    One of my Macbook's doesn't run 4k at 60 fps anymore.

    I have two Macbook Pros. One is 2017 15" 2.9ghz and the other is 2018 15" 2.6ghz. Both using EasyRes to configure the resolution. The 2018 runs my 4k monitor at 60fps no problem. The 2017 ran it at 4k60hz for a day and then no longer has the ability to switch it to 4k60hz and the best I can get is 4k30hz.

    Any ideas? I've tried different cables and different ports and it didn't fix it.

    Also, is it possible to create a new user on MacOS and after that delete an old one?

    Upgrading Logic Board in 2011 Macbook, worth it?

    Hey all I have a Late 2011 Macbook Pro and I'm looking to upgrade the logic board to make my computer run a bit better.

    So if I upgraded my logic board from a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 to a 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7 would this make much of a difference? It's a small 0.4 upgrade but it's either that or buy a new computer. Would there be a noticeable difference?

    Extra context:

    • I have an SSD and 16GB ram installed.
    • I use it for music production (Ableton) and game development (Unity).
    • Unity is usually slow and Ableton can become really slow with big (not insane) projects

    MBP Late 2016 w Retina A1706 - Logic Board replacement

    My MBP isn't turning on, will take it to the Apple Store to get it checked out...

    i5 8GB ram, 256 SSD is all built on. MODEL A1706

    I sense its the logic board needs to be replaced, but I've been thinking what's the odds of compatibility of getting a i7 16 GB etc...

    Has anyone done this? Will it work?

    Brand new Macbook

    Update: problem has been corrected. Mods, you can delete!

    Finally have some free time today, so I'm trying to set up my new MacBook Pro (touchbar version).

    I get a few steps into the setup steps and put in my Apple ID, my password and that's all good. It sends me a message on my phone looking for me to verify the sign in and then a six-digit verification code. But when I put in the verification code on the MacBook it tells me "an unknown error occurred."

    Is this just me having continually shitty luck with technology, or an easy fix? Thanks for your help

    Occasionally I'll open a new tab in chrome and it'll freeze for like 2-3 seconds with the beach ball icon, or youtube videos will occasionally lag for a second. Really starting to annoy me, I tried turning off automatic graphic switching and it doesn't seem to have improved, should I book a genius bar appointment?

    Sleeves for MacBook Pro 13”

    Hello there! I'm looking to get a sleeve for my first MacBook Pro 13" - to protect dust and debris from daily use. I'm not looking for any hard cases for drop protection. I know Apple has it's cool leather sleeves for MacBooks. But.. it's expensive that is $199! Is that worth it? Can you suggest some good sleeves that you came across and you loved it? Thanks again.
