    Hey guys,

    So I'm in a weird predicament. Last Sunday I was coming from a flight from Atlanta and landed at JFK (my home airport). Unlike myself, I accidentally left my WiFi-only iPad in the back pocket of the seat in front of me. Of course I notice this as I arrive home. The first thing I did was to check the find my app. Luckily (at the time), the new iOS let's your iPad ping location from other people's devices through an encrypted connection. The app said it was at the terminal that I arrived at. So I put in a claim with Delta (the airline I was using) and hoped for the best. A few days went by and I get a message from delta that they cannot find my iPad. A little strange considering I can still see my iPad at the terminal. So I decided to go there and asked the terminal lost and found, delta baggage services, and baggage services on the departure floor, and they said that they didn't see it.

    Fast forward to yesterday, I see that iPad has moved. However it looked like it went to a UPS nearby JFK. I tried calling the UPS store but they said they were close an hour before the iPad even came.

    Now to today: I see that my iPad is at a UPS in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania! So my question is, what do I do from here? Do I wait until my iPad meets it's final destination? Or do I call the police where the UPS is where my iPad is right now. Any help would be appreciated!

    UPDATE: I contacted the UPS in PA and they said that there is no way they can find the package without a tracking number. So frustrating that you know exactly where your iPad is but there is nothing you can do about it. I will keep everyone updated once there are any new developments.

    Why no keyboard shortcuts for reddit?

    It's very annoying to have to tap the screen to submit a comment or post or add a link or copy and past or anything really. Why has reddit not added in keyboard support, lol.

    Does anyone use safari and the reddit site? Do keyboard shortcuts work there since its in safari? Is it worth it?

    My ipad (3rd gen iirc) has a static screen...but Siri still responds. Have tried plugging it in/resetting the ipad to no avail

    iPad Pro 11' dead pixel cluster?

    Hi, this is my first post.

    I noticed there is something wrong with my iPad's screen: there is this little cluster that seems like dust under the screen or dead pixels.

    It's barely noticeable during everyday use, but it appears clearly when the screen goes black during movies.

    I don't know what it could be. It would be strange that so many pixels burnt just after 6 months of normal use.

    Anyone experienced something similar?

    Looking for an Ipad/iOS App (Screen Recording, Narration)

    Hello!

    I am looking for a very specific kind of iPad/iOS app for teaching and have not been able to find one with decent reviews. Here is what I am looking for:

    • NECESSARY: The ability to screen record (for any length of time) with real-time narration
    • NECESSARY: The ability to export such screen recordings to decently sized files (.mp4) without much time/effort
    • NECESSARY: The ability to do this wirelessly, a.k.a. by not having to plug into another desktop computer
    • PREFERRED (though not necessary): The ability to screen record only certain parts of a screen
    • The app does NOT need to be free.

    ​

    • I have tried using Quicktime by plugging the iPad into a Mac, but the file sizes are huge and the export times are ridiculous.
    • I have tried the built-in iPad recorder, but the audio cuts out after a minute or so.

    Every app I have tried just seems to not be very effective. I am just so surprised that a good version of this app does not already exist. Any suggestions?

    I am thinking to get iPad 10.2 128Gb, most usage will be while I am abroad for booking/surfing online/ watch movies, and very basic tasks. I will be grateful for any thoughts.

    Honestly I don't need the power of the iPad pro. And don't need Apple Pencil The question is iPad Air 3 os iPad 7? As i read, iPad air has A12 Bionic while the iPad has A10 fusion Is iPad Air good? Because my aunt always tell me that the Air models are not so good. Does it worth to buy the newest iPad Air with smart case, with maybe an Apple Pencil but that's not necessary.

    So when I put photos on my iPad, they automatically pop up on my iPhone's camera roll But, when I save photos on my iPhone, they do not pop up on my iPad's camera roll. How do I prevent my iPad photos from saving to my phone?

    Video Player App - Cast + Speed Control (VLC/PlayerXtreme...)

    Hey guys,

    So I'm looking for a video player app that can (mainly) do three things at the same time:

    1. Control Speed
    2. Use subtitles
    3. Cast

    VLC does 1 and 3, but not 2 while casting. PlayerXtreme seems to do 3, but I'm not sure about 1 and 2. It casts, but requires payment before it'll use subtitles and doesn't seem to allow for speed control while casting. I don't want to pay if it won't allow for speed control while casting.

    I've tried a few other apps with similar luck. Any suggestions?

    Photo management off an iPad?

    So I currently have an iPhone and a PC laptop, it's a pretty okay laptop but it's getting old and I'm gonna need to replace it at some point. I don't want another PC laptop, and any Mac laptop specked up to where I want is out of my price range, so I'm looking to switch to an iPad exclusively.

    But, if I got rid of my laptop I wouldn't have any way to get pictures off of my DSLR or to store them once I had them, and that's a deal breaker. Does anyone have any photo management experience using just an iPad?

    New iPad Issue: Contact Numbers Not Synching

    Hey guys,

    I have searched all over for this but have not found a fix. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I got an iPad for Christmas. I set it up by signing into my Apple ID, which was almost seamless. The issue that I'm having is that it isn't recognizing a lot of my contacts, so when I text through iMessage on my iPad, it shows the numbers instead. I tried turning iCloud on and off, unsyncing and re-syncing, and resetting the iPad, but no luck. Does anyone know what to do here?

    EDIT: Just figured this out! I'll leave this up unless the mods remove it in case anyone else needs help. First, under Passwords and Accounts in Settings, I had to log into my Google account. Once I linked that and opened up my iMessage, it synced the contacts almost instantly. Not sure why they aren't all saved to my iCloud but there you have it!

    Is there a way to swap the volume buttons so that up -> down, and down-> up? I only ever use my iPad in landscape mode, and it's awkward having the volume buttons be the opposite of what is displayed onscreen.

    Also, on devices with no home button, what exactly is the intended method to get the app switcher to show? It feels like I can only do it by SLOWLY dragging up from the bottom of the screen and then holding it for like 3 seconds. Is there a way to make it easier/faster, accessibility option maybe?

    Use app on iPad Safari

    Is there a setting that will disable the use app popups / menu bars for certain websites such as twitter or youtube? It is extremely annoying that we are presented with full version of websites that I want to use but are constantly drawn out of them with these tricks the sites try to use to pull us into the app.

    Does apple have a method to disable that or is there a future where apple would consider this feature?
