    The screen on my 2017 Macbook Pro sporadically flickers with horizontal lines. Help?

    I've noticed that, very sporadically, horizontal lines (often a bright pink color, sometimes other colors) flicker across the screen on my 2017 MacBook Pro (Sierra 10.12.6). It happens so randomly and so quickly that I cannot get a video or picture of it. If I recall correctly, I have only noticed it happening while watching Netflix (and possibly Youtube?). I am a broke college student and absolutely cannot afford a pricey Apple repair right now, and I'm honestly tempted to ignore it as it happens so inconsistently that it does not really bother me. However, I'm afraid to ignore it if it actually is a serious problem. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be, if it is serious, and how it could be fixed (ballpark how much it would cost if I had to get it repaired)?

    cannot activate ipad because I removed it from my devices list on icloud. Help!

    I have just tried to update my ipad Air 2 and iTunes told me there was an error and I needed to do a factory restore, so I did. A few minutes later, after it was restored, I was asked to activate it with my apple ID and password. I tried to do it but it wouldnt work. I searched online and an apple site suggested removing the device from my devices list on icloud. After doing this I restored the ipad again and it's still asking for the activation email and password. So I'm stuck.....

    Locked out of iCloud account, and won’t recognize device password to reset password

    I am so frustrated. I don't know what the hell is going on with my phone, but I changed my password and now it won't let me log in. It keeps telling me I need to unlock my account, but when I go to put in my password for my device, it prompts me for an alphanumeric code even though mine is just numbers, and then when I put in my phone code, it says it's wrong and tells me my account isn't in need of recovery. I'm in a frustrating loop and I don't know what to do. When I search "this Apple ID is not in account recovery" nothing comes up. Could I be hacked?

    Macbook Pro mid2012, brightness keys not changing brightness.

    The Hud shows that the keys are being press but the display does not change. However I am able to change the brightness on system settings.

    Camera not working, since I have it, camera sometimes work and sometimes don’t... normally it last for about 1 day and then come back on, but not this time, and I’m pissed of. So do you guys have ever experienced this issue and how to fix it? Thanks.

    Can you wipe the data and lock your Mac laptop if it is stolen? I know this can be done with the phone.

    AirPlay lags MBP to AppleTV, but not iPad to AppleTV

    Whenever I airplay video from my Macbook Pro to my Apple TV, it lags like nothing else. However, when I play video from the same site on my iPad, there are no problems. Would anyone know why this is?

    The iPad and the MBP are both on the same WiFi network, and both are in the same location (the MBP is actually closer to the AppleTV).

    2018 Macbook Pro running MacOS 10.15.2 iPad Air running 12.4.3 (not sure what year)

    I'm not sure whether I have an Apple TV 2 or 3, and I'm not sure how to check.

    Canceled cell phone plan w/ Sprint, when clicking on the option “Use Apple Id For imessage” I was prompted with this. Now it says “Waiting For Activation” everywhere. I’d been able to use iMessage for awhile now despite no cell phone plan but once I clicked on “Use AppleiD” its dead. Help please!

    I have tried double tapping the home screen and swiping up. But to no avail. Waze is frozen on my screen. I unlock my phone and it goes straight there. Cannot go home, to another app, nothing. I cannot even boot my phone off. Siri won't bear with me here either. Keeps giving me errors. Would the issue be resolved once my battery depletes? This is the strangest glitch I have come across, and handily the most annoying.

    Green flashes when watching Netflix full screen using Safari

    Hello, thanks in advance for any help!

    Recently, when I am watching Netflix full screen on Safari, there will be green flickering/flashes every few minutes. I have looked into advice on other forums, and have been told to uncheck "Automatic Graphics Switching" in Energy Saver in my System Preferences. I do not have the option to uncheck this box.

    This issue does not appear to occur when I use Chrome, however I am trying to limit my Chrome usage as when I use Chrome the internal fan goes crazy.

    I have a 2017 MacbookPro.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Is it worth it to take this and get it repaired? It’s a series 1 so it is out of warranty. It hasn’t been dropped and works just fine. I just checked the time and realized that the screen was out.

    This has really been bothering me ever since I got my first (and only) iPhone.

    I recently purchased an iPhone 11 Pro 512gb and am loving it so far, however, the screen lock sound bothers me immensely. I love having the locking sounds, I've always had them on my last ten years worth of Androids, but the fact that the volume of the lock screen varies is immensely bothersome. I have not been able to narrow down why this is, for example, time of day. It just randomly does it. My phone is, whenever locking it, on the loudest volume possible, but sometimes it will make a quiet screen lock sound, and other times it will make the correct loud one. I'm on the latest version of iOS - 13.3.

    Itunes isn't recognizing my iPhone :(

    Hello, whenever i connect my iPhone to my windows computer. Windows knows that I just plugged my phone in as it give me a popup but my iPhone doesn't show up in iTunes. I tried plugging in my friends phone into my computer and iTunes detects it, but also I tried plugging in my phone to another computer and it works like normal. So I don't really know if its my computers fault or my phone fault. Sorry if it got confusing. Someone please help me

    Siri keeps randomly turning on iPhone 6s

    My mom had been having an issue with her iPhone 6s where Siri will turn on completely by itself (can be sitting on the table... no one around it.. and poof it is on!) she has talked to Apple tech for a while and they have confirmed that all the Siri settings are off and they are not sure why it is happening either... any thoughts?

    Hello I have a broken iMac 2015 the logic board connection to 5k screen was damaged on the board. I was quoted $1000 for a new logic board but I knew it wasn't the board that had the issue it was the screen so I finally installed Mac OS and it booted but it ran really bad the kernel task was at near 90% CPU processing the reason being it was using it's recources to find the monitor. I left it alone for a few months and then I got the idea of running windows on it to see what would happen and it works perfectly no CPU or throttling issues. The reason I am wanting the dimensional drawing is that I would like to make a 3D enclosure for the iMac internals so I don't have that huge paper weight 5k display body taking up so much space behind a monitor.

    Logic Board replacement for Late 2016 13" Macbook Pro w/ touch bar

    Hey guys, I work in IT at a local computer shop. I'm replacing the logic board in a late 2016 macbook pro w/ the touch bar. The new board included a few extra parts (including the power button, which to my surprise is apparently bound to each board so it must be replaced).

    The replacement is pretty straightforward but the kit came with a few parts we don't recognize. I have a feeling I'd be fine not swapping them, but given the surprise with the power button I don't want to assume... There was no included parts list or anything.

    How to get the base name of a folder?

    So I have a folder called "Projects and Stuff", and when I try to navigate to it in terminal with cd desktop, it says

    Projects: No such file or directory.

    How do I get the name into terminal so I can navigate to it without getting errors?

    Sent MBP in for a free keyboard/battery replacement, Apple is saying motherboard has a bad USB-C port quoting over $800 to fix!

    Wondering where to go from here:

    Essentially back in October I had a "service battery" warning come up on my 2017 15" MacBook Pro which was very odd to me as it only had 220/1000 cycles used up. Since I am a college student, I wasn't able to take it in for repair until about 3 weeks ago which I did. Originally I had planned to "fake" a keyboard issue knowing that Apple would have to replace the whole top case for free (which would have a brand new battery glued on), but the lady was very nice and qualified it for a free replacement for the battery alone (it had small swelling in one corner).

    Anyways, 2 weeks later I finally get notice that my MacBook Pro has reached the apple repair center. They agree to replace my top case but mention that an "additional issue has been identified which is not covered. - this unit has inoperative USB-C ports and will require an MLB for $815" which came as a huge shock! I had never had a single issue with any USB-C port and I use them all the time with a duel monitor setup. Everything worked fine before I sent it in. I have called a few times with no response so just left a message, but any ideas on what to do from here?
