Playing my PC games, in my living room using my Apple TV and control if it with a PS4 worked beautifully. So many different technologies working together so my lazy ass didn't have to run an HDMI from my office to my living room. Definitely made the fiancé happy! [link] [comments]  | ||

You put your thumb near the edge of the pad and click and it would skip a video ahead 10 seconds. Worked on all the apps. Hulu, Netflix, YouTube, Infuse My wife wanted that one on the upstairs TV, so this weekend we bought a brand new Apple TV 4k, and now the remote doesn't work the same. I put my thumb on the edge, and I click and I see the little "10" on the timeline come up, but nothing happens. Seems every app works differently on this. YouTube you do this now, and it just pauses the video and puts it in jog/shuttle mode. I've yet to get anything to do the "10 second skip". Is this new? Is something wrong? Now Apple Tv plus launched, obviously i am not entitled for any free subscription or anything. But when i opened the app, to my surprise i am able to watch everything without signing up for 7 days trial even. I have the 1080p Apple TV, but the lag is too much for me to be able to play anything that relies on reaction time. Does anyone know if the stronger processor in the 4K Apple TV will perform better? Content starts up faster and even skipping ahead is much snappier. I'm not sure if there's a better WiFi card in the 4K or if it's the processor. Just curious if other people have experienced this. Stopped working after apple upgrade a few weeks ago. TV app now just seems to show advertisements for different shows. Anybody know how to make it show "up next" or history like it did in the past? I know you can have different profiles, would the adult profiles be password protected? Can the kids profiles be limited to certain viewing times/lengths? I plan to buy the LG 4k OLED television on Black Friday. However, I have not yet purchased a streaming device, and am very confused by all the options. I'm attracted to the Apple TV, if only for the integration, but it feels weird purchasing one when the device is 2 years old already, and yet Apple hasn't announced any revisions to go along with ATV+. Is there a clear best option for 4k streaming with all the bells and whistles? Or, is it widely presumed there will be an Apple TV hardware revision sometime this year? Thank you in advance! | Posted: 03 Nov 2019 11:20 AM PST I just picked up an Apple TV 4K and had a question about the HDR...I'm looking through the movies and some movies say HDR (which I'm assuming is HDR 10) but others say Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos...I don't see a mention of all three so does this mean certain movies only support Dolby Atmos and Vision and not HDR 10 [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 03 Nov 2019 05:56 PM PST So now that they split the new OS into "TV" and "Music" the new TV store clearly isn't functioning.....saw the deal for The Office entire series for $30 online but can't find it in the TV app. I did find a link that sends me into the music app to purchase it, but how else can this workaround be fixed? Also thinking about buying the bundles of TV shows which can't be seen in the TV app. Thank you [link] [comments]  |
