything. By searching for "movies" in finder, I found these two folders called "movies" that might be where my movies are supposed to be. One had a "movie" icon on the folder icon, the other one didn't (image).folder 1 folder 2. Surprisingly my movie collection (added in via iFlicks) was in the folder without the fancy movie icon. Changing the library either, A doesn't work, or B does nothing. Honestly, I've tried doing everything I can think of doing (yes, I restarted my mac ;) ). I'm out of options, so any help from you guys would be great and awesome.

    Hey, i dropped my phone recently and now i have this message on my screen" Iphone is disabled" Connect to Itunes,

    However i just made a random icloud since i was young, and i dont remember the icloud, and i did not make a backup either, i have a lot of important pictures that i would like to get.

    Does anyone know a program or someway to by pass this message, if anyone knows some type of method or program i greatly appreciate it and even be willing to pay pal some money if someone would help me,
