    My iPhone’s music playlist order is broken since Catalina

    Since updated to Catalina and now using with the revamped Music app to sync, the order of songs in my synced iPhone playlist is sort of inverted and some songs are even missing/ or in a untidy order.

    My Mac's Music playlist is a smart playlist that is sorted by last added at the top. And anyway the iPhone playlist used to be WSYWYG as observed on Mac iTunes.

    However, now even if I go to Mac's Music app's playlist and choose "copy to playlist order" and sync, the icon would change to albums indicating the newest songs but it still wouldn't sync in the right order.

    The only way to remedy is to duplicate the playlist and do the above and sync. but that only helps one-off. any subsequent update to the smart playlist will move any newer songs to the bottom again.

    How to fix this, I couldn't find any internet resources on this issue? thanks!

    macOS Catalina 10.15.1 Wi-Fi connection drops

    Anyone else have problems with double typing after upgrading to Catalina? atalin

    These spelling errors are legit and not done as an example. Sincince upgrading I am having this problem. I thought maybe it was my Apple wipple wireless keyboard but it also happens when I ususe the keyboard on my MacacBook Pro. ro

    I don't type any different or press a key too long. It just happens when it wants.

    My y Macbook is from 2016 whit a touchbar and has all the necessary updates.

    It's just's j a pain because I can't type regularly because I have to stop and edit all the mistakes. Normallormally I wouldn't submit this without editing but I figured this was the perfect example. Nothing othing has been done on purpose, all spelling mistakes are from this issue.

    macOS Catalina - Forced Re-Authentication to iCloud for Multiple Accounts?

    I have two accounts on my Mac, 1 for work and 1 for personal. On both, I stay signed in to the same iCloud account. This has never been an issue.

    After the upgrade to Catalina, every time I switch accounts, I'm forced to re-authenticate to iCloud, even though all iCloud services are working. I have to type my iCloud password, then my Macbook password, then my iPhone password. It's become a huge nuisance.

    I've tried everything I can think of, has anyone else experienced this and found a resolution?

    How fast would windows 10 be on an external SSD on boot camp?

    Hey everyone! So I need to use windows for auto-cad and solid works.. how fast or smoothly would it run on a fast external SSD, vs using the internal drive? And how would it affect software like auto cad?

    Not sure if it matters, but I have a 2018 MacBook Pro i7, 16GB ram with the upgraded graphics card. I know buying a windows PC would be ideal but don't really have the money to spend on it at the moment.

    Locking MacBook Pro to not use finger print? Similar to iPhone lockout?

    Not sure if I can explain this right but is it possible to force macOS to require your password instead of the Touch ID to unlock under certain circumstances?

    For example on iPhone say I want to force needing my PIN I can bring up the shutdown menu then cancel it or rapidly tap the power button a few times. This will force a PIN.

    That would allow you to lock down the device in a situation it could get taken from you.

    So is there a similar function in MacOS? Most of the time Touch ID is all I will want to use but if a situation ever came up I would want to force a password lock.

    Not trying to sound like a paranoid freak but just wondering. Thanks.

    Edit: should note I know I can just turn off Touch ID but rather find out if there is a similar lockout like iPhone has.

    Will the Music app get more UX / UI updates soon?

    Honestly I'm still super upset about it. Just curious if anyone has heard of Apple acknowledging it's pitfalls and if they're gonna do something about it?

    my personal issues w/ it:

    • clicking any album in library opens this new tab, doesn't allow you to continue to scroll through the library
    • a somehow worse search mechanism
    • fix the heart size...

    I literally just want iTunes back. I expected a snappy new app like Spotify. And literally got iTunes 2.0 with worse features. I'm dumbfounded. I already pay for both AM+Spotify, but I can't use any other music software with macOS cause it doesn't combing libraries with streaming.

    I am getting the "this website is using significant memory" message (with attendant safari slowdown) ALL the time since Catalina. it seems to be news type websites that are most affected, but not ones running lots of ad content etc. Any ideas?

    Macbook 15inch 2018 model wont turn on after update to 10.15.1

    As the tittle describes, I clicked update to the latest os and the download began... it finnished i clicked restart the computer and the computer shut down and never turned back on... what can i do? My mac isnt responding to any key combinations or to anything at all... it had 100% of battery when that happend...

    Catalina Problem on 2018 MacBook Pro 13inch with touch bar.

    So I just updated this morning (1am). I noticed problem with the login screen when I tried fingerprint sign-in. The screen was frozen when the cursor in loading animation. I just pressed shift and touch ID button and it rebooted. I was able to login. Now this afternoon my MacBook was fully charged and I put it in sleep mode. When I logged in I found out that I couldn't shutdown my computer, the two finger movement to see all tabs open was not working, and I couldn't fullscreens my safari. Other than this my touch bar was somewhat working. Siri was working.The mute and unmute icon did not,but the volume slider did. Other problems is that fan hit Max and I finally heard it went max for the first time in my life. Battery drained dry within two hours or less. I am now going back to my dorm and going to charge my macbook to see if I can reboot it. Please help I just got my MacBook and I am new Mac because I am used to windows. Some questions is that how to I resolve these problem and what shortcuts to use to shutdown my MacBook Pro with touch bar. Thank you.

    Photos, all kinds of incorrect dates/curation?

    Just curious if I'm the only one with these issues. I randomly clicked on "Moments" in photos this evening, and noticed one that said "Best of Last Month" and thought, wow, that's cool! So...proceeded to review, and the photos are from various months all the way back to June. The dates on the photos are correct, so apple's algorithm for curating must be incorrect? Not a HUGE deal by any means, but seems like a pretty easy concept, too easy to mess up?
