- So I figured out how to stop the glitching on my Apple 4K TV. You can change the video format to 4K SDR or 1080P HDR. Which is stupid because that’s the whole reason why I bought my 4K Apple TV. I like it at 4K HDR but hopefully a update will fix it soon. Hope this helps!

| iTunes Movies home screen preview not showing Top Movies anymore? Posted: 03 Jan 2020 10:09 PM PST Until recently iTunes movies used to show the top movies when hovering over the app in the home screen. Now instead of doing that it just shows the banner "movies" as if it was loading the top movies in. My internet connection is fine and restarting has not solved the issue. Any other fixes? I'm hoping to change the resolution to 720p so it works with the projector, but I can't see the screen, and without an official remote, I can control it with IR blaster apps, but can't do the "volume down menu" trick. | Receiver Issue with Apple 4K TV Posted: 03 Jan 2020 12:57 PM PST Hey all, So I got a Yamaha TSR-7850 A/V Receiver over the holidays to go in the house where I have 4 ceiling speakers and subwoofer. Sound is great and all. HOWEVER, when I tried to hookup my 4k Apple TV, I tried both a regular HDMI and certified 4k HDMI cable (Both about 50 ft long to run in the walls). The cable that is being from the main out port to the receiver is the 50 ft cable and I am just using a short 3 ft cable to plug the apple tv into one of the other HDMI in ports. I have searched endlessly on the web on how to fix this problem, but it seems no matter what I try as far as the cables or the settings on the receiver, the receiver will not display apple tv to my Samsung TV. I broke down and got a Chromecast which worked with little to no effort and we got a lot of google devices this past Christmas. Anything else I could try to get my Apple TV to work with my receiver? Any movie listed in the app I'd have to rent, so I'm basically paying $4.99 a month for 2 shows. Is there a place in app that I'm missing that I could actually watch free movies as well? | Posted: 03 Jan 2020 04:22 PM PST LIke many others, I received a free year of Apple TV with my new iPad, but did not want to activate, because I didn't want to give Apple my credit card, and risk being charged after the free year ends, and then having to fight to get them to cancel and get my money back.
