    [Release] Installer 5 beta 11, introducing the newly redesigned queueing system & fixing most reported issues

    Installer 5 beta 11 has just been released with the newly designed queuing system & fixes most of the bugs reported by our users.

    What is Installer?

    Installer is one of the fastest (fastest with refreshing repositories & installing packages) and most feature rich package manager for iOS.

    It works from iOS 9 to iOS 13, on all jailbreaks available.

    • New queueing system for packages
    • Supports the newly released Installer Prefs, a standalone preference tool for Installer

    Crashes fixed

    • Fixed crash when emptying the queue due to the queueView
    • Fixed crash caused by a null description when scrapping html depiction

    Other Fixes:

    • Fixed conflicting and inconsistent constraints
    • Fixed dark mode in setup screen
    • Fixed dependencies, conflicts detection when there is no space after a comma
    • Fixed update disappearing after an app relaunch
    • Fixed provides not working
    • Fixed update priorities which caused an issue where a package and it's dependencies were both updated and the package depended on the new dependency version

    [Question] How can I “get into” Checkm8 and (advanced?) jailbreaking in general?

    I'm a senior in high school and I want to learn how Checkm8 works and how to use it rather than just following a tutorial that teaches me nothing but a single application of Checkm8.

    I've checked out the up to speed wiki but there's a ton of stuff there and I'm not sure where to start and what all would be useful

    I've had jailbroken phones since I think it was called greenpois0n(?) but I've never done more than just jailbreak my phone, install some cool tweaks and call it a day (currently am on an iPhone 8, iOS 12.4.1, unc0ver jailbreaking with Cydia (not whatever this new zebra thing is unless that's different)).

    To get to the point, I want to learn how Checkm8 works but I don't have an in depth understanding of iOS infrastructure in general. I can hold my own programming in Python and some web dev with html so I think I can handle a decent amount of the concepts (I hope).

    But I saw a post on here awhile back that was a sort of "beware of bricking your phone" (here it is and there were the fancy terms like "dumping NOR" and such(which I can google definitions to, but being able to apply this knowledge would help me understanding it more).

    My question is what's the best way to approach this where I can understand posts like these and be able to use Checkm8 (on a spare device, of course) with the peace of mind that I could recover if something goes wrong? And how do I get into this hardware wise? I have a windows pc and a Mac but do I need special cables like this "SNR" cable ?

    Thanks for any help you can give in directing me where to start learning

    Edit: also I'm on mobile and the sidebar isn't super apparent (I could do the whole three dots thing in the stock reddit app) so apologies if there's an obvious "start here" that I've overlooked and the FAQ seems to just be more of "click here to find links for jailbreaking X Y and Z"

    [Question] is there a tweak that lets you open address links straight in the iOS Apple maps instead of google maps?? I know a lot people prefer google maps over the Apple stock maps but I personally prefer the Apple maps. Please help. Thanks!

    **iPhone 5s [Global], iOS 12.4, didn't jailbreak

    I read the article about downgrading iPhone 5s to 10.3.3. I want my iPhone to be downgraded. But I realized that I don't have mac devices. I considered borrowing a macbook from my friend but the article said it takes a long time.

    I have no shsh blobs, so I can't find any way to downgrade it. Can I use VMware or are there any ways to downgrade it on Windows? Thanks.
