Posted: 01 Jan 2020 09:14 PM PST I have recently switched from an iPhone 6+ to an iPhone 11. I popped out the SIM from said phone. My carrier is boost mobile. It will not connect to said carrier as I cannot make calls or texts. Every so often a message pops up: "The SIM card is now locked. Please power cycle the phone, and if the problem persists, please contact customer service." Can anyone help me out with this? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Jan 2020 11:43 PM PST This may be a stupid question but im just paranoid. I accidentally clicked on screen mirroring on control center and i want to make sure my screen isn't going to pop up on my family tv or something. I dont know anything about screen mirroring and have never used it and never intend to use it. Is there a way to completely remove it from my control center? [link] [comments] |

Trying to import .vcf contact files? Posted: 01 Jan 2020 09:52 PM PST Just got a new iPhone 8 (with iOs 13.3), and I'm having a really hard time trying to import contacts (.vcf files). If I email a single vcf file to the phone, the Mail app allows me to add that as a contact, but I have a large number of contacts, and I really don't want to import them individually! I tried emailing all of the vcf files as a single zip file, and was able to open and save them on the phone, but there's no option to "import" them or do anything with them. I even went through all the steps of creating an Apple ID, installing iTunes, and setting up iCloud, thinking there must be some way to do this, but NOWHERE is there any option to import contacts! Nothing in iTunes, and there are screenshots of iCloud online that list "Contacts" as one of the things to sync, but on my install (windows 8.1) that option isn't listed. I feel like I'm losing my mind with this! Does anyone know how to get this done? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 01 Jan 2020 02:09 PM PST Firstly, Happy New Years! My iPhone 7 started having service problems a few days ago. It will have service, then randomly says searching or no service. I have Verizon. I got an error saying "CELLULAR UPDATE FAILED, your iPhone cannot make and receive calls or access cellular data until it has been updated." I didn't see an option for a cellular update so I updated iOS thinking that would solve the problem. It did, for a day or two. I now have the same problem. I've also tried taking out the sim and putting it back in, this solves it for a few hours tops and then it acts up again. Does anyone know how to fix this? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Jan 2020 12:40 PM PST I am trying to go back and find the text where my friend told me she was pregnant, but I can't go any further than a specific date... it just gives me a never ending loading sign. (Other contacts conversations go back further and some don't go back as far) and idea of why this is and how I can fix it? [link] [comments] |

IOS 13.3 Battery Drain, Auto Brightness , True Tone Bug Posted: 01 Jan 2020 07:17 AM PST After upgrade to IOS 13.3. My iPhone XS (GREY BLACK) was a totally nightmare. My battery keep on draining, even it's on standby mode. I attempt to restore via iTunes in DFU mode, without any luck. - Battery health is at 93 %, and I felt the phone is overheating after the upgrade - After restore 'Face ID is not Available' You can set up Face ID Later when iPhone cool down Even if I manage to set up the Face ID successfully, it's intermittent working. Messaged reflect on the 'Face ID will be available, when iPhone cool down' I pop into apple store on 31st December 2019, they claimed hardware is all perfectly fine. But detected error in the sensor issue. They cannot promise me by changing the battery will resolve this issue, it can be damage of the circuit board or Face ID hardware, after firmware upgrade. They also denied downgrade the firmware version. - I disabled face ID function, the battery keep on draining. - They asked me to fork out 800 bucks to get the phone a replacement change. How I wish I could revert back right now Today I attempted to use the phone for normal browsing, social and dating apps or maybe some videos. The battery can last me 5-6 hour without any problem. I can conclude by changing the battery won't work. I figure out the auto brightness unable to turn off in accessibility anymore. Will that be a possible of software bug on IOS, appreciate some urgently advice [link] [comments] |
Restored without backing up first Posted: 01 Jan 2020 01:51 AM PST So I was an idiot and accidentally restored my iPhone XR from a 4 month old back up without backing up my iPhone first. I know there's probably no way to get all my data back but I'm desperate because I've lost 4 months of photos plus texts/notes etc. I thought I had things backed up in iCloud but there's nothing from the last 4 months that I can see. I've also tried a third party program which didn't recover anything either. Any ideas would be helpful :( [link] [comments] |
