Cannot play music while double-clicking the album cover on apple music?

    Posted: 26 Nov 2019 09:15 PM PST

So it just transferred me to the songs of the album instead of playing them directly. The problem happens on my new Macbook Pro 16inch. Didn't experience this on my old 15inch one. Anyone has the same experience?

    ThinkVision M14 doesn't work (MacbookPro 13" 2018 - Catalina OS)

    Posted: 26 Nov 2019 11:22 PM PST

    Hi,

I just bought Thinkvision M14 external monitor with DisplayPort type c in alternate mode. But when I tried to connect to my mac, the monitor didn't response (always go to power saving mode...). Any idea why? In theory, my macbook13 2018 should work with DisplayPort alternate mode, right?

I see some people can get this monitor work:

but there're a thread with similar problem:

    Posted: 26 Nov 2019 06:54 PM PST

Hi! So i'm thinking about purchasing the newest 2019 macbook air , how much is enough storage? Is 8GB memory a lot? & 128GB solid state drive enough? Im thinking about using it for school work and things like youtube, netflix, etc. I'll be a freshmen in community college next year.

Anyone with 2017 and 2019 MB Air experience?

    Posted: 26 Nov 2019 01:51 PM PST

Hi, finally got some money to buy myself my first Macbook Air. I can't decide between 2017 and 2019. Thinking about 2017 because I've heard/seen that it: is 300~ Eur/usd cheaper; has a waay better keyboard, since there are major issues with the butterfly keyboard; has more ports. Thinking about 2019 because I've heard/seen that it: has a better touchpad; has a better-looking screen and overall design; has better sound quality; has better display.

So, basically, I'm mostly afraid for the keyboard being horrible. HOWEVER, I think it makes sense to buy the newest and the most expensive laptop you possibly can afford when purchasing a laptop or any tech in general for that matter.

Maybe anyone had both versions and can help me compare them?

Macbook 12 crashes the moment I do any vaguely intensive task

    Posted: 26 Nov 2019 07:46 AM PST

I have a 2017 MB12 with the i7 processor option (in retrospective probably not worth it given the thermal constraints but here we are!)

It works fine and is snappy for normal day to day browsing, word processing, etc... but when I try to anything a little more intensive like graphics or photo work in Affinity Design/Affinity Photo with multiple layers it gets very hot then after a few minutes suddenly shuts down with a crash report indicating kernel panic.

Is this normal behaviour? The strange thing is it doesn't really slow down before crashing. Surely it should slow down and take longer to respond if there are performance/thermal constraints, not just run as normal then suddenly shut down.
